I would love to see this topic discussed on a talk show. There will be a lot of people who don't understand though and think mother's are ungrateful for not accepting the baby right away because of GD which can cause a lot of controversy. It is necessary to be open about it because it can really ruin someone's life since it's a kind of depression. Maybe woman can find out good wa...

I hope you never get it again either! I'm happy that you have come so far. You now have empethy for others though since you've walked down the GD path. Enjoy your boys from here on out. It's not too late to start taking pics and keeping memories. In my experience I have not been good about taking pics of my daughter and keeping notes and journals of her milestones bec...

Wow, I can totally understand how you must feel torn. I remember sitting at a restaurant talking to my friend about the exact same thing. She has 2 boys and really wants that girl. She was scared of the same thing, "messing with nature". I have to agree with her on that. I feel like trusting over trying to control the gender, you will be blessed in so many more w...

Hi all,
Alaina Marie was born May 8th, 2009 at 4:35 AM weighing 8 lb. 3 oz. 21 in. long. She is the sweetest little thing and has melted all our hearts. That is my friend is in the pic holding Alaina, not me. You can't really see me in the pics. I got to bring her home from the hospital on Mother's Day-what a special Mother's Day for me and my hubby! ...

Hi Country Belle,
I was just curious...why are you having a c-section? I wonder because I need to decide if I should schedule one or try to deliver vaginally. I really want to deliver vaginally but I had a previous C-section with my son since his head was sideways and not face down. I'm hoping this baby will cooperate and come out o.k. I know some people prefer c-sec...

mbibik-I would totally get induced before a c-section, but they said that is not an option since I had a c-section. They said the medication they use to induce is not good when you have a previous scar from a c-section. It could soften the scar tissue and cause the uterus to rupture. Yikes!

O.k. thank you so much for that advice. I really, REALLY don't want a c-section and fantasize about going into labor and the story I can share one day with my daughter and seeing that baby come out and getting to hold her immediately. I want to try so I will wait. My gut was saying wait as well. I think C-sections are so common now and people are so quick to get them, or Dr...

I had my 38 week check up yesterday. They did an ultra sound to approximate how big baby girl is. Well, they said she is in "big baby territory" probably around 9 pounds. I have 2 weeks to go (due date not until May 15th). I'm barely dialated 1 cm. They wanted to know if I wanted to schedule a c-section for next week or wait to go into labor on my own to try and get Baby out vagi...

First of all I can totally understand how irritating that would be to have a friend like that. Always rubbing things in your face. Just remember this though, she may appear happy on the outside but you never know what she is really like on the inside. People who are always trying to prove their happiness and talk about their luxuries must have some major insecurities lurking; the...

Thank you for all the reassurance ladies! I feel much better knowing and hearing this from all of you. I will have an ultra sound on Thursday and they're going to advise me based on babe's weight and size if I should have a c-section. I had to have one with my son. He wouldn't come out because he was turned sideways. It was a long labor and lots of pushing just to hav...

Hi Ladies,
I had my 37 week check up yesterday and the heart rate of this baby girl was only 124. I was so shocked at how low it was considering my son's neven went below 140 and this whole pregnancy it was always in the 140 range too.
The Dr. said that it's o.k. and not to worry, but I was curious, has anyone else had such a low rate during their pregnancy?
I can't help but worry that sh...

The same thing happened to me. At my NT scan I saw something between the legs that looked like a pecker. I was in disbelief and said to the tech. "Oh, my, that looks like a boy." This was before I learned that all male and female fetuses have external organs so early on. My tech. agreed wtih me and said she "bets" it's a boy based off of what we were looking at. Well, at my...

Good luck tomorrow and if you hear boy, just know you are in for a wonderful, WONDERFUL new experience. I don't have a girl yet, but she is on the way, but I couldn't imagine life without my son. He melts my heart. The things that he does are just so cute. He is so active and tries so hard. He is determined and curious and has a zest for life. I think abou...
