Re: March 2013 Due Date TTC Girl

 4th boy

Re: March 2013 babies!!!!

It's our 4th boy.  He's healthy, but looks like Darth Vader (according to DS1).  We're all a little disappointed but DH and I are trying to put a postivie spin on it for the kids.  DS1 drew a great picture of what he saw at the ultrasound.  Going to use this pic to announce the gender since we didn't get any really great pictures to take home (mostly just skeleton-baby fa...

Re: Daily check ins

It's a boy.  He's healthy but looks like a creepy skeleton baby - all the head shots we got were all skull.  The boys said he looks like Darth Vader.  DS1 did draw a great picture of what he saw at the ultrasound; I'm going to use that to share the gender since we didn't get any really great pics to take home.

Re: March 2013 Due Date TTC Girl

Kats, I'm totally with you on the name thing.  We've really stayed away from talking about names until we know gender, but I've still been thinking about it, of course.  My scan's in the morning, and here I am, awake at 2:15am and not able to go back to sleep since I'm stressing baby stuff.  I'm nervous about gender.  Also, I've been reading up about vbac stuff and all th...

Re: any one else have a dream as a sign?????

It sounds like a stress dream caused by all the stuff you've been going through.  Every delivery is different.  Also, try not to stress too much about a c-section: I was super scared going into my first, but now I've had 3 and really they're much easier than it sounds like.  But, the joy of holding your new baby will be there no matter how your delivery goes :)

Re: Birth Control HELP

I used the mini pill after both DS1 and DS3.  As long as you're breastfeeding, it worked great for me.  However, my periods didn't start again after birth (at least when nursing) until 10 months, 12 months, and 18 months (and I was on the mini pill the first and last times).  I nursed the whole time both times, but was close to weaning by the end of the 18 months.  I even...

Re: Anyone had a VBAC or having one or know anyone who did it?

I've been thinking more and more about vbac lately.  I've had 3 c-sections: 1st because of high blood pressure only in the last week and low-ish fluid so they didn't want to induce (worked out for the best since he was super tangled in the cord and probably would have ended up with a c-section anyway), 2nd I started labor but didn't dialate in a few hours and we needed to get baby out o...

Re: March 2013 babies!!!!

I have my anatomy scan tomorrow!  Ack!  DH and the boys will all be there, too, so I hope I'll be ok if we hear boy again.  I've really been trying to focus on the good, sweet things about my boys and keep that in mind.  I'm also a little scared in case we hear girl since I'm totally on top of all the boy stuff now and a lot will be different with a girl.  Either way...

Re: Daily check ins

Oh, BB, so sorry to hear about all the craziness in your life right now!  I hope it all works out soon and things settle down.  It's cool to hear about the ladies planning nurseries! I'm still having nausea, some sinus headaches, and have been pretty tired again, but overall not too bad.  We have our anatomy scan tomorrow and I'm super nervous now.  DH and all of our boys...

 Glad everything looks good!

Re: Having more scans later......

I'm high risk, so I'm expecting a bunch more ultrasounds after my anatomy scan tomorrow.

Re: Daily check ins

LOL!  I love your "personality" description!  Today has been a better day all around, so I'm feeling much better than I was earlier.  The boys are super excited about having another sibling.  DS1 is dead set on it being a girl and he's really going to be the protective big brother, I think.  DS2 wants a girl, too, and has been very curious about how the baby's growin...

Re: Breasts during pregnancy

I had very tender breasts with all three of my boys, but this time it's been very gradual in showing up.  Now, my left one is much more firm than my right, but both nipples are getting more sensitive.  I never had the sore, achy feeling early on this time.  I leaked colostrum for the last few months with DS1, but seemed to have better faucet control after that.  I did hav...

Re: 17w belly pic!

I wish I had a lovely bump like you ladies.  When my babies start getting bigger, they squish everything else up so I just look fat across the upper and lower parts of my tummy, with a visible waistline in between.  After DS3 was born I got some random comments from acquaintances, "I didn't even know you were pregnant!"  Wonderful, people just think I'm fat *sigh*  Pregna...

Re: Daily check ins

Ssableu I hope the bleeding has all stopped by now, but glad to hear that baby seems to be doing fine in there. Just under two weeks until my anatomy scan on Oct. 4.  I'm starting to get really nervous about it.  My kids have been going through a not-very-good behavior swing the last week or two and it's really making me question what the heck I'm doing having another.  M...

Re: Cravings/Aversions?

I, too, have been eating a fair amount of ice.  It's one thing that's guaranteed to settle my stomach when I have nausea.  I keep going back and forth between wanting salty and sweet.  Despite the crazy amounts of dairy that I ate while on the girl diet, I've still been wanting more.  A lot of cheese, too.

Re: Need urgent help with O+12.

Timing is the least important factor.  Your pH is great and you don't have much EWCM.  If you're trying to get pregnant sooner rather than later, go for it, but take some sudafed first to really dry you up and then keep your pH low until you're sure you've ovulated.  If you're not in a rush, you could wait.

Re: Daily check ins

Wow - those cakes are amazing!!!!  And, what a great way of announcing your new baby girl!  I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class since mine tend to taste pretty good but look not-so-pretty.

Re: Daily check ins

Those sounds like beautiful cakes!  Wow!  It's also been fun reading about all the ladies finding out their baby's genders!  I had another ob check up on Thursday.  They did a huge blood draw for all my prenatal stuff that I should have had done a month ago, but couldn't stay for (they were running really behind that day and I had to go pick up my kids).  After that,...

Re: How did daddy put the baby in your tummy???

There are some really great books out there that explain boy/girl differences and where babies come from.  We got one for our oldest when he started kindergarten and really started getting interested in boy parts vs. girl parts.  This is the one we got:  http://www.amazon.com/Whats-Big-Secret-Talking-about/dp/0316101834/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346798587&sr=8-1&keywords=w...

Re: March 2013 babies!!!!

I totally understand - I've never really liked being pregnant, but the babies make it worth it :)  I am looking forward to one more newborn, but I hope that the pregnancy goes by quickly.

Re: March 2013 Due Date TTC Girl

LTB - I totally agree with you on the season helping to make MS worse.  I seriously feel a lot more sick when I'm out in the heat than when I'm inside and cool and resting.  Cold drinks and ice also help with my nausea.  Despite being 5 weeks away from a gender scan, and no nub shot at 12 weeks, I still broke down and bought a couple of really, really cute baby girl dresses th...

Re: weight gain

With a start weight of 120 and a healthy weight gain and loss with your first, I'm not sure why your ob is worried.  Thinner women tend to gain more while pregnant than larger women (I'm normally about 180 or so, and gained just 14, 9, and 10 lbs with my 3).  Just make sure you keep eating healthy and drink a lot of water. Also, have you had your gestational diabetes test yet? ...

Re: Due March 18th!!!!!!!!!

Kats, I'm totally with you on the weight gain stuff.  I put on a few lbs on the girl diet and then went a little crazy during the 2ww.  Then, I had a long while with no nausea and put on a few more lbs.  However, the morning sickness did finally kick in and I'm pretty sure that I haven't gained anything at all in the last 3 weeks or so.  I was worried, too, since I usuall...
