Re: Early PH Levels for gender prediction?

I think you are supposed to go by FMU, not CM when checking pH levels for gender prediction. I read a post sometime back that midwives also swear by this theory, but it has to be FMU, since diet will change your urine pH. I tested mine with FMU and that was the one that was accurate. It was always 6.5 or higher and we had a boy.

Re: How are your babies sleeping & eating so far??

He was almost 11 lbs at 4 weeks old. He is almsot 7 weeks old now, so I am not sure what his weight is, but at our 8 week appt, I will let you know. I think his reflux has something to do with him eating so much. The dr. gave us some medicine and encouraged us to try to get him to take a pacifier, but he still eats a ton and doesn't really want the pacifier LOL

Re: How are your babies sleeping & eating so far??

My guy eats about 6oz every 3 hours or so.  We had to stop BF'ing because he would just nurse and nurse and nurse and still want a bottle afterwards. So, given that I have a 5 and 3 year old at home, it was just too much. We stopped nursing just recently and it has made life a thousand times easier. He takes his bottle in 15 or 20 minutes, I burp him, change him and we are done. He is awake a...

Re: C-Section Scheduled

I have had 4 c-sections.The first was horrible because it was emergency and they cut me vertically. The 2nd was not so great either because I was so scared to move that I think that it took longer for me to recover and was more painful. The 3rd I decided I was going to get up and moving as soon as I could, so the next day I was walking around the L&D Floor. The 4th I did the same thing a...

I can't wait...

to not have heartburn, for my hips to stop aching, to be able to hold my pee all night, to wear jeans that zip and button, to be able to catch my kids when they run away from me, to get out of bed unassisted, to wear my wedding ring, for the hair on my belly to go away, to wear a really nice pair of thongs and not have to change them 10 times a day, to make it through one day without thinking...

Re: It's started

Oh my..  I woke up extremely nervous. The thought that at this time next week, our baby will be born is very frightening. I don't know why since this isn't my first rodeo, but I tell you--I am on edge. Not that I want to be pregnant for another 9 months, but I almost want to start over just so I don't have to set foot in that operating room [doh]

Re: It's started

I like knowing in that I can be prepared, but it is also scary at the same time and it sort of takes the fun out getting to say "we are in labor time to go.." sort of thing :)

Re: Average fetal length and weight?

I was told this baby was almost 5 lbs at 30 weeks and right under 7 lbs at 34 weeks.

30 Weeks. Everyone is looking so great! Is everyone prepared? Are you still needing stuff? I feel like I have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it in. LOL

Re: Did you lose a bust size or two?

I went from an F to an A and I breastfed for about 3 months. I was a c/d before getting pregnant. This was my 3rd child, so not sure if that made a difference or not.

Re: Anyone with placenta accreta or know anyone with it?

They have been monitoring this since I was 18 weeks along. I am seeing a perinatologist for this as well as a couple of things with the baby. The ultrasounds are very detailed and I trust the diagnosis from the perinatologist. Normally, I would want to go with the most conservative approach, but with this condition, from what I understand, the most conservative has the highest mortality rate. I wo...

Anyone with placenta accreta or know anyone with it?

What was the outcome? Hysterectomy or other outcome? Dr. told me today that a hysterectomy is dangerous, but from what I am reading, not doing one is equally if not more, dangerous. I asked what the fatality rate was and he said it was 10x that of someone just having a c-section. He is already prepared for the delivery. He will have his partner present, as well as an urologist and blood for the tr...

Re: The Chicken Boy Butt club bringing in the New Year!

I didn't do the progesterone because my Dr. didn't think it would help if it was indeed a threatened miscarriage. I bled quite a bit. I had to use a pad for almost 4 months. One day, it just stopped, out of the blue. This is normal..keep your fluids up and don't over exert yourself.

Re: Shettles Versus O+12

We tried shettles for a boy as well for our third child and DTD every other day around O and had our sweet little DD#3. This time we DTD 1 time before O and are finally getting our boy, so I definitely think Shettles has it a little backwards, as I know quite a few women on here and IRL with Shettles opposites. I would go for 0+12 as well for a girl.

Re: The Chicken Boy Butt club bringing in the New Year!

[quote user="jensgirls"] [quote user="wantalittleman"] It does look like you O'ed on CD12, but I am also curious to all the open circles. Did you discard those temps for some reason? Are you temping vaginally? You could have also O'ed between CD12 and CD13. As far as the OPK's go, remember that when you finally see a +, the LH surge has already been in your system for at least 5 hours, so you h...
