Today marks the last day of the first month I began dieting and exercising! I am not sure the actual pounds I have lost, but I went from a size 8 to a size 6. The main thing that makes me soooooo happy is that I don't have all of the over hang anymore. Before, I would have a fat roll hanging all around my jeans and now there is almost nothing and I am down a size! To celebrate, I went and bought a new jean skirt and some cute short shorts from Old Navy.

Thanks ladies for the positive comments! I feel so much better working out!

Basically I have been dieting really hard - oatmeal & banana for breakfast, protein shake and rice cake w/pb for snack, salad with grilled chicken for lunch w/ light dressing, another protein shake & rice cake w/pb for 2nd snack, and meat (chicken, pork chops, etc..) with green beans or peas, and a handful of brown rice, last snack 2 rice cakes w/pb. I am all rice caked out!!!! I do take one cheat meal a week and eat whatever I want.

Working out - I do 3 hours a week of cardio - which equals out to 30 min of cardio, 6 days a week. I am on week 3 of the couch to 5K program so I do treadmill running/walking at least 3 days a week at home and the other days I go to the gym and use the elliptical. I also do at least 10 min. of abs almost every day and then I alternate days where I do arms and butt exercises from exercise TV on demand. I use 3 lbs, 5lbs, and resistance band for exercises.

DH is a personal trainer so he helps me ALOT.

That is awesome! I love to hear success stories. You look smaller than a size 6 to me, I'd have guessed you at a size 2. Good job!

Aww thanks!!! I am 5'8 so I think I am bigger overall.

Thanks! It means so much to hear positive feedback. I am just so proud of myself that I have come so far...still need some work though! I have never worked out before in my life, I can actually jog on a treadmill (which is something I never thought I could do), and it has only been 1 month since I started all of this. I had a huge roll that I never thought I could get rid of!!

I have set a goal for myself that I am going to do a marathon. Hopefully by the end of the summer!!!
