I read on ( that high levels of gonadotropin may be the cause of these dots. A study that was done on higher levels of Maternal serum human chorionic gonadotropin does according to the study indicate a higher prevalence of girl foetuses so maybe in some cases this may indicate pregnancy with a girl?, I just quickly scanned through the study but it seems to be a very interesting piece of reading material.
