Hi Jaybz my ER is set for 20th May so only a couple days after you! Just heard from Lori and she said she's sending out everything I need now. Looks like we start the BCP next month.

Hehe that's ok! I thought you were just calling me chooks as a nice nickname :) I'm brissie so I'm probably no help. We were going solo but now only with one of my sons and going with Dr Potter. I'm sure they are all good at HRC and have similar philosophies, etc.

Sorry can't help there jaybz as I'm not in Sydney but just wanted to wish you luck. I am going to HRC in May so hopefully I see you there! Do you know if you are going solo or with your kids?

You're right, you're probably looking at 3k for Aust IVF (but that does include drugs) and the $4k for GSN PGD in the US and probably more to do the actual transfer itself. Even if it were the same would be good not to have to leave our families for so long. Do Australian clinics even have the facilities to package up embryos and send over? I have unexplained infertility which basically means tryi...

Oh wow that's a great idea! Any idea what the cost would be to send it over to HRC? Also what would the cost be for HRC to do PGD and the transfer alone?
HI perfi,
I hope all is well with you in Brisbane?? I can't believe all the devastation. Just responding to the clomid repeats and wondering that I may need your help there....I'm still waiting for my consult with Dr P very soon.
Thanks Chickamoo all is ok for us and we were one of the lucky ones to not loose our power! Good luck with y...

Hi ladies, I checked with my Brisbane fertility specialist for you and he said he'd prefer to not do anyone elses tests or monitoring. Sorry I can't be of more help. I'd try what MatildaMai did. On another note, i have a few repeats left on my clomid script still and I've already done the CCT so don't need it anymore.

That's bad that Brisbane City Fertility said they wouldn't do monitoring as it's the name that HRC gave me. I would try to find a GP to help then. They can do the precycle testing and give you referrals for the sono scan as well as referrals for the cycle scans when you actually get into the cycle itself. You just may not be able to get a script for clomid from them if Dr P wants you to do a...

Hi I'm from Brissie too. When I was talking to HRC they mentioned that Brisbane City Fertility would do the pretests and monitoring so maybe give them a call? I'm off to HRC in May so happy to help with any Brisbane stuff :)

Same here, $20 intl wire fee with suncorp, I think it was 98c to the dollar when I did it. It's impossible to ever get the advertised exchange rate!!!
My3sons why so expensive for your flight? Is it cause it's holiday season?

That is so great you must be so excited now! I just told my fertility specialist today and he said he'd be happy to do all the precycle testing and monitoring and everything, I was so glad. I was nervous about nothing he was so supportive! I think it's harder trying to find someone in your home town to do all the precycle work and monitoring then it is find the clinic overseas.

Thanks so much, wow 4 weeks will be a great holiday! We are going to try to do the minimum and keep the boys at home, hubby will stay the minimum time there too to get back to them. I'll run everything past my current fertility specialist, and if I get no luck there will talk to my GP or the fertility clinic HRC recommended to me for all the monitoring. The standard blood clinics here like QML and...

Well I've taken advantage of the special IG offer HRC has and we will be going over in April to try for our little girl. We thought we'd do the single price package to give us a chance to reassess after if we want to keep going or swap clinics etc. May be more expensive but atleast it keeps our options open, and it's what hubby wanted so as long as he's in agreeance I don't care which packag...

I asked Nancy about the delivery cost and I think it is the delivery cost to do the PGD testing.

Hey girls, I should have written this earlier but I stayed with an Aussie girl (she's a mum with 3 kids) while I was over there last year for some other surgery and I know she has IVF/PGD people use her services too. Seriously she was amazing and I'll be staying with her in one of her apartments next year when I go with Superior Art rather than a hotel. She picked me up from the airport, took me t...

I'm so glad you did this, it is a great article :) I can't believe some of the comments there. Makes me embarassed to be an Australian. So narrow minded and uneducated after reading some of the comments. I've added my vote and comment.

Oh damn. I really though SIVF would help but I guess the connection with SART is a problem.

Hey I'm in the same boat here, Sydney IVF seem really good with that type of stuff. When were you looking at going? Really wanting to go next year to either HRC or Dr Lin. I'm in Brisbane though. Used QFG this year to conceive my twin boys and was looking at April or so next year. I'm hoping QFG will do it in Brisbane, anyone have Bris experience?
