I definitely know what you mean! I went in at 20 wks and was shocked to hear girl. Just confirmed at 23 wks and still skeptical. FWIW I think yours looks girlie!
I was the same way with my first girl. I had 4 U/Ss and still didn't believe it until she was out.

My mom said something to me the other day when my almost 2yo DD walked by. She said "every time I look at her my heart squeezes!" I feel the same way about her! I feel amazed every day that somehow she was born to me. She is sweet and precious and everything I ever dreamed she would be! I totally understand how this mom feels at this moment. Sacred ground might be a bit much but I totally see wher...

I sure hope it's a girl! It looks so much like my 20wk u/s. I was thrown by how much skin I could see on mine and worried it was a scrotum. I'm going in for another u/s next week to confirm. Here's my pic

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I totally understand. If this baby had been a boy I don't think I could have accepted the fact that we are done. Of course, my poor DH was done after the first TWO! He is such a patient man. This last baby was planned by both of us though and we were both hoping for one more DD. I felt like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders when I found out we are ex...

Nothing is wrong with you!!! I had four boys in a row and I know many others IRL who also have had. Can you imagine how shocked I was when I found out bio child #5 was a girl! It is possible! There is hope! I didn't sway and now am expecting a second girl.
You can do what I did. Have the tech take picture and either seal them in an envelope or ask them to put them on a thumb dr...

If it's just a boy/girl you are wanting, why don't you just adopt? Did anyone consider this? Is it your genes in there that are important to you too?
I did adopt! It was a long and difficult process. Because I already had children it was very difficult to get a baby, we ended up adopting a special needs 3yo from another country. It was expensive(almost 20K) and a lot harder than I thought ...

Just tell everyone that you are keeping it a surprise and deal with it privately. I had 4 boys and my family members all have GD and all want girls so I hear you about the comments. Maybe you will be blessed with a girl. You never know! I do understand the fear. I have felt it so bad every time. Imagine my shock when the u/s tech said, with my last pregnancy, "y...

I guess it's because that's I view it as how it really is around here. Tongue in cheek or not. I used to be accepted as one who understands and was cheered when I was pregnant with Virginia even though I already had an adopted DD. Now it seems as if I'm not allowed my feelings. I didn't find it funny.
AprilMay had to know that it would offend some.

For me at first it was wanting a biological DD. I loved having a DD but I was so curious about what a bio dd would look like, act like, etc. My adopted DD and I are opposite in so many ways. It has been a frustrating time learning to parent her, because I never know what she is thinking. I wondered if a bio DD would be different. So when I actually produced a bio DD I was in...
