You're the best. Seriously.
DC is kind: always puts others first. Smart: Straight A student with little effort. Creative: At only 8 years old has already written a novel. After football practice we race to dance classes and then we come home to practice the piano. In free time DC reads about Egypt and ponificates how the slaves built pyramids. DC is interested in so many things and never get...

Microsort sorts based on weight of sperm. They have a bracket of weights that they use to keep the good and toss the bad. But I question how they can sort by weight and be absolutely sure that the too heavy and the not heavy enough sperm is exactly the same for all people? And then ICSI without the benefit of being able to observe healthy sperm behavior (because thd swimmers are tired) and always ...

Independent adoption where the parents advertise for a baby and a pregnant woman sees the ad then presto! Happy family! There are lawyers and money involved but it's very easy according to our friends that have done it. I'm not sure of the rules because I feel weird asking them about the money part but in the 5 cases I've seen start to end it's speedy! I'm always lurking adoption as that would've ...

Private adoptions are open to everyone. Several of my friends have done that including a couple that is 48 (her) and 52 (him) and a couple where the wife is recently recovering from cancer and they adopted twins. ETA: I'm not sure of the rules for other countries.

At best they are disorganized and inconsistent. At worst they are diligent in collecting data that is favorable to their service and derelict in every other circumstance. Without question or argument this level of scientific collection and reporting nowhere near approaches an acceptable standard. It saddens me that it is a consumer funded trial that profits on one of the deepest desires in humanit...

Just genetics and frequent miscarriages that I know of but I only know 2 women that have cycled there. Patients definitely pay for the technology as they are one of the most expensive clinics in the country.

Don't quote me but I think CCRM almost always does day 5 biopsies (with CGH) and they are super successful. My husband's embryologist friend said that a day 5 with a day 6 transfer is the most ideal but that most clinics do not want to/can't invest in the technology and education necessary because the return on investment is not there (as only a small percent of IVF patients are using PGD (gender...

The thing about GSN is I don't understand the *science* of how or why they are doing what they are doing -- and I'm a very smart girl. (yes, I've read the papers -- I still don't get the DNA amplification stuff -- what they are actually doing in the lab -- and nobody has explained it to my satisfaction). So I can't answer the triple of everything or know that isn't some sophisticated p...

That's so not cool. I mean, I don't expect them to send champagne and cigars to every delivery room but...how can they report data without, well, having the data?

Progressive theories are that cortisol has a negative aging impact on eggs as they come out of dormancy and that is why, according to theory, it takes longer for a same age woman on lots of caffeine to get pregnant than it does for her counterpart who doesn't do caffeine. So nothing that's not reversible by cutting out caffeine.

I'm not sure about other stimulants. But it's a good idea to cut the caffeine as a lifestyle choice. Was your OB worried about your cortisol when you were pregnant?

Wow! What a day! A high quality blast should thaw fine. I know it's hard not to worry, though. This whole process is one worry after another.

Caffeine activates cortisol and cortisol is an aging hormone. Maybe even THE aging hormone. There are only theories but any hormone that can gray your hair overnight and make you gain 15 lbs in a month has to be really bad stuff.

SIRM Dallas but I think most of the SIRM locations have fairly consistent pricing.

I haven't looked at HRC pricing in quite awhile, but if my memory serves correctly, these are prices for multicycle packages NOT the refund program. [/quote] Right. Those are the same prices they quoted me back in January. So it is NOT the refund program, just a multi-cycle package.
