I used to want to try this too.
Considering I tried everything I can't remember why I never did the food coloring... I think someone told me an ingredient in there would make it not work, but considering a little goes a long way you could try it, just use a tooth pick or the eye of a needle to capture a teeny amount of food coloring and swirl in it into the ew.

Thanks so much everyone. It is all over, and wasn't too bad, just heavy and lots of cramps...I'm just sort of sad.
I am going to try again this next cycle, I had blood test and all my levels are back to normal, so I'm optimistic!

Well, yesterday I started spotting and today it is very heavy. This morning my temps dropped. I've never miscarried before. I'm guess I'm just relieved I wasn't farther along. Thanks for all the advice. [:(]

I've been tracking my cycle forever to do O+12, so I felt very confident I ovulated on Good Friday, but I know nothing is 100%, it could have been Sat or even Easter Sunday, but my cm started changing late Fri into Sat.
Well, no AF yet. And my temps have stayed higher. But, I think the very light tests are strange for how far past my expected period date I am.

I'm a dork for replying to my own post...
my cervix is much higher and a tad softer this morning, a good sign that I've had in previous pregnancies. maybe I implanted very late. my hpts are just sooooo light and I'm so far past ov.
I guess its not over until the dreaded obvious shows.

Thanks for responding, my temps have stayed at 98.3, no dips yet.
I know I should stop testing for a few days and try again.
I just feel like the lines should be darker, not lighter! I've never had this happen. [:S]

Has any one had this happen? I am about 20-21 days past ov. AF is 1 week late. On Friday, I took 2 Target brand epts, both very faint + (one mid day, one fmu on Sat. morn.) the next day (yesterday) took a first response in the afternoon, very faint +, and this morning took another first response with fmu still very very faint +.
I'm so far past ov. shouldn't the lines ...

I think allowing the semen to liquify for about 10 minutes helped the mixing in our case. Just swirling it for about 2 minutes or so seemed to do the trick.

Hi, when I did this I collected the sample from dh in a little glass or stainless steel cup (I've used both), I held the cup (in my bra...to keep it warm) for about 10 minutes to allow the semen to liquify, then I added the sugar water solution to the liquidy semen in the collection cup and just swirled it around, it seemed to mix together just fine.

oh wow thanks! if i did this i was going to try to 1st see if ew foated on plain preseed before I wasted a sample on it, then if the ew floats try mixing preseed and water to see what ratio will support ew, then i was going to try that ratio of preseed with a sample... exhausting...

i think trying to increase the sperm density may be easier. in the other thread i shared that ew will float on sugar water, and I speculated that the times (2) that I got the ew to float my dh semen was perhaps higher in sugar. or maybe using sperm friendly preseed mixed with semen. I wish someone would try to float ew on preseed today, i have a birthday party for my youngest t...

I have friend who got preg on bc. 1st time was a girl, 2nd was a boy. I have 3 boys the last 2 were shettles for a girl! I've been trying su with tbm for the past 4 months. I feel it has good odds for an at home method.

some women, maybe not many, reported that when they used a cup, left it in, then checked their ph the ph of the "stuff" in the cup would go up over time. Probably due to their own cervical fluid mixing with the cup contents. in some women, their cm ph started to climb when exposed to acidity for a prolong period in the cup. Certainly the cup itself wouldn't effect ph.

You ask that as if I were not cutting the 5 free hpts I got with my opks in 1/2 with sissors to double the amount so I can test every day from 3dpo! I am obessessed, even though I know in my heart I'm not preg. I'm 7dpo today. Still a bit to soon to test (tell that to the last 4 tests I've wasted/analyzed...)
