I was planning on doing a 2-3 day c/o, as per shettles method. But at the last minute i decided to just go for it and BD right through Ovulation. I had been taking all the GIRL supplements, used Replen's & did a Vinegar douche. I have seen to many BOYS come from c/o's & alot of Girl's from BDing right through O with enviroment changes.
This will be our last baby, so i really am praying that i have a Daughter cooking !

We used real eggwhites along with a baking soda douche. Probably tmi, but most of my husband's deposit slid out onto my leg immediately after he withdrew.
Also, our two previous girls were conceived while my husband had a varicocele, which causes low sperm count. He had surgery to correct it 3.5 years before this conception.
My husband and father-in-law are both from families of 3 boys and no girls, and I only have brothers.

Our last son was born in Dec. 2000. We tried M/S IUI in July of 2003 but were unsuccessful and couldn't afford another attempt. Tried a slight 0+12 the next month but m/c'ed at 5wks. From there I never tried another gender swaying method besides prayer. We m/c'd four more babies, the last being in Sept. of 05. I was prayed over at church and asked God to help me accept that I would never have another child or to heal me... I was pregnant immediately after my m/c and before my next cycle. AND we are having our first little girl!!! What a miracle to have a healthy pregnancy and a daughter. I am still in shock and in denial until after he arrival and a positive GIRL confirmation.

About 6 weeks after we had conceived, I had just found out I was definately pregnant and was VERY VERY sick morning, (noon and night) sickness. I think the more queasy you feel, the more likely it is to be a girl. My daughter is now almost 6 and most of my friends that had bad morning sickness have girls as well

I miscalculated when I would O the month we conceived and had somewhat spontaneous intercourse the morning I ended up ovulating (me thinking I could also try a cutoff period and the O+12 and I'd O a few days later!). We NEVER have morning sex, so when I O'd later that day I figured this baby would be what we were supposed to have, and somehow we got a girl!

I had read bits and pieces about the Shettles method however did not read his book. Because of my profession I am a researcher and therefore did not hold a lot of stock in the Shettles method because there was almost no evidence to support it. Shettles recommnedation to have intercourse a few days prior to ovulation to conceive a daughter made theoretical sense so I kept it in mind as I hoped for a daughter. I was also aware of the Chinese lunar calendar. Again, this is a method with no scientific evidence supporting it but I attempted conception only during the months it stated I would conceive a girl. I figured it couldn't hurt! I am now expecting a second little boy on June 4. I am quite sure it truly is a boy because I have a picture of what can be none other than a scrotum. I wanted a little girl very badly but I can't say I actively did anything to try a low-tech (or high-tech) method to conceive a girl.

I ovulated on CD20. We BD on CD 17 rear entry and shallow penetration at ejaculation, and then BD again on CD 19 and CD 21. Both of these days were "withdrawl" methods...ejaculation took place outside of my body. So I'm looking at this pregnancy as more of a 3 day cutoff "attempt" although it wasn't planned that way, and we weren't "trying" per se. I do know that it is entirely possible that the "withdrawl" episodes could have resulted in me becoming pregnant...but if that is the case, I'm hoping that environment was the bigger factor on those days, since I had creamy cm on CD19 and no cm on CD21.
We are PRAYING that this baby is a GIRL!!!

The month prior I took Lydia Pinkham, however it really messed up my cycle and I believe I had an anovulatory month. This month I tried Vitex and it caused me to ovulate later in the month (cycle day 15 instead of 12). Smartstork says 98%boy territory, but we decided to try anyways with suppliments and 3 day cut off.

Took 1500 mg of cranberry supplements the day of conception and every day till ovulation to sway PH balance in favor of a girl. I heard somewhere that PH balance over rides the shettle timing so I tried this shortcut instead of the girl diet.

We tried for 10 months to conceive. I gave up on the gender selection several months ago in an attempt just to have any gender of baby. I saw the doctor, who determined that I have insuline resistancy levels and he put me on Glucophage. I week later I conceived. Not anticipating to conceive that quickly after beginning the medicine we didnt "try" that month since the doctor said it would take up to six months. So, we didnt try and we got pregnant. imagine that!
Update: I had a 3D ultrasound at 15 weeks to determine the baby's gender and it is another boy.

The survey would not let me select a few things. EWCM and SHOW started cd 7 and lasted through cd 13. The default was cd 10. This is not abnormal for me as I generally had a pre-o dip cd7-8 and then ovulated for real later on, around cd15-17. The early O took me completely by surprise. I was only just beginning to plan the every night bd with a cutoff. the rest of it just worked out. since I o'd early, and had not bd for the last 2 days (and i had moved on to 1 day cut offs by this point) I decided to try o+12. David (dh) was a very active Air Force jet crewman during my boys cycles. With Maggie, he was driving a truck and very NOT active LOL. I had tons of EWCM during boy conceptions and not quite as much during my girl conception (age..cranberry juice.. who knows). We prayed with all our heart for a baby girl. We bd missionary position shallow, no O for me. With my boys, I O'd (blushing...just trying to help!)

We started out missionary (I achieve orgasm this way - not doggie style), but not quite to the point of an orgasm for me. Then we changed to doggie style for hubby to have his orgasm. Tried to Shettle for a girl, had calculated that the O-day must be day 16 in the cycle. But had O on day 14 (BD:ed on day 13 of cycle to have 3 days til O). Have a feeling the O was random (!) and came 2-3 days to early. Also, it was my second period cycle after 1 year of breastfeeding (dont have AF at all when I breastfeed, usually its gone for a year).
Tried Shettles for previous DS, I am positive we BD:ed 3 days ahead of O (I have very regular cycles and O-pain som I always know when its O-time). But it wasnt a girl, it was DS #3 that came in april 1997.

Some of the answers might be conflicting only b/c we were NOT trying to become pregnant, in fact we tried to avoid pgcy! We used protection when we bd on days 15 & 18, so I can't really answer part 5 quest. #3 due to the fact that we didn't have unprotected sex during my fertile time?
I know I ov'ed on day 21, (as per BBT and CM) and I know our last bd was NO LATER then the 18th (using a condom tho). It was only my 2nd cycle since AF returning after weaning my last baby...therefore my cycles were longer as they usually are after first having my children but once it regulates, I ordinarily have very regular cycles.
I'm not sure I understand how to answer part 4 regarding the cycle day/s of IO (bbt)? I noticed the temp shift higher after ovulation (98.0) on day 22 and remained above my CL, (98.0-98.2 until days after, around implantation when it spiked again to 98.6). Is that what was being asked there?

The cycle I conceived this baby was my 4th cycle off the bcp. Cm the cycle I conceived was scant and did not reach ewcm until cd17 which I now believe was an effect of implantation. O'd at 9:10am on cd11 (based on distinct sharp pain on rt. ovary that lasted for hours). Bd'd 39 hours prior with spermacide "films". Also bd'd without protection 40 hours after o which I do not believe based on what I've studied could have very likely resulted in conception. BTW all 4 MALE pg's were a result of bding 12 hours prior to o to 1 hour after o, so they definately go along with Shettles' theory. Also in those days I recall abundant ewcm at the time of o. My first pg was with twin boys that unfortunately did not survive b/c of their prematuraty (born at 23 weeks gest). I have 3 healthy boys and am PRAYING every day this is our little girl as this is definatley our last child.

We had a SHettles/O+12 attempt when we conceived this baby. We Bd'd on CD 12, got a + OPK on day 15, but had no temp rise until day 18. I thought the day 12 BD was too early to resuly in a pg, so we threw in an O+12 attempt at 10pm on the night of the temp rise (day 18). I am nearly 100% sure that is the attempt that we conceived with. So we have an O+12 attempt with nearly 7 days abstinence.

prayed for her before conception, for a healthy 8pd girl and fast painless delivery. she wieghed 8pds 1oz(not bad for answered prayer) delivered 20 min after I got to the hospital with very little pain.god does answer prayer!!!

I was BF DS#2 exclusively until he was 12 months then I started to wean inorder to TTC. I was BF 2x per day when I conceived DS#3. No return of AF, very little CM if any. No O pain. Nothing to signal O had occured. Just took HPT monthly b/c I had no AF and no BC used so I knew there was a chance we could still conceive eventhough BF. HPT turned out +. I believed we would have a DS#3 b/c DH father had just passed away. I believe we conceived a DS to carry on the name. :) Hopefully #4 will be a DD:)

When I say "little" salt intake, I mean that I avoided foods with more than a small salt content and I did not place salt on anything.
When I refer to daily intercourse during the fertile period, I mean that from day 8 through day 18 we had unprotected intercourse each day, once a day.
I was using a Clear Plan Fertility Monitor once a day in the morning (8 AM) and at night I was taking a regular OPK test (11 PM) to try to catch the first sign of possible ovulation.
I have aways had irregular menstrual cycles (from 40 to 60 days) and five months before conceiving I started using a "natural" progesterone cream. Within three months I was having cycles from 30 to 35 days). :)
Immediately after intercourse on all days except for day 18, I raised my hips with pillows after intercourse to give the sperm a little advantage. On day 18 I just turned over on my left side (old wives tale!) and went to sleep!

I was breastfeeding my dd alot during the week we TTC so I had very little CM. My first Shettles dd was conceived with lots of EWCM and a 3 day cutoff too so I'm not sure if this matters to me very much!
