Brylee is now very sick. She has a terrible cold and is suffering big time. She can hardly breath without coughing and can hardly feed without choking. Poor baby. She is sleeping better than she was so thats good. Its awful when they are sick. I worry all night long that she will choke. She has so much mucous. I am just glad she is right by my side in my b...

Just had to say...Lily is soooooooooo cute.
Brylee is so not ready for solids. She still does the head bopping thing like a new born. She does have strength in her neck but not full control as yet. She is not rolling over yet either, but then she doesnt really get much opportunity to as she is still sleeping after most feeds. She will get there!

A change in their baby since their 4 month needles? Brylee has been off colour for nearly a week afterwards poor little girl. She is usually such a quiet and contented baby but since her needles, she hasnt been the same. She is still an angel of course but she just doesnt seem as settled as she was prior to her needles.

My Brylee girl is 13lbs and she was born on 9 June so I guess she is on the smaller side. She is 25 inches (or 63cm). At her 4 month check they said they are a little concerned at her head measurment as it has dropped off the curve a bit. I spoke with a friend who is a midwife and she said, they shouldn't measure heads anymore as the measurments are inconclusive and dont really m...

Just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world. I did this 2 years ago and raised $2100 aussie dollars for my effort. My hair grows really fast so didnt take to long for it to return to normal! I have had many hair cuts since! I did hate it though after I had it done and felt a little ugly, but I just kept reminding myself I did this for a reason.
Good luck again.

That is funny! They are twins. I wouldn't worry about what they are and aren't doing either. Riley can roll over, but does he. Nope!
Oh, and I think he's been unsettled lately because he may be teething. Anyone else? Eli got his first 2 teeth on November 10th. My kids have almost the same birthday, so I'm wondering if Riley will get...

thanks for the congrats...and just for the record, it was a big win but had to be shared but we still ended up with heaps. It sure did help change our lives.
$1.6 million that got shared between 15 people wasnt too bad at all. I think all up we ended up with just over $100,000 each :) and yes my husband still works lol, how silly to stop working!!!

since I went on my first date with my husband! So much has happened in that time. Marriage, 5 children, holidays, pets, cars, interstate move, another interstate move in the plans, wrinkles, grey hairs and alot of fun and life changing times. Oh we even won the lotto in that period!
Happy 16th Anniversary to us!

Re the food allergy thing...
I had to clarify thats what she said as I knew it as what you had typed. I even said, but my baby is breastfed shouldnt i wait until 6 months and she again said its up to me but the recommendation is now 4 months. Apparently the more we can introduce at an earlier age, the less the body will reject. My little girl is so not ready. As prev...

Good luck with starting solids. My paediatrician recommended we start at 4 months even though my baby is fully breast fed. She told me that alot of babies who are left to the 6 month mark are at more risk of developing allergies to foods than babies that have been started at 4 months. My baby is 4 months of the 9th of October but she is still so much like a newborn. I will ...

Hi,
My baby was exactly the same. She was 8lb10.5oz and dropped to around the 7lb7oz within the first week. She 'seemed' to be feeding well also making all the right sounds etc. We eventually noticed that she was putting her tongue to the roof of her mouth but was still able to latch on correctly and get some milk but not enough. She also developed quite bad jaundice and e...

my little girl is the most amazing sleeper. she sleeps most of the day (well she is happy to wake in her bassinette for a while and then put herself off to sleep) and she is going down most nights at 8-9pm and waking at around 6am. She has been doing that since about mid August. Last week she did wake in the middle of the night 4 nights running but those nights I had the air cond...

My baby girl is doing great. She is 5.35kg, feeding well, very happy and still sleeping a treat. We have paediatrician tomorrow for follow up from when she was in SCBU.
As for me, well thats a different story. I am so down its not funny. I am grumpy, sad and just plane horrible to be around. I feel like a maid picking up after everyone without any apprec...

No matter what the reason, you will always get comments about something! You are doing a great job making your baby healthy and thats all that matters. The comments do get annoying after a while though. I get comments about Brylee's hair all of the time. I deliberately made her wear a beanie a few weeks back and so many people actually noticed her eyes!
