We are from Wisconsin! We live in New Berlin, a suburb of Milwaukee. All four of my sons are bi-racial as well.
[/quote] WOW! You are the first person I've seen on here from Wisconsin. I live in Appleton/ Little Chute, about 25-30 miles south of Green Bay. It's nice to see other mixed families on here. My husband is from Africa ...

When my daughter is next to me, everyone says she looks like me. When she's next to her daddy, they say she looks like him :) I think she's a perfect mixture of us both!

Quigs, you have a very gorgeous daughter! Love that picture.

Good luck mama2boys! I sure am jealous - I would give anything to have my baby tomorrow.
I DO have a dr. appt. today at 12:30. I need to come up with a strategy. Yesterday and today have been the worse, I've never really felt like I wanted to die before. Today on top of the numb hands and the spd, I have extreme nausea and abdominal pain. And here I sit at work - not...

I hope that you have your baby soon, and me too! My doctor hasn't said how engaged my baby's head is, but now I'm sure going to ask tomorrow at my appointment!

Yes, but you'd be getting up and down a LOT less in a wheel chair. Instead of having to get up and get copies, you could wheel yourself over there. And even if you were at home, you'd still have to get up for things like using the bathroom.

This is true. I never thought of it that way before...

Wow. I hate to think of what kind of lives those babies are going to lead. Sad & Sorry Stuff indeed. :( [U]

I understand all of the reasons why it's better for the baby to stay in for the full recommended 40 weeks. However, when your mental state of mind and daily preserverance are severely hindered due to complications of pregnancy, I can also understand why some women would do anything to go into labor early after the 37 "full term" clearance has passed!

Thank you. DS#1 and #2 have the same father - one looks just like him, and one just like me LOL. I wish I had the better photo scanned of DS#3 - he and his dad look identical, and DS#3 and DS#4 lo...

I couldn't imagine being able to reach down there to check. I can't even reach to shave.....LOL. I have short arms I guess.
I feel where you're coming from, though. I would want to know too! Especially if it means being able to deliver at one hospital over another. Good luck!

Here, I can only take off for 3 days without a doctor note. I have used just about all of my available vacation and sick time so far. As a last resort, I know I can take a personal leave or FMLA - but it would be unpaid.
Luckily, the bathroom issue has only been a problem for me first thing in the morning while I'm still at home. But the spd is obviously getting worse. I s...

I might be better off trying to switch doctors even now.....ugh.
I have never worked this late into pregnancy before. My old doctor would write me off for anything - even tailbone pain. I am so disappointed that I'm being forced to consider this. I don't mean to sound like I'm whining, but it really is very bad.
I really don't think crutches or a wheelchair would make much diff...

Gender can be detected at around 16 weeks, but I have never been able to "request" a gender scan before. Usually, unless you have another reason for the u/s, they make you wait for the anatomy scan at around 20 weeks.
I've always been impatient and paid to have a private scan done at around 16 weeks myself.

I know this sounds awful, but my doctor still refuses to write me off work because of my spd. Even though she acknowledges that I have it. I begged her at my appointment last week to no avail.
I am now having trouble even making it to the bathroom on time. I'm at my last straw, and am willing to do anything - even make up something - to get her to write me an excuse so I can go ...

Wow. I think my due date may be off by a week or so. There is no way I could handle a festival or a water park right now. I feel like I'm trapped in my own body.
My spd is worse than ever - I'm now having a hard time making it to the bathroom when I wake up at night to go. And I've lost the feeling in my hands - it's so hard to drive, type and even holding a pen at work is...

Oooooohhhh...I got:
two packs of onesies, a huge box of diapers, bottles, bottle brush, lots of bibs, lots of socks, blankets, sleep sacks, my boss bought a TON of outfits - I would say there are about 30 of them or more, more outfits, a handmade knitted hat/sleep sack, another handmade blanket, more hats, pacifiers, etc...
It's a good thing too because I was unprepared for this baby until now.&...

That's too bad. I didn't think I was getting one either....they really kept it secret from me. Everyone should have a baby shower for every pregnancy, I think. Especially if it's their first or first of a different gender, or even not - it could be a diaper/wipe party, etc.
I think all babies deserve showers. I wish I could throw you one!

I got so much stuff - it's so exciting. I'm so happy that they did that for me. Totally surprised me and made my day.
