Hi again,
I'm just posting this here instead of opening a new subject. I had my scan today because I had a doc appointment and the tech had time, so I at least saved a trip. It's a boy again. I didn't cry, but I'm totally loosing interest in this pregnancy. Now I'm not even getting my money back from TMPOB. I'm crushed. You'll find me in the Gender Disappointment Forum. Good luck to eve...

Thank you Chloe....
I'm already very nervous about next week. I don't know how I will react in front of the ultrasound tech. Many people just think you are a horrible person for crying because of the "wrong" gender. Of course, the baby's health comes first, but I always wanted a daughter....I just can't help it. I'm just so nervous that my heart starts racing when I think of t...

Hi Chloe,
don't be worried about your ultrasound.....and enjoy the fact that you're expecting a little girl. Click on this link to see that another lady who took TMPOB and got a boy result just found out she's expecting her first daughter after 3 boys.

Teresa, my youngest son will be 1 in Dec....(next baby is due in April)....I know that's very close together in age. There are probably still some very vivid y-chromosomes left in my blood. However, it says in the article there is a method that distuinguishes the "old" fetal cells from fetal cells that stem from a current pregnancy. I think TMPOB is working on that since some women who ...

Don't believe anything before you see it with your own eyes. I checked with the company before purchasing the kid if there is any chance that there are still y-chromosomes in my blood from my previous boy pregnancies. They said no......of course. Later, I found an article stating that it is scientifically proven that y-chromosomes can stay in a mother's body up to 20 years (I think it was 20) afte...

Hi Teresa.....yes, we are in the same boat. My scan is Nov 29. I haven't called the company.......I think it's not easy to get the money back. They are such a scam! I can only pray that they don't get away with it in my case, and it really turns out the results were wrong. I'm very happy for Chloe and pray the same will happen to us. Sending lots of pink your way as well!

Congrats to you chloe36,
I am so hoping and praying the same will happen to me. I cried so much after my boy result since this is my last chance to have a daughter after two boys (like teresa). I wish you all the best.....and make sure you get a full refund from TMPOB.

Did my TMPOB test Sep 23 and got a boy result one week later via e-mail, but never received an actual certificate in the mail. I'm about 14 1/2 weeks and will have my 1st ultrasound at week 20 (for any additional ones I'd have to pay extra as well). Consumer genetics wants one performed after 21 weeks in order to give away that gift card. I'll just send in that one fr...

Chloe,
just e-mail or fax them your ultrasound if you can have the 20 week one before December 1st cause that's the deadline as it says. If you are far enough in your pregnancy it should work out for you as well. Where did you order your TMPOB kit? Maybe it was a different site.

Hi everybody,
just wanted to share this e-mail w/ you all and see what you think. I think they received a few complaints about their product's accuracy. What do you think of this? Read below.
Consumer Genetics, Inc. is attempting to assess its quality assurance processes over the last few months. We hope to measure our accuracy and identify areas that need attention.
We are offering a $50 gift ...

yes daziedazie, Finn was definately meant to be. I feel the same with this baby.........we weren't ready to try for a girl before the next year, so this was a big surprise. I have two boys 3 years and 10 month old.......there are definately still y-chromosomes in my blood from them. No matter what this baby is.

I'm so mad.........I specifically asked them in an e-mail if there could be any left over y-chromosomes from my sons in my blood. They said "no" and now I'm reading they can stay up to 27 years after you've given birth. I really should have done more research before the test. They are such a scam, and if they are ri...

I won't have an u/s any time soon because I'm only 13 weeks. I was thinking the same as chloe36: maybe the lab techs are doing their jobs differently in the U.S. and U.K. I'm in the U.S. as well.
Chances are good that they are right in my case as mu dh and I had intercourse way after I ovulated and that means boy. I'll let you know when this agonizing time of uncertainty is over.

Hi,
I'm new to this site. In the past two days I've read so many posts here and totally regret taking this test. I ordered the test well aware of the fact that DNA world wide is not offering it anymore, but I was thinking the wrong results were only girl results that turned out to be boys, so I took the risk and ordered the TMPOB-kit from genetree.com. I just wanted to be able to find out in the ...
