Re: Help me figure if/what is wrong with my baby please?

Has she been given any medication for reflux?  Not sleeping, being fussy and losing her voice sound like it could be from reflux. The reflux can burn their little throats, causing pain and a hoarse voice.

Re: colic/wind treatments

I've heard good things about Colic Calm though I've never used it myself. I did, however, use Baby Bliss Gripe Water with DS1 and it would help him stop screaming for about a half an hour...it definately wasn't "magic," but it did give me (and him) a little relief. If your son has reflux he made need a prescription medication such as Zantac or Prevacid (not sure what they hav in NZ). I know, the s...

Re: Anyone else get really strong AF pains at 14dpo and still carry on with the pregnancy?

Make sure you're getting enough iron....being that cold *might* mean you're anemic. Take care.

Re: Anyone else get really strong AF pains at 14dpo and still carry on with the pregnancy?

I always had strong AF type cramps with all my pregnancies...except for the pregnancy I miscarried. I was constantly heading to the restroom because I thought for sure AF was coming. I would take your cramping as a good sign. GL

Re: No MS by 8 weeks?

With my 3rd pregnancy(DS3), my m/s didn't start until around week 10. It lasted until the 26th week.

Re: Can anyone remember....

It took me about 6 weeks to stop bleeding. Now, 4 month pp, and I still have the brown line going down my belly...though, it's faded quite a bit. I still have 3-5lbs to lose...wish it would hurry up. I must say, even though I only have 3-5lbs to lose, I feel like my flabby stomach is here to stay. After 3 pregnancies, I think my stomach muscles are shot. Wish I could have a tummy tuck.

Re: Wierd reason to schedule a C section for me???

It's completely normal to not be dialted at 37.5 weeks. Also, your body can do amazing things while it's laboring...I would definately try for a vbac...if it doesn't work as hoped, at least you knew you tried and won't regret the decision. My friend just had a vbac that was induced a week before her due date and pushed 10x's and gave birth to a healthy, beautiful little girl. She said attempting t...

Re: Stopping naps? at 4 months???!!?!?!?!?!

Oh crap! My soon to be 4 month old is the worst sleeper! My other two slept like champs, not this one though. Literally, he sleeps 4-5 hours at night, then he might have an hour long nap in the morning and then maybe two 10 minute cat-naps all.day.long. Needless to say, I get absolutely nothing done. I blame my DH though...his Mom said he was the same way.

Re: your sex drive in pregnancy, and sex of baby?

I have 3 boys and I wanted my DH to stay as far away from me as possible while preggers!

Re: Too much scar tissue from c-section

My friend had to come home with a catheter after her 4th c-section and she had it in for about a week. Apparently, they had to cut into her bladder because she had so much scar tissue. I've had 3 c-sections and I would like another child, but I'm just too scared because of the complications that could arise. If your Dr. said it would be too risky, I would probably follow his advice. On a side-not...

Re: Baby #4 and a whole new level of nausea for me
Thanks girls. I am hoping the opposite type of pg is true for me...appetite=boys. No appetite=girl.  Our house needs a little girl SO bad! My boys keep saying that it's a girl. I hope they are right! FX!! By the way, I'm finding that sour cream & Ranch dressing helps me(not mixed together).  Is this weird?
Hope this is your gi...

Re: Baby #4 and a whole new level of nausea for me

I totally understand. With my last pregnancy, I literally spent all day trying not to puke, yet it wasn't the intense nausea you get with a stomach bug where it makes you run to the toilet, it was this constant feeling of "I'm about to barf." Does that even make sense? lol. Like I said, the Dr gave me Zofran and it was the best money I ever spent(at the time). It was instant relief and I cou...

Re: Baby #4 and a whole new level of nausea for me

I was horribly nauseated with my last 2 pregnancies and just like you, no amount of food helped. It got to the point where I couldn't deal with it anymore, so I told my Dr and she put me on Zofran and it became my BFF for a while. I only had to take 1 pill a day and it kept the nausea/vomitting at bay and I felt so much better...I love Zofran. Even though you feel like crap and not eating much, y...
woaaaah!!! 20000, 48000!!!! OMG!!! and I thought medical bills were expensive here!!!
Yeah, my health insurance sucks...especially since we pay $104.00 a week for it!

Re: Cost of Normal delivery and C section @ a private hospital in ur location?

I just had a c-section in April and finally received all my bills....$20,000.00! Since I have health insurance, I saved $9,000.00. I'll end up having to pay $3,000.00 out of pocket after my insurance pays it's half. Bleh.

I don't feel like I'm done having babies, but...

is it safe to have 4 c-sections? i just had my 3rd c/s in april and would like one more babe, but am fearful about having anymore c/s's. my dr. said her max was 4, possibly 5, but i don't know. is there anyone out there who's had more than 3 c-sections? what was your experience like? did you heal ok? i found with my last section it took me quite a bit longer to heal. if only my damn body would dia...

Re: When trying to lose weight, what are you eating for B-fast/Lunch??

I like it. It kind of has a vanilla flavor to it. I'm not sure how "natural" it is, because I believe it's processed stevia. You can buy regular stevia in the organic section at your grocery store, but imho, it's bitter and it left a horrible after-taste in my mouth. My iridologist recommended Truvia since i disliked the regular stevia so much. He said Truvia is much better than sugar, splenda, or...

Re: When trying to lose weight, what are you eating for B-fast/Lunch??
I love Kashi too!!  Im going to pick up some today.  Need a break from Fiber One I used to eat Yogurt, but since I stopped artificial sweetners I dont eat the light versions and the regular ones seem so high in sugars, so I just stopped buying them.  But, I still like them.   And I do eat whole wheat test.although I dont eat tuna...  Soy nut...

Re: not sure where to post this, may be a bit OT...

Not in this DDGroup, but wanted to reply.... I weighed 80lbs when I was 14 and was 5'4" tall back then...skinny minny. People would ask my Mom if I was sick because I was so skinny. I swear, I ate all the time. I was constantly hungry...could not get enough to eat! Then, when I was 16, I gained about 25lbs, got boobs and blossomed so to speak and my appetite sort of decreased...well, kind of....

Re: can i just vent...no need for anyone to open and read.
My dad always referred to insurance as 'legalized extortion'.  The more we deal with insurance companies the more that holds true.
True. I just received my first bill from my c-section....$920.00 for the epidural and I have to pay $780.00! Why do I pay $104.00 a week to these people? Gawd.

Re: Has Anyone Have A Sit And Stand Stroller?

We have the Baby Trend Sit and Stand LX from Toy R Us and we love it! The only thing that I dislike about it is that it is heavy and a little difficult getting in and out of oue vehicle.
