What a cutie! I love the picture. I'm glad you are adjusting to 4 (nad all 4 and under!). I am slowly adjusting but it might make me crazy first.

I'm still here...waiting and waiting and waiting. I've passed my due date with all of my babies so it isn't a surprise but the waiting is getting long. I'm hoping that I will someday get to have this baby without having to be induced, but we will see. I'm sorry that we are all in the moaning/groaning uncomfortable stage, but our sweet little ones are just on the other side ...

I have [DS][DS][DD] at the moment with another ?? on the way. I see that family makeup a lot--the BBG. I also know a few families around here with BBBG and even BBBBG. It is definitely annoying when people say "you must have kept trying until you got a girl" especially in front of the boys.

How exciting! Everyone is so close now. I'm officially ready to have this baby---I've been thinking longer was better as I'm not sure how I'll cope with 4 at the beginning, but now I'm ready to take the chance! My Drs don't check for progression on subsequent pregnancies b/c really, what is the point unless you are going to be induced or have problems (neither of those are ...

I think the TJ and JT nicknames are cute but could you come up with another set of names to make the nicknames from. Maybe Thomas James and then other names that start with J and T (Jackson Tyler or something) ? IMO, I would try to give the twins more individual names as they are individuals and will be referred to and grouped together enough as it is. Consider how you woul...

Is anyone out there team green/having a surprise at delivery? What did you do to get ready for baby's arrival? Did you get both boy stuff and girl stuff ready and then return the opposite gender stuff or pack it away if you had both to begin with? Did you guess and hope that's what you'd get and get ready for that gender? Did you pick all gender neutral stuff (I find ...

I'm on my 4th too. I am anxious about the unknown. DS1 was a horrible delivery and recovery was the worst thing I've ever lived through. #2 and #3 were easy but I can't help but worry that something like the first would happen again. I couldn't possibly be lucky enough to have an easy one again. And this baby seems (by u/s anyway) fairly large (despite my normal weigh...

People will make comments no matter what. I didn't get any comments when pg with #3 and when she was a girl, everyone said "oh good now you can be done". With #4, apparently it is all about the comments. I've even had a relative tell me that I could abort until the end of the 2nd trimester b/c no one needs that many kids. It's 4 (not 25!!)--geez. The most commen...

We have short lists for girls and boys. Boys are harder to decide on for us but only because there are so many that I really like. What I find hard is that all the boy names I like end in "n" and I'm not sure how to of those go together for first or middle names. Looks like a game time decision for us too. But I love to look at names---I'll be sad that this is the last time...

Glad to read everyone's updates. I am still hanging in there--nothing too terrible this go round--just the usual need for Tums every night, difficulty sleeping, and leg cramps. I've gained 27 lbs so far which is right in the middle of what I've gained with the others so nothing too different. I go for a 36 week size check in about a week so that should be fun to get to peek...

#1 about 6 hours, back labor, 3 hours was pushing, difficult birth#2 about 2.5 hours, natural, easy labor (well as easy as labor can be I guess)#3 about 5 hours total, water broke at beginning so was mroe painful and longer than #2 but way easier than #1

FX that she stays in a little bit longer. Every day helps and at least you have made it past 32 weeks, which is a very good thing. Enjoy your bed "rest" and keep us posted.

It's hard to take the plunge and wean. I personally tend to go with child-led weaning to a point. I've nursed my kids for 17 months, 2 years, and still nursing #3 at 20 months (so maybe longer than you prefer?). If you are stuck in the decision-making, maybe try the "don't offer, don't refuse" approach and see where it goes. It may be sporadic for a few weeks but either you...

Sorry you (all) had to hear those comments. People seem to make comments about you and your family regardless of gender. I cannot even count how many people asked if this baby was a "surprise" as it is #4 and of course, we couldn't actually want 4 kids. Ugh. After I had DD, probably 100 people have said to me "thank goodness, you finally got your girl" or "I bet...

I'm having contractions that last for an hour or two every 5-10 minutes and they actually stop me in my tracks and I'm only 30 weeks. They do subside if I lie down, drink water, etcso they are just the "Braxton-Hicks" ctx and not real labor but with 3 kids home on holiday, who has time to lie down and drink water :) I hope you all have real labor soon. I'm huge this time too. I'm measuring right on track (fundal height) but baby is measuring5 days to a week ahead. People have been commenting on how big I am already. I haven't gained too much weight yet (although I've gained some--at Dr appt, I had gained maybe 11 lbs) but my belly is pretty big. With DD, I remember being small (she also measured 5-7 days ahead consi...

Yes, we co-sleep with the baby. DS1 slept in his crib until he woke up and then in with us. As soon as he moved to a twin bed at 2, he never wanted to sleep with us again---must have been more comfortable without us :( DS2 started in his crib at bedtime around age 1 and then came into our bed after we were asleep until he was 5 (with occassional visits still).&...

You will fall in love with him, although it may take time. When he is here, remember that he is just a baby, your baby, and no matter the gender, babies are virtually the same (except for the diaper changes)---your newborn days will be the same boy or girl. Focus on your baby and not the down the road boyness or girlness. That can help. You will be a good mom to him w...

[Y]Does it feel good to be able to call the baby a name? We named DS1 weeks before delivery but we didn't have a definite name for DS2 or DD until delivery or a few days before.
