Re: What was your cm like a few days after HSG?

Everything was clear.  [:)]So I guess it caused more ewcm?  That's fine with me.  Any little bit helps I guess.

What was your cm like a few days after HSG?

I had my HSG 2 days ago on CD 8.  Now, on CD 10, my cm looks like brownish ew.  I'm confused whether I'm having ewcm already or if it's affected by the dye.  I usually don't see ewcm until CD 12 or so.

Re: Has anyone had an elevated FSH just after m/c?

Hi Michaela,Thanks for responding.  My doc didn't tell me specific numbers, because he didn't want me to panic.  He told me this right after my hsg and said to do a Day 2 once more and then we'll sit down and talk about details.  Of course I'm sort of panicked anyway and disappointed that I have to wait another cycle.  I do think we'll try this cycle though and see what happens...

How do you afford IVF?

With all the meds and all the steps, most people in my area (NYC) are telling me it's about $20,000 per cycle.  Most of it is not covered, correct?  How does anyone pay for this?

Re: HSG tomorrow :(..Do I need a ride? UPDATE

wow, i hope you have better luck monday.  try to think of it as just another gyn exam.  that's about how it feels at first - a speculum goes in, and then you don't have to worry about the rest.  maybe a pinch here and there.  i'm being honest - i had one just yesterday.

Re: HSG tomorrow :(..Do I need a ride?

you can go by yourself.  mild cramping, not bad at all.  2 advil is enough.

Has anyone had an elevated FSH just after m/c?

I've had two losses now.  One at 8 wks in July.  One at 4.5 wks (chemical) in early Feb.  After having two losses, I went to the RE to get checked out.  They did a Day 2 test last week (first period after chemical preg) and the RE said my FSH seemed slightly elevated but not to worry because the m/c might be affecting it.  He told me to come in again on Day 2 of the next c...

Re: Does anyone have experience with NYU?

Thank you.  [:)] Carolyn, will you be using them?  If so, may I ask which doctor?

Re: Does anyone have experience with NYU?

Thanks for your replies. Will they accept you if you do not need fertility intervention and just want family balancing?  Or will they only do the family balancing part if you're there for fertility help anyway?

Does anyone have experience with NYU?

I'm researching places in the NYC area that do GS, and I'm surprised to see NYU mentioned a few times.  I know they are reputable for IVF, but will they actually let you select for gender as well? Thanks for any info.

Re: BFP today at 15 dpo - very faint though

I didn't sway much this time.  It was my 5th month of TTC after a m/c in July 08.  After a couple of YIs before the m/c, 2 cycles of swaying following resulted in me having BV, so I had to go on antibiotics.  After that, I decided I couldn't douche or replens because my vag was too sensitive.  I just barely kept up my cranberry and calcium supps and did the diet as well as I co...

Thanks ladies. Here's a photo.  I'm still quite nervous because it's so faint.  Calling the doc to see if I can get bloodwork next week.

BFP today at 15 dpo - very faint though

AF was due today, and no sign, so I tested and I got a + !However, it's very faint, so I still feel a little cautious.  You are the first people besides DH that I've told.  [:)]

Re: TTC GIRLY GIRL DEC. 08

Welcome!  I used a 3 day Shettles cutoff in May and conceived, but I lost it in July.  Since then, I've TTC for 3 cycles with a 2-day and O+12 and nothing's happening, so I might BD through O this cycle.  In order to pinpoint when you usually ovulate, you should chart your BBT for a few cycles.  This will let you know if you have a consistent pattern.  Then you...

Re: PLEASE answer--are all the food items in the following ok for ttc girl?

From the acidic side of the spectrum: No peanuts - they increase testosterone. No caffeine - reduces calcium intake. No chocolate - same reason as caffeine. No soda - too much sodium. No potatoes - too much potassium. Did I miss anything?

Re: Before swaying if you took a long time TTC

Thanks for answering ladies.  I know swaying for a girl makes it more difficult to get pregnant.  That's why I was curious about those that took a long time TTC without all the swaying.

Before swaying if you took a long time TTC

Did you have a boy or girl?  Just wondering.I had a one shot wonder boy, and then I had a m/c (pregnancy #2) which was a 1 cycle attempt in May.  Both of my sisters in law had 2 one shot wonders each (all boys).  Now it has been 4 cycles with no pregnancy.  Just wondering if those that had trouble (without swaying) had a tendency toward girls because it seems to make sense that...

Doubles - I hope you're doing better.  How did the ER visit go?TJ - I'm so sorry you're feeling this way.  Praying for you.  Rosa -  I stop cranberry during my 2ww, but I continue with my Cal, Mag and Folic Acid.  I cheat a bit on the diet here and there too - occasional caffeine and meat.  When AF shows her ugly self again, I start on the cranberry and consume NO caf...

Re: TTC GIRLY GIRL DEC. 08

I've been pregnant in the past twice (one ended in m/c) and both occurred on the first try.  He thinks swaying is preventing conception altogether.
