I have 2, soon to be 3 girls, and there is no pink stuff, pretty dresses etc in my house. It's full of trucks, balls, wellies and animal stuff. Red and blue are the colours of favour here.
People have funny perceptions about what boys and girls *should* be, or *should* have. Perhaps if you feel your home needs some pink, buy yourself some pink stuff?

Ah BB of course I remember you, you're my parallel life in Texas! I've been wanting to get in touch but you can't PM on here (grrr!). Congratulations on your baby girl too, I've been feeling much the same as you. I've been out and bought loads of pretty girly stuff though (something I never did with my other 2 as we didn't know what we were having) which has helped a lot. We haven't told anyone we...

Thank you for your replies, I've really enjoyed reading everyones perspective. I understand the inner peace and jigsaw comments, that is a great way to sum up how I feel too, I kind of feel that us getting a little man will be a part of the puzzle. I hope one day we are blessed with one.

Yeah I totally get what you mean, I'm the same with my girls, they're awesome and both so different!

No we have no expectations of our children, and they're all very much wanted and loved. We just want the chance to be mummy and daddy to a little boy.

Does it truly make a difference? Was there an earth changing moment at all?
DH and I were talking last night, we may well go for a fourth baby and would obviously like our DG, but would be ok if we didn't get him (I hope!). High tech isn't right for us, so we're cool with the possibility we'll have 4 of the same, but we were wondering, does it make a huge difference when you actually get your DG...

Huh! It totally ate my post! Thank you all, it's odd because I was so happy when the tech said 80% girl, I love having sisters. Just this huge sadness that I'll never have a son overcame me. I think I'm scared of the reactions of others too, particularly family :-(

Thank you <3
It's strange, I grinned like a loon when he said 80% girl, because i am genuinely happy, I'm just sad I won't have a son in my life. I think I'm scared of the reactions of others too, especially family.

Not sure if anyone will remember me, but I just thought I'd update those who do.
I've stayed away a while as I was becoming obsessed with the gender of this baby and I didn't want to spoil this pregnancy.
Anyway, we had a private scan this morning and it looks like my sway failed and we're having another girl. I am so relieved our baby is healthy, but at the same time very sad I'll never be...

Ok Ladies....
My biorhythms were right for only one of my three daughters according to cycletourist.com. They think this baby was conceived in a strong boy zone.
My chinese moon signs are right for 2 and wrong for 1 ........They think this baby is in boy zone.
Moon gender prediction - 2 were right and 1 was wrong. This baby is in girl sign.
So, in conclusio...

This is the only one I see a nub on and it looks angled up but I woudn't rule out all hope of a girl as it's not a great shot. In general, though, girl nubs tend to extend past the end of the body.

Why do you feel your little girl is going to hate you?
Apologies, but what's the correlation between the gap and gender?

Sorry you haven't heard your DG.
I think you need to be kind to yourself, work through your feelings, don't bottle them up or bury them away.
Try to bond with your baby girl, have you named her? How about going out and choosing a special outfit or toy for her, or getting something personalised for her.
Your feelings may melt away when she arrives, but if not, then consider talking to a counsell...

I don't think there is a nub on the shot, it's not a great shot at all.
Plus I'm worried about getting my hopes up, or feeling down if the guesses are wrong!
8 weeks until my next U/S!

Scan went well, was very rushed though and we hardly saw anything [:(]
And despite saying I won't, I'm now nubsessing over the rubbish picture they gave us!

BB I'm so sorry your DD is poorly, hope she is on the mend soon. Take it easy xxx
Our scan went ok, baby is well, but we were totally rushed through. Feels like we hardly got to see anything. Then she gave us a really crap scan picture too. Grrr. I'm now nubsessing too, even though I said I wouldn't!
