Re: Do any of you regret any part of your sway?

I analyzed, and analyzed and analyzed my sway shortly after I got pregnant. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it is pretty darn hard if not impossible to have a "perfect" sway. Then shortly before I found out I was having another boy, I let it go because I saw so many oppisates on here and then so many others got what they wanted by doing hardly anything. So, I knew it was out of my hands. I stil...

Re: Gender Swaying... do you feel it really works?

No, I don't think it works. I think it is human nature to want to have some control of our destiny. We want to believe that we have some control in getting our desired gender. But I am glad I swayed (however- I keep going back and forth on this, LOL). I was desperate for a [XX] , and I swayed with my last 2 boys and never got her. But I did everything I felt I could. I can move on and ne...

Re: swayed for a girl

I am so sorry to hear that your sway didn't work. I know it is painful but you tried hard! Congrats on your boy!

Re: Girl (or boy) stash- good idea or bad?

Well, I don't believe in a "jinx"- so I think it is fine in that regard. But, HANDS-DOWN it contributed to my GD. I am a clothing snob (LOL) and I went and had the best time shopping for a little girl. It was fun while it lasted-but it was incredibly painful returning it.

Re: Well...I was doing really good until

Thanks guys for the support!I am happy for them. Even though my brother was a nightmare growing up with he has turned out to be a wonderful man and I adore his wife. I know they really wanted this. I am also really lucky in that my parents don't care what grandchildren they have, they could care less if they have all grandsons. So if this is a princess I know that she won't be more spoiled o...

Well...I was doing really good until

I found out my SIL is pregnant. I am excited for them, it will be my first niece or nephew but I "know" this is THE baby girl-the first grand daughter. I knew it would come sooner or later, but I was hoping my brother and his wife would wait until after my GD baby was born and I could get over it[:$]. Selfish I know. It was very difficult growing up with my obnoxious brothers, and it is...

It is a OWT. Good luck, hope you hear pink[:)]

Re: Anyone got a girl with BD on O?

Hugs...just remember you can do everything right and still get an oppisate. It is all dumb luck. But you still have that 30% chance, so I am sending you pink dust (even though I obviously don't have much to give, LOL).

Re: How did you guys prepare yourselves for the possibility of a boy?

I don't really think that you can prepare yourself[:(].I too went into swaying with the thought of being "ok" with another boy. I thought about all the positives of having three boys, and how I just REALLY wanted a healthy baby. DH told me we could only go for it if I was positively ok with a "boy", and I thought I was.  BUT, I wasn't ok. Frankly, I was devastated. I am pretty ashamed, ...

Re: Not sure where to put this question.... If one sway failed, is it even worth it to try again, or does it pretty much mean I have no chance for a girl? Opinions PLEASE!

I just wanted to add a small apology because I anticipate that swayers probably don't want to read about my bitterness. Sorry. I am not here to rain on anyones parade. I want to help figure out what sways work (if at all) but my bitterness will come out even though I try hard not too show it.

Re: Not sure where to put this question.... If one sway failed, is it even worth it to try again, or does it pretty much mean I have no chance for a girl? Opinions PLEASE!

This part totally cracks me up. I would forget I had those stones in my bra and every once in awhile they would fall out and I would have to come up with some lame excuse on why I had stupid rocks in my bra. Both DH and I got horrible yeast infections from all the douches and replens. And for what? A boy? I might as well have had some fun, LOL.  What I am trying to say is that I totally...

Re: whose sway is included in the spreadsheet?

I think it is anyone who sways. At least I hope so, that way we can get more data on what really works and what doesn't.

Re: swaying for girl after boy(s), only with supplements...

I did calcium, magnesium and LOTS of cranberry for my girl attempt with DS #2. But I went all out with this sway and still ended up with a boy. So I don't think swaying works for me. Good luck!

Re: Anyone BD through O, use other factors, and get a girl?

I know you want to hear "success stories" but that was what I did for DS#2. I BD'd through O (dtd every day to decrease sperm count) and took all the supplements. I got a boy, but I also got a boy #3 with a perfect 0+12, so I just think swaying doesn't work for me.

Re: Nervous about ion stuff and $$$$

Yeah, it does add up. I calculated that I spent over $1,000 between my 2 sways (DS#2 was a girl sway too, LOL). I ordered all my ion stuff from Amazon, and I don't remember it being too bad. It was all the other stuff that added up. Good luck!!

Re: Gender and family make-up... or is it always 50/50?

I think it is all 50/50 and just dumb luck. BUT, having said that, DH's family make a lot of boys, LOL. My family: G (me) B B DH's family: B (him), B, B FIL family: G, B, G, B, B (him) MIL: G (her) B Mom: G, G(her), G, G Dad: G, B, B (him), G

Re: How many of you girls have gotten pregnant using a small blob of acijel 5 mins after BD and also using before

Dont they say that lowering your PH to much will cause your body try and balance itself. Sometimes it over compensates and sends your PH through the alkaline roof... Thats what i read somewhere if you use one you cant use the other or something like that. I am sorry you got an opposite.[/quote] Yes, using too much will cause the body to overcompensate. To clarify I used replens every ...

Re: Can't decide whether to go high tech or not... your reasons?

LOL-this was me too.I actually was ready to go through with high tech and then chickened out. I thought- with high tech I had a 50/50 chance of getting pregnant and 100% with a girl. But if I swayed-I had nearly a 100% chance of getting pregnant and 50/50 for a girl (then up it more with swaying), all for free. DH was opposed to it for moral reasons, and not because of the leftover embr...

Congrats on you pregnancy! I used replens, rephresh AND a douche before and after sex. Got pregnant the first month, but with an opposite.

Re: Exercise/lose weight for TTC Girl

I lost 20lbs in 3 months on the girl diet and aerobics 5 days a week. I was trying to "starve" my body into thinking there was a mass famine and I needed a girl to survive, LOL. I thought it was a great theory.  Didn't work-but I enjoyed being 20lbs lighter, LOL[:-)]

Re: Lime v Vinegar 4 TTC a girl

I did store bought vinegar before sex, and every 30 minutes for 4 hours after sex. Then I did the lime tampon. But since I had an opposite, I would go for the lime.

Re: afraid to find out the gender? update w/POLL!! :)

I found out at the ultrasound. And I am so glad I did.I didn't think I would mind another boy, but I was CRUSHED. I was completely unprepared for my reaction, and I am so glad I fell apart after the ultrasound and not at his birth.I am doing much better, but I do not want to hear any comments from friends and family. So I decided to keep it a surprise. I do think that many of them already "k...
