Re: Antibiotics and Boys

Yes I have heard antibiotics favours boys also, from the ladies at a-gender.  I wonder what is the safe time frame before your attempt to have them if you are trying for a girl? Thanks for the extra information.[;)]Brianna

Re: PNEUMONIA/ANTIBIOTICS AND A-GENDER

Oh you poor thing how awful for you.  I have read antibiotics are no good for ttc a DD.You need to rest up regardless of anything ttc when you are so sick isn't a wise move anyway.Have a good cry, your turn will come before you know it.Brianna

Re: Ph and Yeast infection

Hi pinkshoes yes I think it thrives in an alklaine environment, have you tested your pH and are you sure it is thrush and not another type of infection? I would hit extra acidopholus.Brianna

Re: I have been researching again..

This is all so fascinating.  We do use an electric blanket and conceived our boys in winter and funny enough a-gender asked me if I used an electric blanket when I conceived my boys only a few weeks ago and told me not to use one when ttc a girl but to spend more time outdoors. The freaky thing is my husband loves the electric blanket and I was worried he wouldn't stop using it, guess what sto...

Re: Choosethesexofyourbaby.com - Does it work?

Martine Lafluer is a scam.  I would go onto this site under natural gender selection and ask your questions, this site is very helpful and there is also a pinned section at the top for tips on ttc a girl. Brianna

Re: ttc girl and terrified

No extra words of wisdom to offer, but I just wanted to wish you luck, trying to conceive a girl seems to take longer, so be patient and think positive thoughts. Good LuckBrianna

Re: jumping up after sex?

I think it is all about environment, but I believe the 2nd wave of ejaculated semen is less alkaline, so by jumping and dumping you are getting rid of most of that.  It would depend on the man and his pH though I would suspect.Brianna

Re: Do negative thoughts and feelings hurt baby?

I agree with the other posts, I to felt this way when I was told at the ultrasound I was having another boy, I sank into a deep depression and was totally disconnected for several weeks.  I know I had such terrible thoughts during this time, which I am now ashamed of.  As time went by I became more interested in my baby and towards the end was really looking forward to meeting him. ...

Re: Question for Aussie girls on vitex?

I don't think it is necessarily that the short cycle favours girls, it is the ratio of estrogen to progestorone in your cycle.  So if you have a long first part of your cycle it may mean more estrogen. I have researched this myself and also talked to the ladies at a-gender.  essentially you are right it may increase progestorone, especially if your LP is only 11-12 days, what is it when ...

Re: Question for Aussie girls on vitex?

I agree, if your cycle was nice and short I would be giving the vitex a big miss.  Did the same for me and it just didn't feel right - like I was messing with something that was already good KWIM! Brianna

Re: Martine Lafleur method

I wouldn't trust her just search it out on this forum or any other and you won't hear any positive stories - or go to kits and calendars on here - there is a thread on her.Good luck, this is a great site you will find lots of useful information.Brianna

Re: girl diet

I agree, you have to have some form of balance otherwize not healthy.  I am eating yoghurt and drinking milk, I have a little bread, mainly chicken, allowed veges a little potato - very restricted pasta and rice due to carbs, no added salt - no tinned foods, a little cheese not lots.  I guess 70% good and a big change to my normal eating habits but I do break out occassionally and have a...

Re: Boy supplements - 3 month kick in

Are you talking about for you or your husband? I think 6 weeks minimum for you and probably 12 weeks for you husband considering sperm has a three month life span. Brianna

Re: Anyone use Dr Jonas method? successful or failed

Hi I didn't actually try Dr Jonas method but with DS1 I just happened to conceive him on my highest girl date.  After I conceived I looked into this.  So with my limited knowledge I really believed I was having a girl - alas I had a beautiful little boy.Brianna

Re: My Sucessful TBM Attempt!

That is great and encouraging news - Congratulations[:-)] you must be so excited! Can you tell me if you only had the two attempts for a reason or is that just how it worked out at the time?  Also were your sons conceived with lots of bd'ing or just a couple of times?  Sorry for the questions but I am just trying to decide if TBM will be an option for us. Brianna

Re: I just want to terminate this pg.

threelines I felt very sad reading your post.  You are obvioulsy in a very lonley place right now.  I know most of us on here have struggled with GD of some form, so a little part of us all can probably understand where you are coming from.  However maybe you are focussing too much on your baby's gender, maybe you need to find other interests or passions, so that you are not investi...

Re: girl diet--protein powder?

I am no expert, but pineapple juice is a no-no on the girl diet. Also you are not supposed have heaps of protein either. strawberries are ok and milk too maybe mix with some type of cereal for thickening.Brianna

Re: New website

I remember reading ages ago when everyone wanted a prediction from flagurl, lots even emailed her and she just never replied and all these women were waiting.  No -one paid her of course and she is entitled not to do it if she chooses of course.  I also read on BC that someone said she said she wouldn't charge and people who did were a scam.  Well now she is back and to make money o...

Re: adding to my confusion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree - it is all so confusing, but I really do believe in some tings more than others, especially pH, I have seen heaps of evidence all over these boards how important it is.  Diet I really don't know but as it afefcts pH maybe it works more effectively on some than others.  Timing I am not convinced about but the fact that the reasoning behind it may again be pH - creamy for girls an...

Re: Attempting a spreadsheet....

Hi Shel Great idea, what about if they put (both ttc girl and ttc boy) ovulation date and time zone so those who know about moon signs can see if they conceived in a boy or girl sign? Also what about if anyone is on other vitamins/medications seperate to swaying supplements?BriannaAlso pH of both partners - you may already have this?
