i'm a december "baby" and i've always LOVED it!! i grew up in ohio so there was always snow on my birthday which was way cool if you got a snow day, and the christmas shows are on so you get to stay up late to watch them, and it's magical to have a birthday party on the dark early evenings when the christmas lights are all lit. i'd say go for it. i have a few friends with dec bir...

the first month (lime month) - i didn't really tell dh about the douche thinking he'd be weirded out. but after our attempt, he complained of stinging when he peed (sorry tmi) which i can only attribute to the lime. the next month with vinegar he didn't have that problem, but of course he was like "what smells like vinegar in here?" [lmao] busted!!

i've used both - the vinegar didn't sting. i felt more comfortable because the ph isn't so low - so i didn't feel like possibly my ph would go below 4 and kill all the sperm. with vinegar my ph stayed around 4.2-4.3 which i felt was better. i guess some women it raises ph so you'll want to do a trial run. i also liked the vinegar because you put the calcium in it which made...

for me it is just charting temps and knowing when i should expect o so that i can pay attention to my body. i've never used a monitor - so i don't know about that. but for alot of women, there are o cramps along with the increased mucus and really soft cervix. good luck!

i like your old wife picture, Tamara!! i do know alot of irish twins that are the same gender - including my three boys - they are a little over three years apart from oldest to youngest - my girl was to be about 3 years younger than my youngest boy, and this one will be 3.5 years younger, which i'm frustrated about for spacing but hoping that since i'm older it'll work in my favor! in...

i asked a similar question at one point and apparently splenda will lower ph a bit but not much. i have the same issue with aspartame, and had no problems lowering ph without it. i wouldn't count on splenda though to help your sway. i just used it if i needed a little extra in a smoothie or something. good luck!

hello! i''ve been swaying for a girl and just got a bfp this week - i'm roughly 4 weeks along. i have a question about a symptom i've been having... this is my fifth pregnancy so i'm not new to this! but i've not swayed before with diet changes, etc, so i'm wondering if this is where the change comes in. has anyone gotten pregnant after being on the girl diet and expe...

hey - thanks for the luck! you should check out the faq - it will answer alot of questions! basically though - o+12 means 12 hours after ovulation, bfp means big fat positive! and tbm, i think is what you mean, is turkey baster method which is described in the faq. good luck!!

hi joanne! it doesn't look like you're taking cranberry - that will really help lower your ph but it needs to be in your system for awhile so it won't help today. i have no idea about opks, i've never used them. but i would try the 2-3 mls lime douche to get your ph down and try to keep it below 5 until confirmed o. good luck!!

right... some people do tbm also, to bring semen ph down before it mingles with the egg... that's in the faq - of course my dh looks at me as if i have three heads when i bring that up!! i guess that way the combined ph would probably stay low. the "normal" way though, you got it!

did you have an attempt this month? it could also mean you're pregnant[;)] that's what happens to me, anyway... i don't know about the estrogen thing though, sorry!

if you are below 4 all the spermies will die. i think that's why the lime douche didn't work for me, my ph was right around 4. so you want it to be 4-4.5 before bd, then 1/2 hour after, you check the ph of whatever's up there. combination[;)] and it will probably need to be brought down with more lime douche, because his ph is 7 or more. (below 7 for dh and the sperm ...

you test the cm from your finger or put it on a qtip from your finger if there isn't much. there's directions in the FAQ for this...
the ph 4 and 7 buffers are to calibrate the meter. you need to do that once a week so that it gives you accurate numbers when you test your cm. also, it should be stored in "storage sol...

i just bought 7% pickling vinegar at my grocery store. apparently this is rare though. there is a post or thread to make it from 5% - the easiest way i think would be to freeze the 5% and skip the frozen water off several times - the water freezes before the vinegar. search for the thread though to be sure of the directions. good luck!

hi chloe - have you checked out fitday.com? it let's you put in how many strawberries you have, etc and tracks the potassium so you can eat it in moderation and not eat too many to put you over the K limit. for me it is a balance between berries and dairy (which also has potassium even if you get organic - in fact some of the organic brands actually have more so you have to read labels...

hmm - i haven't heard of the yeast thing, i make yeast bread with no salt. it's good toasted.
i sometimes cook the same for my family, but usually i just cook for them and then eat plain buttered pasta and green beans or something. i'm very stubborn so eating boring things for a short time doesn't bother me much! on sundays i just make a big chicken and green beans and ric...
