Yes, I have been there. In the end, I loved having the shared-risk plan because it felt safer and less risky for my family should it not work. I could not stand the thought of all the risk and then walking away with nothing. However, I will say that i paid WAY LESS for my shared risk plan than what you are being offered. I paid $16,800 for THREE fresh cycles with Dr. Lin. Of course I still ha...

Well, I can't say with 100% certainty because my little sweet daughter is still about four weeks from being born, however, we did all the pre-natal testing with her - the whole deal and she passed everything with flying colors...and all 6 ultrasounds that we have had of her from conception through 20 weeks have shown her to be perfect and absolutely healthy! So yes, so far so good...i'll keep you...

I don't fall into that trend at all since I got my BFP in December - one day before Christmas. But, that doesn't mean that it doesn't work, you never know. But I promise that the fall / winter girls can get their good news too!

It sounds more like a nurse who is negative about Gender selection and judgemental about it if anything. I think that she knows very little about what she's talking about. Those cells taken from the embryo (very few are used) are taken at a stage when the embryo is in fact producing more in huge numbers. There are always some risks, but I would not worry too much about this particular conversat...

Yes, my Dh and I did IVF/PGD specifically for gender selection. We have always been fertile, but wanted to add a girl to our family this time around. And yes, you will definitely need to trigger ovulation because after all the stimulation meds, the Dr. will want to time your ovulation perfectly to retrieve the eggs you will need...I would not recommend trying to time anything yourself because yo...

YAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! How exciting...a surprise little gift for you! I'm SO happy for you Pippi...I too have been following your story for a long time and am thrilled that you are pregnant again after all that you have been through. I know that you will be happy at this point with either a little guy or a girl, but you never know, this definitely could be a daughter for you...we'll wait and see. B...

Yes, they do seem to be doing well lately. Last year it didn't seem that the frosties did as well as the fresh, but this year, they are doing very well. I only had two little boys to freeze too. If I had a girl frozen, I would go back for her in a few years for a sister, but unfortunately will not for the boys - at least that is my thinking for now.

Ok, so let me thing back a bit...I'm know that I did have a 5 day transfer, however, i have heard of places doing a 6 day transfer so that the embryos have one more day to reach the blast stage. But it seems to me that the embryos that reach the blast stage by the 5th day are the healthiest ones because they are growing at the pace that they should. So I would ask on that and just make sure that...

I would definitely not wait, especially since age is not on your side. You should go for the IVF/PGD as soon as you can if it's important to you! Good luck!

You're probably going to be ok...your best chance is that all the little ones still have some time to catch up, which means that can probably get 9 in the end. However, don't lose any hope because sometimes they end of getting more than they think that they will. Also, keep in mind that there are lots of girls here who had low follicle count and great success - myself included! I had 6 eggs the...

I don't know if you want this included because I did not do MS, but here goes anyway.
1) IVF/PGD
2) $22,000
3) age 34
4) Two Egg retrievals and one egg transfer - BFP!
5) I don't have a blog or anything, but I'm happy to share my story anytime if you PM me.
6) Dr. James Lin at Reproductive Fertility Center in Irvine, CA (I live 10 minutes away from him)
Good luck!~

I think that your numbers are looking GREAT!! Actually, some web sites will even tell you that the numbers should double every 2 - 3 days and that they tend to slow down as they get higher...so you're in good shape. I imagine that Dr. Lin is very happy with your results! Congratulations!! If you need to do another beta for your anxiety, go for it...he is familiar with that kind of anxiety than...

I am so sorry...that is just devastating news. Is there no way that you can try again? If not, I hope that you can find peace with your family and enjoy those precious daughters!

Are you going high tech? As in IVF/PGD? If so, then no, you don't need to do any swaying...the pgd test results will be 99.9% accurate, so you won't have to worry about a girl diet...it wouldn't make a difference. And you'll know for sure that after 5 boys, you're finally getting your daughter if you get pregnant! It's a nice feeling to be sure from the beginning. The results we've seen from ...

Yes, I too would not be satisfied with this result...you should call them and ask for a re-test STAT!!! Don't they know this wait is already torture!? Geez!

Ok, maybe you are ok with having another boy then? If you really want a girl this time, PGD would be your only way to get that guarantee...but if you're ok with either, then it makes sense to just go for it.

You might also talk with your Dr. about changing your protocol. My Dr. increased my stims during my second round and I produced almost double the stims that I did the first time. I hope that helps....good luck!

I cannot address the vegetarianism since I love a good steak, however, I am also anemic and have always had iron deficiency. It did not affect my ability to get pregnant via high tech, so that should give you some hope. But, I did take supplements and a very powerful prescribed prenatal vitamin. I would definitely recommend that you also get some good protein on a regular basis...hopefully you ...

Nope, that sounds normal to me...that medication didn't both me at all. Now once I got pregnant, the nausea kicked in, but until about 10 weeks pregnant, I felt just fine. Good luck - I hope that this is it for you!

Yes, I would definitely be testing now too...I thought that I would have more discipline, but I did not - I took at least four tests before my beta. And all of them were negative by the way and then my beta at day 12 was positive - go figure!!! I guess if I HAD waited, I could have saved myself all that stress! lol

Do you mean kneeling...with my hands on the ground too? Sorry if this sounds crude, but do you mean "doggy-style" position and that could encourage her to spin?? Just wanted to clarify that position? Thanks!

I would not think so, but taking BCPs the month before should help to regulate your cycle so that you can have some better timing. Good luck!
