Re: urine ph? This predictor was right for me.

Good idea!  After reading through the other poll it seems that there were mixed results so let's hope our new poll will bring clearer answers.  On a positive note my ph has been back down to 5.8 these past two mornings!  Does it increase throughout the day though, as it was up to 7 last night? Thanks again for doing the poll charlottelou x

Re: urine ph? This predictor was right for me.

Mine change honey - the top goes a slightly darker yellow / peachey colour and the bottom goes a pale lime green. No worries - if we're gonna do another one, let's decide what options we're going to put in. I would suggest the following: *ph 6.0 or under and had girl *ph 6.0 or under and had boy *ph 6.1 - 6.9 and had girl *ph 6.1 - 6.9 and had boy *ph 7.0 and over and had girl...

Re: urine ph? This predictor was right for me.

I'd be interested for another one to be done.  But can we include a question of the ph being 'up to 7' because I'm getting readings between 6.5 and 6.8 so not sure where I fit in!! Also can you ask whether it was done with a digital or strips cos my readings look different. Charlottelou...do your ph strips change colour at all or do they mainly stay yellow?  Just interested. Than...

I think the first pic looks [XX] and the second pic looks [XY]  !!  Difficult one.

Re: Did anyone have no symtoms and have a girl?

I'm coming up to 6 weeks and don't have many symptoms either.  I was the same with ds though which makes me think this is another boy. I actually want to have a little morning sickness so it's different to my first pg (I know I'm weird!).  Although saying that my friend's 2nd pregnancy was completely different to her first, she was so sick she was sure she was having a little girl, but t...

Re: ph strips vs. Intelligender/Best Baby

Good idea charlottelou!  I'd be interested to see what the responses are.  I'm extremely miffed as I don't know which reading to believe - my strips or my digital!  My strips show it to be lower [:^)]

Re: The whole urine ph thing is freaking me out!!!!!!

I did it again this morning and on my ph strips it looked like 5.75 but my digital tester said 6.45. I think the antibiotics might have made me acidic so looks like I'm in the boy zone.

Re: ph strips vs. Intelligender/Best Baby

Well my ph strips read different to my digital tester. Strips look more like 5.75 whereas digital tester says 6.45! I definitely think urine ph depends on diet as I tested at different times of day yesterday and it varied between 6.5 to 5.4. Well that's what I'm telling myself anyway cos I don't like the reading on my digital tester!!!

For those with one of each gender

..were your symptoms totally different and if so, when did they 'kick in'.  At the moment I feel exactly the same as I did with ds.  No sickness, just achy pelvis (in my right hand side which prob means implantation on the right - boy) and sore nipples.  My mum had 2 girls and she had no sickness at all and my dh's mum had one of each and she said she felt pretty much the same. ...

Re: Feeling really fed up today :(

Thank you hun. I think you are in with a very good shot of getting your girl, timing is the least swaying factor.  I think I messed up on timing too but I didn't stick to the diet.  It's a difficult one as we only dtd twice and the first time we did TBM, the second time was natural with follow-up douche so I'm thinking I prob got pg from the second bd...and I have a feeling it could've b...

Re: The whole urine ph thing is freaking me out!!!!!!

I really hope so hun!  What makes you say that as I'm still very early pg? The only thing is that I have been taking some antibiotics for a throat infection so perhaps these made my urine more acidic when it's really alkaline.

Feeling really fed up today :(

II feeling really down about this pregnancy and I'm only 5 weeks.  Some of it has to do with what I read on here (I love in-gender so won't stop coming on and reading things and being part of it!)  For example, the whole urine ph thing is freaking me out!  I tested my ph a few days ago and it was 5.7 which was great but then last night I tested and again this morning and it was 6.8 ...

anyone?!

The whole urine ph thing is freaking me out!!!!!!

So now I'm testing my urine ph on a morning and I'm getting different readings!   For the first few days I did it, it was around 5.7.  I did it yesterday evening and it was 6.5 so I tested again this morning and it was 6.8!  I've just done it again (had to pee on the strip as I'm at work so don't have a container with me!!) but it was very acidic, looked like a 5.0 as it stayed...

Re: ph strips vs. Intelligender/Best Baby

So now I'm super confused! I tested ph this morning and it was 5.6, just tested in the evening and it's 6.5!!!! Not impressed! Will be testing again in morning but why a big difference?! Should it be the same all day? I was getting my hopes up too!

25 Jul 2010 10:38 PM

Anyone not really having many pg symptoms?

Apart from a little tiredness, sore nipples and achy pelvis, I feel ok.  No feeling of sickness at all.  So I think this is prob boy 2 as I felt the same with ds.  I know it's still early days but I guess I kinda think I'll feel different if it's a girl.  One good thing is my urine ph is 5.7 but this seems to be an OWT.

Re: urine ph? This predictor was right for me.

Do you have to wait til 6wks pg to get an accurate ph? I've been testing for past couple of days and it's 5.7, no idea what it was before pg though. I'm hoping it doesn't start getting higher in the next week or so!!

Re: urine ph? This predictor was right for me.

Oh I really hope so!!  Sounds like our uring ph is pretty similar.  What strips are you using?  I can't remember the name of mine but they've just got a yellow felt indicator at the bottom that you dip.  How are you feeling?  The pain in my right side has eased a little, I went to bed with a hot water bottle last night which helped.  A teeny sickly feeling ...

Re: urine ph? This predictor was right for me.

Are you all using ph strips or digital testers?  I tested mine this morning and it was 5.7 with the digital and looked to be 5.5 with the strip (it was still quite yellow).  Oh please god I hope this rings true for me and I get my little girl!!  [pray] I'll be pee'ing in a cup now for the next couple of weeks to see if the ph stays low!!  [rofl]

Re: A question to mums of girls please?

I'm not sure if it's too early for sciatica? I'm only 5wks so I thought it might be where the egg has implanted. But according to Ramzi implantation on the right is more likely to result in males.

22 Jul 2010 6:43 AM

A question to mums of girls please?

Did any of you suffer from right handed pain but still have a dd? Freaking out about Ramzi theory! I've had right handed groin pain and all down my leg for a few days now.

Re: Pain in lower right abdomen and achy leg....please help...worried!

I didn't have it during pregnancy but I get it a lot now when I'm tired, feels like I want to chop my entire leg off as I don't know what to do with it [rofl] I only had heartburn in the last couple of months with ds, I remember the Gaviscon well!! I've noticed that I've had it slightly after I've eaten in the past few days, although I'm not sure whether I'm just imagining it as I'm praying th...

Re: Pain in lower right abdomen and achy leg....please help...worried!

Thanks for replying hun, it's just so worrying!  I remember having pains in my right with ds at the same time (which makes me think this is boy no. 2!, especially as it's on the right and not left!) but not as bad as this.  My leg feels so restless and I could hardly sleep last night.  Will see what it's like over next couple of days then go to GP xxx

Pain in right lower abdomen and achy leg...please help, a little worried!

I have a pain in my lower right abdomen, like someone is sticking a hot poker in me and my right leg is incredibly achy.  Worrying about ectopic pregnancy.  Is anyone else suffering/or did suffer from anything similar in early pregnancy?
