I passed this on to Babybobadoo to update the EGS attempts sheet, I hope this can be off some help to anyone looking to do a some Blue EGS in the future. x
Peachy Keen's EGS Boy sway - It's a Boy!
Did you do MSU or SU? MSU - although it was more of a modified swim
Did you use anything to help the EW float, if so, what did you use? No additives, but I did my sort
in a small syringe because the only way I got the EW to float was by sucking up
the sperm first then slowly sucking up the ew and easing it to a downwards 45
degree angle. I could not get the EW to float with swim up but could easily
with swim down.
What type of incubator did you use? I used an incubation lamp and
How much of a sample did DH give? He gave
about 3ml and I used 2.5ml
How much EW did you use? 2.5ml
What was the pH of the EW? 9
Did you place the test tube at a 45° angle? yes (Downwards)
Did the temperature hold steady at 99°? It varied between 96-99 but never over
How long did you leave the sample to incubate for? 1hr
Describe your sort. Use this information from Tamara to describe
"The top 5-20% (somewhere in there) of the egg white
will be shooting star sperm- these in theory are the super X
swimmers. The next layer of EW is the fast strait swimmers.
Then that layer that touches EW to semen will be mixed (straight and
slow). The semen layer will have slow and circle sperm."
My sort was just as Tamara described. I didn't see
any super x but majority x in the top layer. I had to take off 10% to get to
the majority straight swimmers
Did you do TBM?
Yes I used an instead cup, sat up straight for 2 hours once inserted,
than fell asleep for another 5 with it still in.
Don't forget the add how your sway went (diet, ions, timing etc.) I feel the rest of my sway went really well not sure if I would
have been considered to have done all 7 factors as I did TW diet and
unfortunately due to M/C my moons phase was not right but I tried various other
methods to change ions. You can see my full sway here http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/p/210283/2013896.aspx#2013896
