Re: Hollie86

Oh you didn't offend me at all! I think it's crazy that it's illegal over here and I'd consider myself pro life in many ways. But there was a case in the republic a few years ago where there was a 13 year old girl pregnant with her own fathers baby after years of rape abuse & torture. She was a child herself, a scared child but it was still illegal for her to have an abortion. Crazy stuff. Then ag...

Re: An EGD tv show I can't get off my mind

When I was younger a lady from my home town who worked in the local supermarket had a baby boy. She used to say how she wanted a girl and everyone knew she wasn't happy when she had a boy. When the baby was 4 weeks old she killed him and buried him and went straight to the police and turned herself in. She was diagnosed with post natal depression and sentenced to time in a psychiatric hospital rat...

Hollie86

I'm replying to your comment here because the other thread is locked. I come from the Republic of Ireland where, as you know, abortion is illegal at any stage of the pregnancy. I now live in Northern Ireland which is the UK but abortion is still illegal here, people travel to England usually to have it done. Hope this clears it up for you.

Re: Sodium Consumption and Exercise?

Yes when I was doing my sway I was running a lot and when I had been on the diet for about 10 weeks I fainted and had to have bloods taken at doctors. They told me I was extremely low in sodium & potassium & advised me to salt my food & eat lots of bananas & potatoes. I decided to stay on diet for 1 more try & lucky for me I fell pregnant with my girl. Not sure I could've done the diet for much lo...

Re: abortion

Well said! Its really good to see a person who is pro-life to look at things from an objective point of view. I would say that I am pro-life in that I don't think I could ever have an abortion myself. However, I am in a committed relationship with a supportive partner and we are comfortable financially. I can totally appreciate how others might be in a totally different place to me. I come fro...

Re: Tamara...REALLY need you to look this over

Are you taking Vitex? This sounds very like the cycle I had when I was on this, it delayed my cycle so much I only ovulated on cd28 and I had a few false opk+ and also bloody discharge

Re: Why? Why try again and risk these feelings again?

I have seen your posts and wanted to reply a few times. I didn't reply because I didn't think it would make a difference to you because you & your wife didn't want another pregnancy. However, I now see that your wife wants another baby so I feel I should reply! So here goes - I think you are wrong in assuming that just because there hasn't been a male born in your family for 22 years that thi...

Re: Anyone have all boys and also not have any brothers? are you trying to figure all this boy stuff out?

Here's my sway: http://www.ingender.com/cs/forums/t/228812.aspx I also took 80mg baby aspirin every day, forgot to put that in my sway.

Re: 20 week scan

Hi there! I was in your exact position just a few weeks ago! I'm 27 weeks pregnant now and it's a little girl. I have a 4 yr old & a 2 yr old boy already. Right up until the scan had already started, like you I knew I'd be disappointed if it wasn't a girl. I was sure once I had the baby in my arms I wouldn't care one way or another but 20 weeks pregnant staring at a screen in an ultrasound room is...

Re: Anyone have all boys and also not have any brothers? are you trying to figure all this boy stuff out?

Meeee! Not only do I have no brothers but I have no uncles (on either side!), no grand uncles and no male first cousins! My mother is one of 7 girls, my grandmother one of 9 girls, my Dad & both Granddads were only sons! Even our dog was a girl! So when I had my ds1 there was widespread shock in the family (plus LOTS of excitement as you can imagine!) When I was pregnant with ds2 everyone said it ...

Re: Bump! NOBODY has any advice for me? Really??? Oh no!!! Need help right away!

Both my boys were conceived by accident with 5 day cut offs. I don't really know that timing works all that well, maybe if you could pinpoint ovulation to the degree that is needed for 0+12. What I did this time was BD everyday from end of AF to a few days after I was sure I ovulated. Sometimes twice a day! And it was a really long cycle due to Vitex, I didn't ovulate till cd28! I'm expecting a g...

Re: Interesting article about women who favour girls to the extreme...

I know people like this and it drives me mad! I can completely understand somebody wanting a girl after having had a boy or boys but really gets to me when I see these women who either are on their first and desperately want a girl or they already have a girl/girls and desperately want another! Its silly really because kids are kids despite what sex. I have a friend with 3 girls and they are much ...

Re: So confused! Swaying for a girl and the girl diet contradicts the pH diet

The PH thing isn't proven as far as I know. However, low sodium, low potassium, high calcium, high magnesium have been shown to produce many more females vs males in cattle!!! I think the low sodium thing is one of the most important things you can do on your sway. I am terrible for salt and found it the single hardest thing to give up on the girl diet. So much so that I stuck to porridge made on ...

Re: Is the Girl Diet the Anti-Fertility Diet?

Yeah, you can change the PH of your vagina & cervix with douching and acijel but I'm convinced that this isn't really the area that matters. Once the sperm get past the cervix they have a long way to go to reach the fallopian tube. No amount of acijel/lime juice can change you PH up here! Also, the main reason o+12 is thought to be successful is precisely because your natural PH is lowest a...

Re: Is the Girl Diet the Anti-Fertility Diet?

It took me 6 months of trying hard to conceive on the girl diet. I know this doesn't sound like a long time compared to how long others have TTC but with my 2 boys I got pregnant without even trying. I was totally unprepared for this and I wasn't doing any douching or cut offs I was just doing the IG girl diet and supplements.

Re: for those with baby girls.. how strict were you with your diet?

Low sodium is one of the biggest things with swaying for a girl in my opinion. When I conceived my girl my sodium was so low that I was fainting and the doctor did blood tests and told me that my sodium was dangerously low and that I needed to salt my food! Even my 12 week bloods came back low in sodium. When I conceived my boys I would have been having lots of salt. You don't realise how much sal...

Re: for those with baby girls.. how strict were you with your diet?

Are you in the US? I am in the UK and the beef over here doesn't contain all the hormones that US/South American beef does. Growth hormones for cattle are strictly forbidden over here. I ate beef while TTC pink, it really filled me up and it was quite acidic - it lowered my PH. However, I only ate British/Irish beef, I would even check in restaurants and if it was not Irish/British beef I'd just o...

Re: Aspirin?

It helps with implantation because it's a blood thinner ie reduces the bloods ability to clot. This aids implantation. It sways pink because it's very acidic, it really lowers your ph.

Re: My husband is stuck in the dark ages!

Oh my god! My ds2 has a dolls house & he & his older brother play with it all the time! They also have a kitchen. Jesus. Tell him to cop on!

Re: Aspirin?

Aspirin can be used to reduced fever, pain & swelling. It's just a different drug & it works in a different way but it does the same thing as paracetamol except it also reduces the clotting ability of blood.

Re: Girl diet

I'll ask him about Aussie beef but as far as I know the regulations aren't as loose there as they are in Brazil/US. More hormones makes for tender beef which is why you get the big succulent Brazilian steaks but full of growth hormone. One thing is that over here you get lots of grass fed cattle which is also good for swaying pink but I would imagine Aussie beef is grain fed in the main? How ye...

Re: Aspirin?

No Aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid it's sold over here as Anadin. Paracetol is a completely different drug (acetaminophen) and I believe this is the main ingredient in Tylenol though we don't get that over here. Baby aspirin is just a lower dose, typically 80mgs vs 300mgs which would be the adult dose. Larger doses of aspirin aren't recommend over long periods of time as it can cause stomach probl...
