A little history...my dh has wanted to go high tech ever since I told him about it when I was pg last time. Our youngest is now 7 months old so he is bringing it up often.
I know around here, most of you ladies have had to persuade your dh, but for me it is the other way around. Yes, I want a son, but I am content with 4 (very active) daughters as well. I promised him I would go...

I feel your pain. I'm experiencing the same thing on my right breast. Last week I went to the LC and she recommended a triple antibiotic ointment to heal the nipple, since apparently my son has a great latch too. You mix equal parts miconazole 2% (like monistat 7), polysporin, and 1% hydrocortizone in a small amount on your finger. Mix it toget...

Hi ladies! The babies are soooo cute and getting sooo big!!
Skye is such a happy girl. She will not eat ANYTHING from a spoon. I literally tries every day and she turns away and gags like I'm killing her. I have tried once a day for almost 2 weeks now. She is just not interested. Here's my little milk monster...

Aww good I'm glad it's getting better! It could have been a growth spurt too, my baby will eat more and sleep less for a few days and then sleep through the night a few days. I drink skim milk...yuck, full fat tastes like cream to me! LOL

Skye was like that but here in the last week she has been taking more predictable and longer naps.
At night she has recently been going down at about 10pm, waking briefly to eat at 6am, and then back to sleep until 8 or 9am. But again, this just started. She was all over the place with day time naps before, maybe only snoozing 20 or 30 minutes at a time. Now she takes a g...

When my babies bite I put my boob away and put baby down. That normally teaches them pretty quick that biting mommy is only funny for a moment. LOL

I have tried them. I don't think they did much...I used them 5 or 6 times and then threw them away.

This is what I'm wondering too. It might look okay, but could still be causing damage. Since she's slipping off, she might not have a good as a latch as it appears. What position do you use on the one side vs. the other?
I second the osteopath. I took Liam in, and it turns out he couldn't open his jaw wide enough to get a proper latch...

Wow, you really have tried hard! The Jack Newman's cream is what has worked for me when I had cracked nipples, so I am surprised to see that it has not helped you. Have you used it after every feeding? This makes me wonder if her latch is really okay. Two of my babies had latches that looked fine from the outside but were doing damage to my nipples because of what they wer...

I don't really have any advice. You are already doing all the things I would do. I mostly just wanted to say hi, because I remembered being on the GD board a bunch with you during our pregnancies. I hope things are going well with your baby girl (aside from the painful breastfeeding). Is your GD better?
Hi Hobbermittens! Yes, my GD is better. ...

Oh hun, I'm so sorry!
The first thing you should do is treat the cause. Have you checked to make sure the baby is latching correctly on that side. Sometimes, they might not like the angle on one side vs the other... so you can have a perfect latch on one side but not the other. Correcting the latch on that side should help more than anything....

I guess I partially co-sleep. I put her to bed in her crib. When she wakes I bring her into my bed to feed her. If I fall asleep, then we co-sleep. If I wake up a few hours later, I may or may not keep her in bed with me. For naps she sleeps in her crib.

The fact that everyone keeps calling this lady the skank is bothering me...she owed nobody anything. If she is a skank, crackhead, then he's even worse for not putting on a condom while having an affair. Does he not know that HIV is real?!?!? UGH!
My baby is ten weeks old. My nipples were sore in the beginning like they normally are, but for whatever reason, my right nipple never got better. It got a crack in it the first week. That crack has still not healed. I have tried everything, and nursing on that side is STILL painful and the crack opens up with every feeding. It does not bleed, but it hurts really bad....

From my experiences, it may be too late to get her to really readily take a bottle. She may take it if she HAS to, (because she's REALLY hungry) but will fight it. I've always had this problem with all my girls except this one. The difference with this one is that I offer her one bottle daily when she was about 3 weeks old until now. So now she's used to it. I just pu...

Hello ladies, it's been forever since on been on here!
Skye is doing great, I am so in love with her! I've never had a "good baby" like this...she is just so easy! She was smiling at a week old, not even kidding! What baby does that? And not just sleep smiles, actually smiling at us when we talk to her! She rarely cries and she will sit and watch me clean or work wit...
