Insurance didn't cover hardly anything for us, but we did list our medical bills in our taxes, so hopefully you can recoop some of your monies that way!

WOW, so we have exactly the same due date and this is also my 3rd child. Last Thurs I was 2 cm and 40% effaced and like you I just have had a few small bits of discharge and keep waiting any moment now for the big yucky blob! But it is not happenning. I keep thinking back to my earlier pregnancies that were textbook and wondering why this is so different, but here we are. I...

My mom always came the week after the baby was born. My DH was the only one in the room and we enjoyed having that first week alone to ourselves to bond as a new family. After that he went back to work and it was nice to have my mom there to help when the sleep deprivation really set in! It was also easier for her to schedule her plane ticket since she new when the baby was born!

Loving Cheyenne, just not sure what you would call her for short or what nicknames would come of it. I know too many boys named Skylar, but Skye is definitely a girl name!!

Yep! We did it with 1, 2 and last week I signed up to receive kit #3. Too bad the price climbs higher and higher each time. My dh and I come from two very different ethnicities and were told that sometimes that much of a mix can be hard to find a suitable donor should a need occur. Plus I am a big proponent of medical science and its potential benefits, which seem to be gro...

Ok so this is my third pregnancy and I am also experiencing the funny really fast twitching up high too! And I have to admit a seizure crossed my mind too, I just don't remember this feeling before. It is definitley not hiccups I know that feeling and it is a super fast multiple kicking motion that makes you think can they move that fast? Hoping it is just kicks and glad I a...

We started out with the decision to do MS/IUI since we also conceived quickly the first two times. We had financially prepared for 3 tries. Then we opted to have DH do a sperm test and to our surprise he had a low count so that took us out of the IUI option and into IVF. Then to my surprise out of the 9 embies we had 2 males after MS! That is 77%, that actually shocked...

Yeah, I was pretty freaked out about the whole IVF process and the needles at the beginning, but you get through it, you keep your eye on the end goal and think of the millions of women who have also been through the same thing. Oh I forgot to mention that we didn't have alot of choice since DH sperm count was on the lower side so MS/IUI was not an option much to our surprise since both prev...

Yep, they definitely need to know if you are doing Microsort. If I remember correctly there is a bunch of Microsort paperwork and you have to actually get accepted into that program too. Then if all goes well and you are approved for the Microsort then they will have DH come in first thing the morning of your ER, so DH went in at 7am and I don't remember going in for two more hour...

Thanks for the reply Michaela. I second that! MS helps with the odds, but PGD is the guarantee, 99%, 100% good enough for me! Haven't people done PGD without the MS and not had any of the desired gender?

Honestly my husband really wanted a girl and it took him 2 years to talk me into it. I think I just finally came into a place in my life where I felt safe and secure with myself, came to grips with my relationship with my mom, and realized how wonderful my relationship is with my stepmom and how when we are older that our kids and family is all we have at the end of the day and that ...

I second most everyone's posts!! I thought I was very fertile too and my Clomid test and everything was great. Then I started the real meds and at my first ultrasound had very few and very small follicles. I freaked out, they doubled my meds and by the end I still didn't feel like I had a lot (9 fertilized) but the quality was great and one took, and for me all I needed was one!!...

We didn't tell everyone either, so when I slipped up and said "Her" which was often, I just said "Oh I am willing it to be a girl", or "I have just decided it is a girl" Everyone would of course say the opposite and move on in the conversation. I have to admit I was very relieved when we had our 20 wk ultrasound so we could say for sure to everyone it was a girl (of course we already k...

Agreed, HT is a very tough decision. Like your DH mine said only one more so let's go HT, this was actually all his idea. So I was the one struggling with the decision. At first due to money and let's face it the needles I wanted to just go MS/IUI but as you get further in the process and like you said really look at the percentages we opted for MS/IVF/PGD, and I very much dislik...

Love.
But that is because I'm only like the biggest fan of Zoe Saldana and Zoey Deschanel EVER.
Love love love. There is a 99.9999499% chance you will end up with the most precious little girl ever if you name her Zoe.

How sweet are you! Thank you!

So my husband and I like to come up with different names without being too out there. Anyway we are 99% on Zoey, but it looks like it is growing in popularity lately. Do you notice it becoming more popular? Do you like it? I also keep hearing about how someone's dog is named Zoey, or that the Elmo on Sesame Street is a Zoe. Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks

I was laying down for about an hour. I had an acupuncture session right after ET. She did it right there in the room, so I didn't have to move an inch. To me-- this was my saving grace. I was really worried about getting up "too early". I remember reading someone's story... maybe it was Maureen's(?), I can't remember exactly, but she did an IUI and laid with her ...

My ER was scheduled for Sat and then after my last U/S we post poned one day (Dr P recommendation) to do ER on Sunday. I felt really bad that I was making them come in to work on a Sunday and when I apologized to Lori she said are you kidding we are open 364 days a year (Christmas we close)!! And then I was even more shocked when there were like 5 or 6 couples in the waiting room on a S...

Thank you for joining in the forum and your reply! It is good to hear a positive story. We will continue to monitor things closely and pray all goes well. At least we know there are many good stories out there with positive outcomes! They do say early detection is rare and the key! Thanks again
