We had our level II this morning, and everything looked great. The echogenic focus has faded and can't even be considered a marker at this point because it's not as bright as bone. The fact that it has faded is really positive. There were no other markers for chromosomal abnormalities, so pair that with my results from the triple screen and my odds have changed from 1:6...

I'm going to try the Burts Bee's first and see how it works on her hair, and if that doesn't go smoothly I'll start moving onto some of the other products that were listed here that I can find. I know Burts Bees products are really good, my mom loves them, so I think that'd be a good place to start.

I don't know about these particular blankets, but did end up using The Amazing Miracle Blanket (what a name, huh?) with my second son until he was nearly 5 months old, and he was a big baby - always in the 100th percentile. It's quite the contraption, and a tad spendy, but it was the only swaddle he couldn't squirm out of. I began using it when he was 2 1/2 months o...

I pumped exclusively for all 3 of my kids for 6-8 weeks each. This last time I was able to get one good latch and it was heavenly. But all the other times it never worked. I had help from at least 3 experts but I wasn't meant to be. For dd1 I saved enough bm to last 9 months, for dd2 I pumped enough for 6 months and for ds I pumped enough to last 10 ...

You ladies are awesome - what an inspiration! I didn't know that my nipples were any different than the next lady's until the day I delivered my oldest son, so the breastfeeding trouble took me by surprise. Thank you for all of the replies and wonderful information - I'm going to get busy buying some breast shields and shells! It's all worth worth a try - I'd love ...

The ultrasound tech says she's on her way! I didn't sway with my boys, but did sway for #3. I did the diet, lost a few pounds, and took suppliments. Best of luck to you!

I'm going to give it a go again this time. The first time around, I didn't stand a chance... I had painful "adhesions" that had to be broken before the nipples could even be drawn out. Before my second child, I used the Avent Nipplette, broke the adhesions, and then could coax them out. Still, baby couldn't latch on and pumping exclusively was not an option (I had a 16 month...

I think as long as your blood work comes back okay and everything else looks good, there isn't any reason that you shouldn't be able to! My cousin had her 4th at home and there were no concerns. I had bleeding problems with my first, but they knew I was going to - I had pre-eclampsia and a low platelet count going into the induction, and as a result my uterus did not firm up well ...

Thank you ALL for your kind, reassuring words and stories. Motherhood is scary sometimes, isn't it?? I've been on the computer all afternoon reading, reading, reading, and everything I've read so far sounds reassuring. A single marker in conjunction with a normal triple scan makes an EIL much less worrisome. Still, we'll take all the prayers we can get!

Thanks, ladies - you are too sweet. It looks like we're getting our girl! I just made a post - there were some concerns about the heart, so I'm praying that everything is OK - we'll be seeing the perinatalogist sometime in the next couple of weeks.

.... and it looks like we're having a girl! We're very excited - the 3 white lines were very clear and the tech said that while she never says 100%, she had never viewed boy parts that looked like that. [:)]
Now for the scary news - they did find a "bright spot" on the heart called an echogenic focus (a calcium deposit.) This can be a soft marker for Down's and I'm a wreck. ...
