Re: 2010 Cyclers...

Hello everyone I also am "thinking" of doing IVF/PGD sometime in Dec/Jan/Feb with a local Doc here in Mich.....which also makes me nervous. I'm soooo jealous Sassafras that you live so close to HRC. That would be my first choice but the cost of travel along with Three boys is just out of the Q's. We really need to make up our minds one way or another.....well I should say I need to convince ...

Re: Lost and confused :-(

Thanks Ladies for all the great thought's........tryin4pink I am most likely going to do pgd/ivf only because i can't travel with the three boys and theres a local doc that has a pretty good rep that does this for family balancing. PrincessLeia I do the exact same thing....one day I'm covinced and 100% sure this is the route I'm going then the next day I think I'll just sway (even though I s...

Lost and confused :-(

I know no one on here can give me the answer I'm looking for but I think I just need to get some relief and get all this off my chest. My husband and I have been looking into high tech for a girl for almost two years now and I still can't decide what to do! I really would love a DD but all the things that go along with it $, Meds, The whole process I'm not sure I can do. I think it's mostly the $,...

Re: Has anyone used International Institute for Gender Selection in Kentucky for IVF/PGD? Dr. Zavos?

Hi Patnic,I also live in Michigan and was checking into IVF/PGD earlier this year. I found a place in Rochester  Hills. They do IVF/PGD for family balancing also. We actually went and had a free consult with the Doc. Everyone in the office was very nice and didn't judge at all. We still haven't decided if we are going to go this route or not. It's such a hard decision to make. Many day'...

Re: Had my consult yesterday....it was awesome!

I'm going to call the Doc's office and ask about the CHG testing. I know you alway's have a chance of something going wrong whether you do it natural or with help. My Dh just dosen't know if he want's to take the extra risk and I'm not sure I want to either I would never be able to live with the guilt if something ended up being wrong with the baby just because I wanted a girl. Re: Having my first consult next weds for IVF/PGD and getting very nervous!!!!

Dreams4me I'm also mostly freaked out about the whole idea of the IVF/PGD process. I also have not mentioned anything about this to my regular OB because I'm worried about what they'll think....which I hate that I feel that way. I'm so envious of people who have the attitude "I don't care what other people think" I care too much and I shouldn't!

Re: Having my first consult next weds for IVF/PGD and getting very nervous!!!!

I'm using a local clinic. I thought about using HRC but with three little boy's at home and the cost of travel it just made more since for us to stay here. I just worry no place is as good as HRC. AnneUCSB we'll have to compare note's after our consult's. Good luck to you too!!!!!!!!!

Having my first consult next weds for IVF/PGD and getting very nervous!!!!

I don't know why I'm soooo nervous it's just a consult. I think it's because it getting real and I'm not sure I'm 100% committed. I hate that I can't make my mind up. I feel like we should just be grateful for what we have and be done....but then I'm worried I'll regret not going for a DD. I wish some little magic fairy would visit me and give me a sign. Did all you ladies have these same fe...

Re: How many of you told your families your decision for high-tech?

I've already mentioned it to my sister....but my husband and I have already agreed we would only tell my Mom and sister. I'm really close to them. As far as my In-laws go never. I love them but there very jugemental and negative sometimes and I would never want my son's to know or anyone to treat the baby differently. My sis and mom would also be a big help in taking care of the kids while w...

Re: scared/guilty

OMG I know daziedazie! I feel the same, four does sound scarey but my husband and I both feel if we can handle three why not four. We'll just be making our home a much more fun place to be because lord knows we won't be taking all four out for dinner for awhile. We'll just have to have more cookouts and get togethers at our house. Kelly3boys That's the only way you can look at it. What ever ...

Re: scared/guilty

I also just found out I'm having boy #3 and I was a little upset at first but I'm feeling much better about it now. My Dh has been beyond supportive and told me he would do whatever  I want to get a daughter even if that means going high tech. I really have started to like the sound of 3 boy's and a girl. But I also felt the way most of you feel on here now, when I was ttc my third. I k...

Re: anyone who can recommend a IVF/PGD clinic near or in Michigan?

Do you know the names of the ones in Chicago and Indiana or have a link to their site? Also I've tryed finding the one in Detroit you mentioned but have'nt found any info. Did you actually find something online about them? If so can you pass on the info and I'd be glad to contact them and let you know if they do. Thanks
