I had my HSG 2 days ago on CD 8. Now, on CD 10, my cm looks like brownish ew. I'm confused whether I'm having ewcm already or if it's affected by the dye. I usually don't see ewcm until CD 12 or so.

Hi Michaela,Thanks for responding. My doc didn't tell me specific numbers, because he didn't want me to panic. He told me this right after my hsg and said to do a Day 2 once more and then we'll sit down and talk about details. Of course I'm sort of panicked anyway and disappointed that I have to wait another cycle. I do think we'll try this cycle though and see what happens...

With all the meds and all the steps, most people in my area (NYC) are telling me it's about $20,000 per cycle. Most of it is not covered, correct? How does anyone pay for this?

wow, i hope you have better luck monday. try to think of it as just another gyn exam. that's about how it feels at first - a speculum goes in, and then you don't have to worry about the rest. maybe a pinch here and there. i'm being honest - i had one just yesterday.

Thanks for your replies.Will they accept you if you do not need fertility intervention and just want family balancing? Or will they only do the family balancing part if you're there for fertility help anyway?

I'm researching places in the NYC area that do GS, and I'm surprised to see NYU mentioned a few times. I know they are reputable for IVF, but will they actually let you select for gender as well?Thanks for any info.

Welcome! I used a 3 day Shettles cutoff in May and conceived, but I lost it in July. Since then, I've TTC for 3 cycles with a 2-day and O+12 and nothing's happening, so I might BD through O this cycle. Thanks for answering ladies. I know swaying for a girl makes it more difficult to get pregnant. That's why I was curious about those that took a long time TTC without all the swaying.
