So I took my ph using the strips I have always used, but they are not changing colors?? What does this mean? My DH took his and it was about an 7/8. I have the Hanna, but not producing enough cm to place it on the bulb. I read that someone actually pushed it up v, but the end of mine are sharp - I couldn't imagine...

Hi Melody,
But you did O+12, right? I just worry because I don't know how to tell when cervix is ready, etc., that I may do O+8, or )+ something else rather than O+12. That's why I was wondering should we do FR with a O-3 or O-2 cutoff instead...

Ok- relieved over his ph :) But one other question! So since we are doing FR, could we try on the cd17th & 18th if DH FR in morning and try that night, or no?? I want to do O+12, but I worry because I am doing it based solely on timing - I do not knw how to check cervix, etc.

I am planning on trying as well! I should have a +OPK on the 20th then will try O+12 for the following night - if that is right?? Have you figured out O+12? Good luck!! Especially for twins - that is SO exciting :)

So just did a sample of my husband and his ph is between 7&8!! I know some women never test, but a little worried his is high! Plus worried he may not FR as often as he should!! Anyways, I am still waiting for Sylk - any other great tips you can recommend? Oh and my timing was I right on the O+12 if in a perfect world I do receive a +OPK at 7:30 am then the following night I should DTD...

I do use regular ones - and I was using 1st pee attempt :( But the days prior to taking the test I would always have two lines, but one would be very light in color. When I took this one it was SUPER dark matching the other line. I think the brand I was using was EPT.

Hi Bequita -
Just saw your post, couldn't access site! Anyways, we are near the home stretch! My husband is suppose to start FR tonight!! I should O on the the 20th of this month, if I had +OPK at 7:30 am last month and let's say I get another +OPK at 7:30 this cycle than I should DTD on 21st at 7:30 pm at night??? Is that right? If so, some kiddos are going to bed early!!
Thanks Melody...

Oh - you know I have that written in my notes to do O+12 this way - just retaining too much info and switching my plan as I get closer to the date :( I know with my first son, we DTD a couple times, but don't know which time worked - it was just really close to O... With my second, I believe my DH was abstaining and we were trying and first attempt I became preggos...

I'm SOOO back and forth with this!! But if I get DH to start FR 7 days before my anticipated O+12, which should be 21st of January (I should get +OPK on 20th, 24 hours later 21st we would DTD), this would be O, right and the correct day to DTD?? It just goes against the main fact of abstaining. Why didn't you abstain? Only reason I would FR is because of being scared of husband's sperm because...

So I've been on LE diet for about a couple weeks, really strict for one. But I never eat red meat and usually have a low calorie diet to begin with. I've taken ph this week with strips and it looks between 4-5. I just started AF today, my last was Dec. 8 and I had positive OPK on Dec. 24. I would like to try this month to have a Libra baby, but have I allowed body enough time? My DH has started...

Thanks Melody!!
I DTD right around O, I believe we abstained with DS2 and got lucky right around O and conceived. DS1 I think we DTD a couple times in a row and got preggos, but had abstained for a little bit before DTD.
So I should have him FR days before, should he have a cut off before O+12? Does his age really matter with birth defects, etc. that's really why I thought he has to FR......

So was on another site and told timing doesn't really matter, but the most important are the other factors: diet, ph, supplements. My DH is 43 and I am 31, so should he FR and then we try to DTD a few days before O and may attempt O+12, just to cover all bases??
Also, I've been taking Calcium/Magnesium, but heard these may not be necessary, so should I opt for trying milk?? If so, can I add c...

So really trying to get this right in the next couple cycles so I can try for a girl!! [:)]My first day of period was 12/8, I tested positive OV on 12/24 at 7 am, but really felt OV pains throughout the day till 5ish pm. But what I failed to do was really monitor CM - around 5 there wasn't too much, I do remember that :( - next time! The day before cm was cloudier, thick white. Wh...

How can you doctor to prescribe Clomid if not needed? I would like to have this as an add on bonus when I try, but I doubt my office would write it. Also, if I am trying for a girl, have other out there used this and believe this contributed to their success of getting a girl???
Thanks!!

Hi Drowning in Boys!
So I ovulated yesterday!! Was SOOOO surprised to see the results on OV stick yesterday at 7 am :) I actually felt OV pains as well - starting to learn my body- lol! Are you doing Shettles or O+12 (super confused which is the best)? I need to figure out the ph in me and testing that - I really do not know where to begin, but trying to with the research on this site. I am...

Hi-
I started the OV sticks on the 19th, but there was no detection, not even a faint line. I tried it the following day and got the faint line. I've been doing it since and this morning as well - just a faint line.
As mentioned, very new to this and not to in tuned with the body, etc. Learning from this forum :) My husband just started taking supplements last night for me!!

So I am trying for a girl, trying the diet, but not as strict as I am in the thick of Christmas baking and cooking and chocolate chip cookies are getting the best of me. I am taking the supplements, trying to eliminate caffeine (although usually only have a chai latte a day - not much caffeine in it). Do not like milk at all, so hoping calcium supplement and yogurt can replace it. I am really c...
