This happened to me and my FET worked.  It can work for you too.  Big hugs to you.  Hang in there.

Re: How long...

You get AF, get AF again, do testing, AF, cycle. So if you have to do BCP the month before, you are looking at around 3 months or so, maybe 4.

Re: Can we discuss 24 probe or 2 probe PGD?
Thanks for posting this Lillylolly!  I am having trouble with this same decision.  It seems that the 24 probe GSN sounds better, but the 2 probe is more "tried and true".  So has anyone used the 24 probe GSN at HRC?  I'd just hate to be the first, or to use a technology that is less likely to be successful b/c it is new.  But, I like the idea of...

Re: How long after failed cycle should I expect AF?

I got mine 3-4 days after stopping PIO.  I think there is something they can give you if it doesn't show up soon though.

Re: so here i am 12wk5 scan swayed girl, am rubbish at nubs and don't think i see one but feel its boy num 4, would you all look pls xx

There is no nub...that whole side is cutoff.  I have no idea what anyone is "seeing" that says there is a nub[:P].  I hope you see pink next though!

Re: Can we discuss 24 probe or 2 probe PGD?
The two are done with completely different technologies.  The 2 probe is still FISH, with a 10% rate of false-positives, whereas the 24 probe through GSN is different and newer technology (not FISH) and the rate of false-positives is 1%.  So if the option was to do 24-probe using FISH I'd say no way (too great a chance of a no-transfer due to all abnorma...

Re: How old were you when you went HT?

34 for both fresh BFN and FET BFP.  33 with cancelled cycle

Re: Can we discuss 24 probe or 2 probe PGD?

Personally, I would do the 2-probe and take the 'age-related' risk associated with the rest of the chromosomes.  If there is something wrong, most likely it will be a BFN.  I just am not so sure about whether an embryo can correct itself after day 3,when the biopsy is done.  I also did not want a no transfer. I would rather transfer not knowing that something might be wrong and it m...

Re: To PGD or Not to PGD that is the question..

PGD does not help you get pregnant.  You do PGD for the guarantee.  Only you can decide if you are OK with an opposite.  If you can live with that, then you will likely have more embryos to choose from with just MS. It looks like the gals that do the 2-probe have several more to choose from too.  So, whether PGD is beneficial or not is really not the question.  The studi...

Re: H1N1 Question
I *think* the prefilled syringes are T- free but it is in the multi dose vial. I was able to get a prefilled syringe. My 1 yr old got it from the multi dose vial. Because the amount is so small, I felt ok giving it to him, and I would have gotten it as well if that was all my OB had. GL deciding.
Yes, you are correct.  So, all the nasal sprays are T-fre...
I couldnt find the thirmesol free one and took what they had... the amount of mercury is so little.... You are only 38 weeks and the dialated thing means crap.  With my first, I was shut tight and then by the next week my water broke.  Doesn't mean a thing.

Re: Oh no...
I do not know any insurance company - regardless of clinic - that would accept gender selection services (PGD/MS, etc.) Technically, it is an "elective procedure." Now, if there are fertility issues, IVF/IUI should be covered.
Well, the way it works is that if the facility, clinc, etc submits your bill with a diagnosis code they accept (628.9 is unexplained infe...

Re: Oh no...

I was told No Way for gender selection patients when I called and spoke with them a year ago.  They won't but HRC will.

H1N1 Question

I know this is not the proper forum but I only post here so here goes.  Of those that got it, did you get the thimerosal free one? I have the chance to get the shot tomorrow but it DOES contain thimerosal- the actual amount of mercury is less than what is in a tuna can- should I get it?  What would you guys do?  What have doctors told you?

Re: SART reports? Much Lower rates at GIVF

Just to be clear I chose my clinic and felt good about staying local due to their great SART rates. And I knew they don't do much gender selection so the rates were based mostly on infertile couples. I bet a lot of gender patients are mid 30s and up though so just because we have had babies before doesn't mean it will be easy with IVF. They wouldn't necessarily inflate the stats. My clinc saw more...

Re: 2nd Beta, bleeding, good times

That's great!  Congrats. My place does 3 betas and then schedules your u/s.  She said it would be at 6 weeks but that is the Friday after Thanksgiving so I think it will be the following Monday if all looks good still.

Re: SART reports? Much Lower rates at GIVF

You have to take into consideration that some clinics screen patients and have different criteria for if they "let" you cycle.  My day 10 FSH was 14- that is a cutoff for a lot of clinics.  Some would not have worked with me.  Others will let you cycle no matter what.  I think the numbers do matter but it doesn't give you the whole picture of how good they are.  Also, wi...

Re: I made a PROMISE...

It took a lot of courage to gear up for HT again and go back for your little embies.  I am sorry that it did not work but I hope you are at peace knowing you did all you could to give them a chance- no man left behind!  You did all you could and that's all you can do sometimes.  Take care.

Re: another ? - thanks!

You will need to go off it for one month before the pretesting month. So, finish a pack, AF and then off, AF and then test month.  Then, you can go back on until you cycle if you want.
