We have no hydro for the whole weekend, but, I do have the fridge, stove and microwave, and a couple small lamps....They will be back Monday, and will start to cut the floors upstairs so they can reach the lighting on the main floor. I was told they will be doing this until wednesday, p...
Thanks Missy for the tip about when to go to the hospital....My 2nd DS came at 37 weks due to me having the very same kind of contractions I am having now. I guess when I am due to have a section, the doctors don't want me to go into full blown labour...
I have not been checked either so I have no idea if I am dilating or effaced. Sh...

Yes, they can come at regular intervals... but a 'real' contraction will start to get longer in length, get closer in frequency and also get stronger or more intense.
Ok, something to watch for.....the online contaction Master is really handy too! Here's the link for anyone thta missed it the first time....

So, can BH's come at regular intervals then? I am timing mine, all day, and they are 10 - 17 min apart, and lasting 30 seconds each time....I have to watch myself close as the doc does not want me to go into labour due to risk of uterin rupture...I feel like I should have it checked out, but feel silly going, KWIM?? The BH's are even wakin...

This is how it was explained to me: Braxton hicks and contractions are basically the same thing - contractions. BH can feel the same, last as long, and sometimes feel like the real thing...The only difference is that BH do not dilate the cervix, and the 'real' contractions do dilate and put you into labor. Braxton hicks are your body practicing... an...

My boys will only be 21/2 and 19 mths by Christmas, so they still don't understand a few things, like if Maddie doesn't get anything...
I am, however, going to buy her a "first Christmas" ornament. I do that for all the kids. I did buy her a stocking to hang, maybe I'll put her ornament in there...other than that, most likely not much more. I am not even sure if the grandparents will buy her anyt...

My "dating" U/S said the same as you....1 week behind the date I thought.....BUT, I was charting, so I know EXACTLY when I O'd and when my LMP was.....that means when I have my section, I willonly be 4 days before my actual DD, and the doc thinks it's 12 days before my actual DD....who's right???

That was a little weird of the doctor to do. They should have done a full exam. You have a history of amniotic leakage. That was very odd of him. Did he check your blood pressure??
I would call him back and ask the nurse why he did that. Very strange.
I agree, I'd call him back to make sure he was clear on things...Squat girl squat!!!!!
