Re: Rotavirus Vaccine?

DS2 just got his, and no symptoms. His pedi. told us it's a live virus, but not full strength .. it's lab grown so they can modify how potent it is, ans they just make it strong enough for the body to get immunity (meaning it actually attacks your baby's immune system, enough for them to get a fever to get the immunity) .. I would never NOT get vaccinations for my kids .. honestly, the way schoo...

Re: Is your 2 month old *update*

Well, since this post Drew is now sleeping "through the night" at 8+ hrs. a night. He's also cutting teeth I believe so some nights that wakes him once or twice. I even took him off the rice after I posted this, just to see if it was making a difference, and it wasn't so I stopped giving it to him .. chubby babies are cute and all, but I want him to be healthy .. not doom him from the beginning wi...

Talking baby ..

DS2 will be 10 weeks old tomorrow and for about 2 weeks he's been laughing .. out loud, and smiling, as well as doing the famous "AH GOO" sounds .. Just had to share! anybody have similar stories they'd like to share - I'd love to hear them.

Re: First Smile....

Drew started about 3 weeks ago ... so at 6 weeks I guess. Now, you can just talk to him and he's smiles and squeals in delight .... It's GREAT!!

Re: Another Co-sleeping Poll.....

DS 1 shared a room with us until 14 months (his crib was in a corner of our room) then we moved him into the room across the hall. DS2 we plan to let him stay in the bassinet until around 4 months.

Re: Turbo Jammin!!

the 20 min. workout is pretty intense, esp. toward the end [Y] What is the average weight loss, and how long does it typically take? I knwo everybody differs but I just need some comparisons before I lose motivation ... again.

Re: Turbo Jammin!!
Is that the same one with the Turbo Sculpt?  I used to do that one with 8lb weights in each hand, and it was a pretty good workout.  I want to try the 30 day shred - I've heard good things about that.  My goal weight is 115, and I'm at 125 - the last 10 pounds are killer!
Not sure. It's a 2 disc set with like 5 workouts on there. We are st...

Turbo Jammin!!

my DVD finally showed up Saturday and DH and I started .. Honestly it's not as intense as the '30 Day Shred' I was doing before, and I'm worried I might re-gain the 5 little pounds I've lost .. my goal weight is 105-110, and I'm still at 135-ish ... anybody use Turbo Jam and get results, and if so how long did it take you???

Re: which is worse? for moms who have delivered vaginally
I want to know... I dont want an answer like "contractions are worse because you have them for eight hours" or whatever lol your worst contraction or crowning - which hurts more? I think I can handle contractions. I dont think I can handle the burning and stinging of passing a baby vaginally! I am a tiny girl! [Please visit the original post to access the poll] ...

Re: Menstrual like cramps and lower backache??

I thought mine was 'false labor' since they weren't that painful .. by the time I got to the hospital I was 6 cm. dialated!! I'd start timing. If you've lost your plug, or are bleeding at all I'd call your OB also.

Re: Why do they diagnose gestation diabletes so late?
I don't understand.  If I had GD, wouldn't you think that they would test you earlier than 28 weeks to diagnose you so you can have a "healthier pregnancy"... not go 2/3rds the way through and then try to fix it at the end. My test is on Tuesday, so annoying.  To make sure I pass, I'm going to load up on protein for lunch, appt at 4:30 and they say not ...

Re: breast pumps

OMG!! how awesome would that be?! Mine had me confined to 1 room for an hr. plus sometimes!!! I HATED the experience.

Re: How are all the July babies doing?!?

We are doing well also. Hard to believe Drew is 9 weeks already!! I'm curious how many of us 'predicted' the due dates close to when it happened ..

Re: Is your 2 month old

Thanks for all the great advice guys. My 1st son slept through the night (8+ hrs.) at birth, so this time I was not used to him getting up every 2 hrs. so I called the pedi. and she said to put rice in the last bottle of the night (1 tablespoon) .. it's not a really thick consistemcy, but enough to where I can feel it when he sucks coming through the nipple. He's not on a set schedule yet, but the...

Re: Is your 2 month old

I put rice in the 8:30 bottle, so he's usually OUT right after LOL. then wakes only once through the night at 1:30 - 2:00 a.m. and again at around 5:00 a.m. but I'm already up by then. Never had these issues with my first!

Is your 2 month old *UPDATE ON PAGE 2*

sleeping through the night yet? my son doesn't have a set schedule, but he still gets up around the same time vevery night. His pediatrician suggested we try rice in the bottle at 3 weeks! his last bottle before bed is about 8:30 - 9:00 p.m. and he's up at 1:30 - 2:00 a.m. - is that normal? what can I do to make him sleep longer? I've tried shortening his naps during the day, but it makes him extr...

Re: How do I post several pictures at once?
Feary is right, it is not part of the regular post form to add multiple photos.  You can: Just keep adding replies to your original post with more pics
Maureen, when I do this it only allows me to "reply" once then says repeat replies are not allowed (even though it's a different picture) - I've even tried changing the text, or adding more text.......

I voted MOOGS (Moms Of One Gender), simply because the name fits (IMO). Hope this one wins.
