I don't think it's a weird name, but it is definitely different and I am not a big fan of it. I absolutely LOVE the name Avery though!!!! I would encourage you to stick with it and not worry about how popular it has become. It's a great name.

Oh my gosh, without a doubt Mtgirl - Mtgirl has shown such amazing support especially as I trudged through the darkest days of my life; She provided hope and inspiration when I was certain that there was none left; She lifted me up when my spirits were down and she is still the optomistic voice of reason in my life. I wish I lived closer to Montana because we would so be garage s...

This is what my sweet Madelyn taught me. Remember it as you think back on the time you had with your sweet angels; no matter how brief [hearts]

Oh gosh - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. [U]I lost my baby girl (in June) who was full term and 2 days old when she passed away and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about her and miss her. The saddness has just become part of who I am and is now my everyday reality. Even when things get just a tiny bit better and I start interacting and laughing with...

They are having a sale where you get 30% off if you puchase with an Old Navy credit card and last week I bought over 40 items for my boys including a great winter coat for my 3 year old, shoes, several shorts, slippers, jammies, 4 performance fleece hoodies and tons of long and short sleeved t-shirts for around $140bucks. The day I ordered I called to tell them that I was having troubl...

Thank you for all of the great info Michaela - I appreciate it :). That stinks about your coverage not including IVF - it doesn't seem fair - I agree that it may be time to move.

Does your state not provide insurance coverage for IVF or is it the employer that doesn't cover it?

Thak you Ilovemykids - that is what I was trying to figure out. So I guess that I just cannot willie nilly go to the fertility clinic and ask for IVF/PGD, just because I want it and expect the insurance company to cover it. I will give the ins co a call tomm and find out what constitutes being infertile in order to qualify for the ivf.

Do you think the insurance company will cover IVF even though I am fertile? I expect to pay for PGD out of pocket, but I may have to pay for everything if insurance doesn't cover IVF when I am able to conceive naturally. Or can I tell them that I had a daughter born with multiple anomolies and want to do IVF/PGD to test for chromosmal abnormalities and have them submit the ...

I am looking at the open enrollment info through my husbands work website and it gives three options of coverage - one is Aetna PPO, the other is United Health Care and the other is Cigna and all 3 offer IVF coverage at 100% up to $20,000 and coverage of infertility meds up to $10,000 - I know it varies from company to company and state to state, but I would imagine that you can call the in...

Thank you for all of the info Michaela :). I really appreciate it. Do you think my insurance will cover the meds and IVF if I paid for the PGD out of pocket - I would def want PGD to check for chromosomal abnomalities and for gender selection? I will definitely look into the free consultation - it would be great if I could get my insurance to cover the majority of the e...

Good question, although I am not sure how it all works - I too have insurance quetions and would appreciate any feedback anyone can provide. I know that our insurance through United Health Care covers 100% of infertility coverage up to a lifetime maximum of $20000 for procedures and $10000 for infertility related medications. Does anybody know if this would include PGD? I am in Dallas ...

Have another (I know, easier said than done). You make beautiful children and if it ended up being another boy, then you have another beautiful boy to add to the clan, if it ended being a girl, then it's just icing on the cake - you can't go wrong either way.

Trust me - I promise you, it WILL get better. I was initially devastated upon finding out that my first two children were boys since all that I had ever wanted since I was a young girl was to be a mom to a pretty baby girl. Feelings change like the wind, because now I couldn't and wouldn't imagine my lives without those two guys - they are my heart and soul. When you are hol...

Don't be sad - your little guy is going to be awesome and your other 2 are going to love being big brothers. I know how much it hurts to want something so badly and have it be just out of reach, but sometimes there is a deeper reasoning behind it all. For instance, if my DS#2 had been a girl, there is no way that I would have ever had another child - But I look at my DS2 and he is th...

Yes, I have sent a Lunchable with the kids to school as an occasional treat, but it has been quite a while since we have done so.
They are a bit pricey and it really is not very much food - It will fill my 3 year old up, but I wouldn't think it would with the older kids.
They also have mini-lunchables with meat, cheese and crackers and maybe a small candy bar that go on s...

Thank you so much [HH]

I had an emergency c section with my first baby, a VBAC with my 2nd and a scheduled c-section with Madelyn. I would have to say the least painful and most fulfilling of the three was the VBAC, at least the recovery was less painful - the contractions hurt like nothing i've felt before, the pushing part was exciting, and the contractions stopped the minute he was born and ...

Im 34 and my oldest bio child is almost 12 - my dh has two kids from his 1st marriage and they are almost 16 and 13 years old. I love the age gap between our 3 oldest kids and the 4 year old. Technically we have 4 kids, but it doesn't feel like it since the 3 older one are pretty much self sufficient, plus they are always a big help with our 4 year old and I am sure they will be a big ...

I am not so convinced that it is a boy - I see what everybody is talking about, with the scrotum and all, but 3D and 4D scans are very distorted and shadowy (look at all of the other parts, like the baby's bottom and you can clearly see how shadowy and jagged it looks and the foot of the baby on the PP's scan looks distorted as well). Look at the PP's 3D scan; it looks like a...
