Re: if you could do it all over again, would you...

Very good and thought provoking questions. In my case, though, I would have been disappointed no matter what I did. I never did get the little boy that I had always hoped for.[:(]

Re: Taller women get more girls?

I reallly don't think height has anything to do with it-my sister-in-law is almost 6' 0" and has 2 boys, plus a girl. Gisele Bunchen just had a boy, and I think she's 5'11".

Re: the children we dream of

He would have beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous hair just like dh's. Not to mention a cute grin. And as he grew older, he would be very muscular, very intelligent and artistic, just like dh.

Re: Can U/S ever be wrong?

They sure can be wrong-a lady I worked with was told she was having a girl, but ended up having a boy.I'm not sure how far along she was when she was told.

Re: Quick Poll: How often do you floss?

I floss every night, right before I go to bed. My dentist is great, so I don't want her to give me any lectures. Besides, it helps get all of that yucky stuff out from between my teeth.

Re: Do you ever wonder...

It would be SOOO nice not to have these little pangs of jealously every time I see women with 2 or 3 cute little boys. Of course, everybody has hopes and desires of their own, but then you have outside influences, especially the in-laws and co-workers who keep asking when you're gonna have a boy, or worse yet, why didn't you have one!!![:(]

Re: Your dream VS reality **********GD WARNING**********

My dream family was either[XY][XY]or [XY][XY][XY]. However, as my luck goes, I ended up with [XX][XX]

Re: I feel really :( today

I have 2 girls myself, and I know what you're going through. The second time I was so sure I was gonna have the little boy I wanted so badly, then when I had another girl, I was devastated. I couldn't have any more kids-for a lot of reasons. I went into a severe depression after that. It still bothers me to this day, although I wish it didn't. I wish there was something I could say to make i...

Re: How aware is your spouse about your GD?

That's me-except that I had all girls. And I wanted a little boy so bad. He knows, but he doesn't feel the pain and disappointment like I do.[:(]

Re: If you could guarantee your desired gender this way, would you? Poll

No-as much as I wanted a boy, I would never, ever consider it!

Re: "Accidents happen!"

Glad to hear there was a happy ending, but I would have been really tempted to say something to that girl in the store. How dare she say something like that![:@]

Re: Moms of lots of girls....

Some of the ones I got were-"Didn't you want a boy?"- "Why didn't you HAVE a boy?""How can you stand having 2 girls?" As if not getting to have a boy (or 2) wasn't bad enough, I had to endure that crap![:(]

Re: Comment from "friend" - I kid you not!

How rude can one person be! Like one of the other posters said, he's probably jealous. Personally, I would love to be in your shoes!

Re: Baby boys names Poll ... please help

I'm torn between Jude and Blake-both cool names. Either one - it would just depend on how it would go with your last name.

Re: How do you move on?

In my case, it's always going to be there, probably until the day I die. For the most part, I'm o.k. with it, but every now and then, something will trigger my GD and I just come unglued. Even though it's been years, I still haven't completely moved on.I wish you the best of luck and hope that you can deal with better than I ever could.

Re: Badly wants a boy. Already have two Girls.

Good luck to you! I hope you have better luck than I ever did. I wanted a boy(s) so bad, but as my luck always goes, I had 2 girls.

Re: Designer Babies

Gender I can see, but how do you pick the hair color, eyes, etc? There's just too many variables at play here. And just how do you qualify or not qualify?

Re: Do you ever feel like, "Of course you got what you wanted?"

Oh, yeah, I know exactly what you mean - and how you feel. When DD1 was born, I was a little disappointed, but I thought that eventually I would get to have a little boy. Well, when DD2 came along, even after everybody was sure it was gonna be a boy, I was devastated. Not only that it was another girl, but it was my last try. Everybody else I knew was having boys, and I just wanted to dig a ...

Re: Bracing for possible disappointment

I hope you have better luck than I did at having a boy!! I'll keep my fingers crossed!![DS]

Re: if it were reversed would you still have GD?

No -I didn't want to have any girls, which is, of course, what I ended up with, so, no, if I had 2 boys I would have been one happy woman.

Re: An example of 50/50

My paternal grandparents had 10 kids-5 boys and 5 girls! Perfect 50/50! Unfortunately for me, I couldn't afford to have any more so I never got to have the little boy(s) of my dreams.[:(]
