So, I got a PM from someone on DS and when I tried to go to the site, it takes me to some WordPress blog. I've tried googling the site and a few other methods and I can't get to it. Is the site down for maintenance or what? I haven't been on this week so I might have missed it. Thx!

I got 3 of these yesterday. You don't even have to print the coupon - just say 'Cami4Me' to the cashier. Make sure you ask which camis are on sale because it's just the cotton ones w/fixed straps. Anything w/the built-in-bra or adjustable straps is excluded.

I would wash them separately just in case. Yes, you could just use an insert as a guidline. You don't even have to finish the edges since fleece doesn't fray.

If you really want to keep CDing and need a zinc-based cream, get some cheap, thin fleece and use it to line your diapers. The fleece will get funky, but just save it for the next rash and throw it away when she PTs.

I bought most of my hemp used and I think smell issues are comparable to cotton. Maybe a little bit stronger, but nothing like MF. I thought my hemp was stinky a couple of months ago and I rocked a soak and it's been fine since then. In the past, I've stripped with Calgon, but that is very easy/low-maintenance and I haven't had to do it often. HTH!

It's a great idea! If you have milk to give, give it! You could try to nurse her, which would be the most productive/efficient method, but she may not nurse after this long. No, 1 prefold is probably about the same bulk as 2 MF. I use 2 hemp for nighttime though and that works really well for us. I use JoeyBunz hemp inserts and they hold a lot.Oh, and I use UBCPFs.

Care to share your recipes? I make my own wipe solution too, but always up for trying new things. Using the RnG pail shaker right now, but it's pricey and I'd love to make my own.

I too have used prefolds in a pinch inside a FB (don't own any BGs). They are way too bulky for my taste. Hemp inserts are so much trimmer and absorbant. Prefolds don't hold stink like microfiber and hemp though. That is their main advantage (IMO). I have many prefolds for sale on DS. Some used, some brand new. LMK if you want the link!

Same here. B only takes about 2oz from a bottle, but I'm sure he's getting plenty from nursing because he's growing like crazy. I wouldn't worry unless your baby isn't gaining weight.

No quirks, per se, he's just a really cool little baby! I love him to pieces and I'm really enjoying my LAST little baby. Ben went for a nurse visit/immunizations yesterday (we spread them out so only 1-2 per month). He weighs 16lbs 4oz (fully clothed, so I figure 16lbs naked ;) ) He's ~ 3 1/2 months now. No idea on his height because they don't check that unless it's a WBV.He had a tough day from the Prevnar and HIB shots though. Very fussy [:(] He's fine today though.

I don't understand the title of your thread. What does introducing solids have to do with weaning? A baby's primary source of nutrition should be breastmilk or formula for at least the first year of life. Solids are just a supplement for practice. I'd be comfortable giving my baby finger foods like small bits of banana or avocado as soon as he demonstrated the pincer grasp. That's the readin...

Would it make more sense to just keep your pail in the bathroom? I'm not sure how far your bathroom is from your changing station. I can't even remember what I did w/DD1, but for my most recent diapering experiences, I'm lucky enough to have a bathroom attached to the kids' rooms so it makes shaking the diaper into the toilet easy enough. Pro-raps makes great newborn covers. If you get 'seconds' they are super cheap. You can also get preemie prefolds or Kissaluvs size 0 fitteds are great too. I have 12 of the prefolds & 2 fitteds I'm about to sell.
