Hi everyone!! I'm new to HT but not new to IG. I began swaying for a girl in summer of 2009. While taking a few months "off" I got pregant with... you got it... my 3rd baby boy!! (I was told by 2 u/s techs that he was a girl but THANK GOODNESS IG's u/s tech knows what she's talking about... just from the videos i posted, she had a feeling it wasn't a girl and kept suggesting i get a second opinion...

Well, baby Brayden arrived Monday evening. He weighed 6lbs. 7oz and he's an absolute sweetheart... The labor was longer than usual for me (12 hours) but I was able to stick to my decision of no epidural. I wouldn't change one tiny thing about him. Even if we decide not to have anymore children, I'm over-the-moon!! His big brothers are doing great with him and love him to pieces.&...

MonkeyJams, I can sooooo relate! I've not heard of epidurals being ineffective often but its happened to me both times too. With my first, only my one side got pain relief but I felt everything on the other side. With my second son, my water was broken and I was given pitocin and the epidural just didn't seem to have time to work I guess?? I was a mess!!! I felt everything, down ...

I can relate as well :) I'm over the worst of my GD but I still have setbacks for various reasons. I mostly get bummed when someone I know has a DD on their second try (after first having a son) and here I am having my THIRD boy. And it often DOES seem like society as a whole thinks girls are more special, sweet, lovable, etc. People just go ga-ga over baby girls.... ...

Great thread Mindy!! Well, thinks are going good for me... though I'm getting kinda impatient and want the time to go a bit faster til I get to delivery. I'm tired of feeling like a whale and I'm only 27 weeks!!! We've chosen a name (Brayden David), David for my beloved father who passed way too soon to meet any of my sweet sons. Brayden's room is decorated and pretty much ready....

Indigoviolet, congrats on a healthy baby boy!! I know the dissapointment u are feeling. My scan was just a few weeks ago and already I feel sooo much better!! Glad u are taking it so well!! Congrats!

I know how u feel. This is only our 3rd child yet a lot of family members (our parents excluded) made comments like "Are u crazy?" or "You do know you're gonna have another boy, right?" I think since most couples we know stop at the typical two kids, they all think we are crazy for wanting a bigger family. They have no reason to think we have "too many". We are fortun...

My sons' names are Kellen and Chayce. The names we like for this baby boy are: Cole, Bryson, Braydon, Cameron, Bryce or Blake. Have u compiled a tentative list yet??

Thanks everyone!!! Were were OVERJOYED when we were told girl but we've come to terms with the fact that we were told the wrong gender TWICE!! In fact, we are looking forward to having another baby. Of couse, a girl woulda be fantastic but we are happy either way. I'm not gonna lie... the first few days were horrible... I didn't know how I was gonna get over it. ...
