Not that I'm not reccomending pastuerized eggs, but I never did it to mine. I always washed them with soap and water and let them age for a couple of weeks in the fridge. Organic free range eggs should naturally lower occurence of salmonella bc the chickens aren't stuffed all together in cages. Meat that is raised naturally doesn't typically carry disease. The way humans raise the animals and proc...

Bleushell: So sorry about the E. Coli, my dad had that once and said it was terrible! I thought antibiotics swayed blue, bc they increase pH. This last sway went fine as far as the diet went, my pH never gets that high so I do BSF several days prior to the attempt and then again about 1hr before insertion. The problem this last time was the EW sank, which has hardly ever happened. Then my pH meter...

Bleushell: as I am jokingly putting it, DH and I are in gender denial. Not that we don't love, love, love our girls, we just sooooo wanted a brother for DS. My US with my doc is on 8/1, so we should know w/o a doubt then. The 16 week sono was super duper girly looking, and I know if I posted it, I would get 100% girl votes, but there is always the slight chance...So for now, we say girl to anyone ...

Ok ladies, I know I haven't posted in a while. Preggo with 3 little kids is a lot to handle also this summer I've been taking 3 college courses for nursing school. I know I'm crazy. Anyway, we got a sono at like 16w, 5d, and it really looked girl. I really don't care, but I want so bad for DS to have a brother. My girls are so close, they are bffs and play together so well, even though they have s...

Well ladies,
I just figured out, by looking back, that I never formally told this group I was preggo!!! I got a BFP on 3/29, I think... Anyway my 1st sono is 4/29 so we are fervently praying to see a heart beat. BTW, about not many swimmers swimming: this attempt that landed a baby had very few swimmers moving at the point of insertion. I actually told DH that it would be an act of God if I even ...

Hello ladies,
Just dropping by to report my BFP on 4/12!!! My attempt was horrible, but being stubborn I sorted until I found a small amount of boy swimmers. I didn't figure I would even get preg bc many sperm weren't even moving after the incubation period. BTW, DH had been eating a lot of fruit but not drinking juice and the EW sank, so eating fruit apparently isn't the key, or maybe it is for ...

Ladies, the monkies ate my long post about my horrible attempt. So now its late and I'm super tired, mostly bc I'm PREGGO! I got a BFP on 4/12 and my 1st sono is on 4/29. I had progesterone checked and it was good, so as of now, all is well. We are steadily praying for a healthy and strong baby. And hopefully it's a boy ;)

AF hasn't shown yet, but 2 BFN lead me to believe I will be at it again in April. The moon however is not on my side! I will O around 4/25 and since last time the EW sank, I will be pushing the fruit juice with DH as it worked in the past. I also need to calibrate my pH meter. Any thouhts on that??? I know I can probably find out online, I just haven't tried yet. Blessings to all TTC in April [hea...

PuppyDog: Lol, that's funny about your DH comment. My DH always loathes the lab environment during the BD prior to attempting.
Thanks ladies for all your concern about the mc, though it really wasn't that bad physically. I did cry good the day it started, but I truly believe God gave me peace in the situation and reassured me that He is in control & His will is supreme. AF came a month later...

Hello!
I ovulated today, which I thought would happen on Monday, but oh well. I will be attempting MSU tonight once DH is home from work! So as of later tonight I will officially begin the 2WW. I don't have a chart, I temp, tho not consistently, and I monitor cervical position. This morning my cervix was high and soft and later in the morning I felt O cramp on the right side. I haven't been on th...

Hello ladies,
I ended up miscarrying on 2/11. So I'm now waiting to have a normal cycle in order to TTC in March. The strange thing is that I kinda feel PG right now, could be PMS, I bought a HPT at Wal Mart this week so I'll test 2/5. Anyway, baby dust to all TTC this month! I will be back on the wagon as soon as AF shows.

Hello ladies,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while its been crazy around here. Sadly, I ended up miscarrying on 2/11/11, so no September baby for us. We are doing fine, and funny enough I kinda feel PG right now, it could just be PMS since I haven't had a normal cycle yet. I think I'll test on 3/5 or 3/6. I couldn't find any Dollar Tree tests on Sunday when I went so I broke down and spent $4 at Wal...

Aqua: It took me 4 mo. TTC with DS and I was 27. I really think MSU is more favorable bc you don't have to worry about sitting/standing... Also you don't have to take the IC out after 90min. I left the cup in all nite with DS and for 5-6hrs with this round. IDK how long it takes for the sperm to swim up through the cervix, but 90 min might be cutting it short. I don't think reducing the sample, as...

Not that I'm dissing FF or anything, but it is software designed to PREDICT O day. IMHO, I would say the day your cervix was high and open was within 12 hrs of O. A + OPK means you will O in the next 48hrs. Did you have O cramping/pain? On CD19 there was no LH detectable meaning your surge was over, so you could still be in O window, but your cervix did not agree. Did you MSU/TBM/BD?

Aqua: The only downside I see is the lack of cut off time with the 2nd attempt. Also if you do get xx swimmers on MSU, they may be there waiting for the egg before TBM is accomplished. These are just my thoughts, it would be great for Tamara to chime in on this one. Maybe post this in the general forum as Tamara does check that. HTH [HV]

Light: Yes there are layers of semen and EW in the TT, but when you put a small drop/smear on a slide and cover it with a cover slip, the microscope actually looks at layers of the smear on the slide. When you focus the microscope use the corse adjustment knob first on the lowest magnification setting. Once you find the sperm, you can use the fine adjustment knob to clarify the image. Then turn th...

I didn't add EW in IC bc there is EW with the sperm from TT. I did an EW wash before IC insertion with about 5mL maybe? It runs out but at least it gets a good high pH wash up there. HTH & GL

I just lightly coated my finger in BS, you can always do more so you don't get BS in an unfortunate place.

Light: I did EGS/MSU for DH last year and he was born 2/10. I first bought a cheap microscope from toys r us and could barely see anything. I researched and bought a nice microscope for about $200. I dabbed some from the syringe once I drew the sperm out of the TT. You only need a VERY small amount to see under the microscope. Too much of a sample will be to thick for the microscope to separate. W...

Sasha I would encourage you to look harder at EGS MSU at home. It may seem daunting, but once you practice, it's not that complicated. This is just my opinion, plus we couldn't afford that even if we lived in NYC, plus take into consideration what Tamara said about the albumin pH as it could very well change the sort dramatically. You will not be able to check the sort either, but at home you get ...

Great job on the pH rise! The first time I did BSF, I think I touched my cervix bc it BURNED bad for a while. The other times I've done it, I had a little discomfort, just a not normal feeling, but not painful. Maybe you got too much BS on your finger? You could also try squatting or sitting on the toilette to insert BSF. Just some suggestions. HTH & GL [GLC]

I was 21 DPO IF I O'd on 12/13. DH brought up last nite that I could have O'd later and we BD and got PG, scary, but I remember feeling different pretty quickly after 12/13, plus I know we got DSD that Friday 12/17 and I don't remember a lot of BD going on, but my memory is not reliable [:P]
Also the line on the Dollar Tree test was quite faint, but definitely pink and visible. The line did fade...

With DS I went to bed bc it was late, but this time it was like 1pm and I had to go get my girls from mother's day out [;)] I thought I felt pain in right ovary area and wondered if it was O or fertilization, but now I don't even know if I O'd that day. I did have high cervical position later that week, but there was no pain with it.
