hi in london you can go via the portland- private hospital, plus there are quite a few uss places that will do private scans for you
cars are you near bristol? when i was looking for monitoring, i gave up on the fertility clinics and did a search for 'ultrasound scanning services'- a lot of these routinely do monitoring scans for women going abroad for ivf. they will ask a bit why you are having ...

Hi Dr PotterI am about to start treatment (anovulatory PCO) and wonder once you start gonal f (150 units daily) how early can OHSS develop, and when should the first scan be? I have been told to have one day 6 but wonder if its worth having one sooner?.also, due to timing of travel etc, we may be already on the road on day 6, therefore will a day 5 scan do just as well or do I really need to...

give it time ola, you never know with men, i would just let it rest for a time, men can be so stubborn and a lot of men like to feel in control, and with ivf etc, there is not much we can do, let alone men, to control the outcome, it can be so frustrating for dw and dh....this ivf journey is so hard, i am sorry for your trauma

not oz i know but here, a woman in the UK had PGD to have a girl after (i think) all her sons died early or miscarried. Though they didn't know what were the causes, or even if they were related, the woman understandbly felt that any future conceptions would have to be female in order to avoid going through the heartache of miscarrying/losing babies. permission had to be granted and she went...

i can really sympathise as we have the same trouble in the uk. i asked my IVF spec who i had previously seen for well fertility issues, no surprise there, and i said i would like to go abroad for family balancing could he help with the monitoring etc beforehand- and the answer was a resounding no. he said it wasnt ethical to do so as he would be assisting in something that is not legal. so n...

hiTam has been to UKCFA so maybe pm her. i think the downside of ukcfa is the cost- works out about £10k for 1 cycle, by the time you have added in flights and accomodation. Plus I am sure Tam said she didn't have any blood work done before she started her treatment, which I thought was a bit strange, but I could be wrong, Tam?
It makes me sooo mad that PGD in not available in the UK, it's just not fair.
I unfortunately have a very bad fear of flyng & can only fly with diazapam. This counts me out for PGD as it is really harmful to the potential baby. )-:
i dont like flying either...so we are driving to europe

I have had 2 different recommendations from 2 different clinics about stimulation protocol. The first clinic has advised BCP f...
