Re: Should I ????

To THIS DAY my fiance doesn't know i sneakily went and had a private scan done at 16wks to prepare me for what the gender might be.  I just couldn't wait the 4wks until my 20wk scan. From the day i told family and friends I was pregnant, I was told by everyone I was having a girl, my 3 boys were anxious as hell for me to give them a sister, i felt so under pressure by everyone, that...

Re: This is gonna sound so stupid but

Thanks for all  your comments, but i still can't help the way I feel, made worse today as I took my daughter to the nursery and my son came with me, and he instantly made a beeline for the dolls.  Hopefully he'll grow out of it all. Thanks for not thinking me silly and thanks again for responding.

This is gonna sound so stupid but

My 3rd son was a GD baby, i was soooo disappointed when i found out he was a boy, he is 7 now, and i'm glad he is who he is but he is so...so...so girly, i swear i'm to blame for this.  He's not into football, he's into dance and when i say dance i mean the whole hands on hips, swinging, prancing, gyrating, walking on tiptoe, towel on his head to make it look like hair, pretending to put on l...

Re: What things did you do while pregnant that helped you bond with your GD baby before birth?

Unfortunately it took nearly losing my GD DS3 to actually bond with him.  I found out I was pregnant with him at my 20wk scan and cried for weeks after.  I was so dreading the birth - actually meeting him that my pregnancy flew by, before i knew it I was 39wks gone and that afternoon realising I hadn't felt no movements all morning.  Went to the maternity ward for a check ...

Re: Gutted...

Does you're so called friends know about the loss of your baby girl? If so that makes their comments even more cruel. What is wrong with ppl?.  You said you were happy with having 2 boys, remain that way, do not ever think you are a failure for producing 2 beautiful boys, because if having 2 boys equates to being a failure then i'm a big time failure lol. The new year is coming up, time to d...

Re: wedding dress hope for boy moms

I have a wonderful relationship with my now ex-MIL.  Even tho me and her son (ex-husband) have been divorced for some years now, we have remained very close.  When he re-married it was me they asked to go mother-of -the-groom shopping with his mum to choose her dress.  We had a right laugh that day, as the shop assistants all assumed I was the bride, so we just went along with it, g...

Re: Should she still be sleeping alot?

Gosh them early days seems like a distant memory to me now. My little girl used to sleep up to 5hrs during the day.  I would do all the housework, the ironing, washing, and cooking, wash my hair paint my nails and then just twiddle my thumbs waiting for her to wake up lol! NOW! I barely have the time to peel an onion before shes screaming the house down.  Long gone are those days where s...

Re: Girl babies and.....

I noticed my little girl had a mucousy discharge a couple of days after she was born, no blood tho but was told to expect this. She also had that white gungy stuff that wouldn't come out easily with just wipes alone, so had to use q-tips. She's so chubby, she looks like shes got boobs, do they sell baby bras? [rofl]

Re: Can I just say that the term "Princess"...

Wow.  Since i found out i was expecting my girl, everyone referred to her as "princess". She is known by no other name but "daddy's little princess" from her dad, even his mates ask him "hows your little princess mate?" I told my fiance that at this rate if he continues calling her that she'll think thats her real name. I have never referred to or called her "princess", but don't really mind ...

Re: Q: for those who want the same gender again....

My daughter will be the only girl among her brothers, and I would love for her to have a sister. But i'm torn, my 3 boys are for my ex, and my daughter is for my now fiance. My fiance wants a son next and I would love to give him a son, yet I want our daughter to have a sister.

Re: Why am I doing this to myself???

Gosh, i so understand how you feel, I've been there. When i was told after a 2nd scan that its a girl, I couldn't believe it. I leapt for joy at first but then came back down to earth with a bump very quickly. I began to think "maybe they got it wrong" I told everybody its a girl, then wished I hadn't. I'd go out and splash out on dresses and little pink outfits, then get home and scold ...

Re: It's a....

Oh dear, forgive me for this, but shouldn't misskylie feel free to continue her journey/story here rather than or aswell as on the u/s section? If I came on here with GD and mentioned that I have a u/s next week, can i not come here to post my update? Can you only put an update of your u/s scan on here if you didn't get your desired gender? Please if i've misunderstood, do put me right, i'm ...

Re: Acid reflux

Yep my daughter has reflux she is just over 3months old. I had no idea what it was at first, just noticed that she was spitting up which seemed to be choking her, very frightening, then she would bring up her feeds through her mouth AND nose. She didn't seem to be in any pain, nor was she losing any weight, but the gp prescribed infant gaviscon for her. She no longer spits up, but she st...

Re: Why are some people on here if they don't have a form of GD?

[quote user="Melpomene"] But there are women on here who did get their desired gender after many boys and they do get it. They lived it for years . THey also know that their long awaited girl may have easily been a boy . So I love hearing their stories. How can you be angry at someone who is raising numerous of one gender and finally get their desired gender? You have to be happy for them in t...

Re: Why are some people on here if they don't have a form of GD?

Wow, after reading all the responses, the sum of it is is that everyone is different and for that reason you just cannot please all the people all the time. Some don't mind others posting who have gotten their desired gender, while others do, some don't mind extravagant siggys while others do, so what do you do? You just can't please everyone. And nor should we feel we have to. Sometimes when...

Re: Tears for me, tears for my son

So not true.  When my oldest was 10, he was out playing with the 2 identicle twin girls, about the same age as my son that lived on our street.  One day they sat outside our window talking while I was cleaning the windows inside.  They were sat talking about school, my son was asking how does her teachers tell the difference between her and her twin when with my own...

Re: Will you

I discovered this site oh so late. I never knew what i had been feeling with my ds3 even had a name! Yes even though I have got my desired gender, i've realised that GD doesn't stop when you've finally got that ds or dd that you've so longed for. There are so many other factors that will/could influence your feelings from one day to the next.  To my utter surprise my friend has decided ...

Re: I don't know what I want

Duchess, If I'm honest, i think thats the real problem, i'm worried about what other ppl will say. Everyone so far has put a lid on me wanting or having anymore kids. "you've got your girl, no more kids for you" or they say "haven't you heard of the credit crunch?" And this is awful, but I even felt a slight twinge of embarassment when I was pg ppl would say "oh, is this your 1...
