Hello everyone I also am "thinking" of doing IVF/PGD sometime in Dec/Jan/Feb with a local Doc here in Mich.....which also makes me nervous. I'm soooo jealous Sassafras that you live so close to HRC. That would be my first choice but the cost of travel along with Three boys is just out of the Q's. We really need to make up our minds one way or another.....well I should say I need to convince ...

Hi Patnic,I also live in Michigan and was checking into IVF/PGD earlier this year. I found a place in Rochester Hills. They do IVF/PGD for family balancing also. We actually went and had a free consult with the Doc. Everyone in the office was very nice and didn't judge at all. We still haven't decided if we are going to go this route or not. I'm going to call the Doc's office and ask about the CHG testing. I know you alway's have a chance of something going wrong whether you do it natural or with help. My Dh just dosen't know if he want's to take the extra risk and I'm not sure I want to either I would never be able to live with the guilt if something ended up being wrong with the baby just because I wanted a girl. AAAARRRGGGHHH...

So cute!!!!!!! Congrat's:-) You'll be just fine. The first month is def the hardest but after that it's a piece of cake(most day's) once I got a scedule going it helped sooooo much. Enjoy your princess.

Dreams4me I'm also mostly freaked out about the whole idea of the IVF/PGD process. I also have not mentioned anything about this to my regular OB because I'm worried about what they'll think....which I hate that I feel that way. I'm so envious of people who have the attitude "I don't care what other people think" I care too much and I shouldn't!

I'm using a local clinic. I thought about using HRC but with three little boy's at home and the cost of travel it just made more since for us to stay here. I just worry no place is as good as HRC. AnneUCSB we'll have to compare note's after our consult's. Good luck to you too!!!!!!!!!

I don't know why I'm soooo nervous it's just a consult. I think it's because it getting real and I'm not sure I'm 100% committed. I hate that I can't make my mind up. I've already mentioned it to my sister....but my husband and I have already agreed we would only tell my Mom and sister. I'm really close to them. As far as my In-laws go never. I love them but there very jugemental and negative sometimes and I would never want my son's to know or anyone to treat the baby differently. OMG I know daziedazie! I feel the same, four does sound scarey but my husband and I both feel if we can handle three why not four. We'll just be making our home a much more fun place to be because lord knows we won't be taking all four out for dinner for awhile. Do you know the names of the ones in Chicago and Indiana or have a link to their site? Also I've tryed finding the one in Detroit you mentioned but have'nt found any info.
