Re: Jumping in...

I wouldn't have done high tech either way, but I've got two more girls coming after a girl and I'm soooo disappointed that I won't ever have a son.  My husband is too but he's trying to be helpful.  I've been praying that at the 20 week scan next week they say they got it wrong with one, but it's highly unlikely.  We didn't expect twins so to have our dream of a boy taken down that ...

Re: Would you trust it?

Bumping for hopefully the opinion of a tech on whether I should feel confident or not.

Re: Would you trust it?

Bumping again because the more I look at the picture of Baby A the more the 3 dots make me think it's a boy.  I just really want to know for sure...

Re: Anybody out there who can identify?

I can completely identify with you!  I am still waiting on gender confirmation of my twins because the angles weren't great at the 16 week ultrasound but they really did look like girls.  I have a beautiful and awesome little girl already and wouldn't mind having 20 of her!  However, there is disappointment in not having a son because we are done after this also.  It's hard to ...

Re: Would you trust it?

Here's Baby B who was my gymnast with her feet over her head (I'm assuming the girl determination was right for now) and I don't think there are any gender clues.  I'm going to have to ask for photos of the gender next month.

Re: Would you trust it?

This is the closest thing to a gender shot they printed me.  It's Baby A who I'm pretty sure is a girl from the nub shot and the peek we got at the toilet shot.

Saw on Discovery Health this morning...

A woman who was ahving her 8th child and got her first son after 7 girls.  She said it was going to be their last either way and they were very excited to finally have a son. Just thought I'd share since I know some of you are going to keep trying and would like to hear that having one gender doesn't necessarily mean you will ONLY ever have that gender.  We are done after this, so in ou...

Re: Not how I expected it to be...

Thank you for your response, this is such a roller coaster of emotions!  There is no chance for a #4 unless DH decides to agree to adopt later on in life, he only wanted 2 children ever.  He was ok with trying for a third if the first two were girls but since all 3 are probably girls he is done.  :(

Would you trust it? UPDATED WITH PHOTOS!

Unfortunately the woman took NO photos of our gender determination of the twins at 16 weeks.  We go again at 20 weeks and if I have a different person I plan on asking for a gender determination while giving no clue that one was already made.  However, Baby A (the one 100% said girl) definitely looked like a girl to me from the front view and we caught good glimpses from the back.  ...

Not how I expected it to be...

I am pregnant for the second time and at 7.5 weeks along a routine dating ultrasound showed twins!  I was praying for a boy for at least one of them.  My DH is an only son of an only son of an only son.  There are other branches of the family that are carrying on the name but we are the end of this branch. My 16 week ultrasound indicated girls and I immediately took the advice I th...

Re: He says he's done...

Maybe you can just ask for a compromise?  Maybe get an IUD put in for now so that you know you are covered and give him more time to grieve and figure things out.  If he truly doesn't want another child then you will know eventually, but if he does he hasn't done something to permanently keep that from happening. I'm so sorry for your loss.  I am going for monthly ultrasounds for t...

Re: I felt one!

I haven't felt much in a couple of days but I can tell from where I felt things that baby A will be a gymnast and baby B a boxer.  LOL!  As a 2nd degree black belt who trains with the people who do the flippy tricks (not me though!) maybe they'll just enjoy the best of both worlds?

Re: So-called friend...

[quote user="Rebel_SoccerMamma"] Ok, so she has GD and is using you to make herself feel better.  The thing is, most people don't know what GD is, there is no label for it, they just have these feelings they can't really identify or admit to.  It's not accepted or even well-known in mainstream society so it's just a catty low-blow to make herself feel better.  Direct her h...

Re: Stranger's nasty comments about having girls....

I don't post here too often, but I had to reply to this one.  Everyone keeps asking if I'm hoping my twins are boys, and honestly I am.  However, my little girl is one of the most awesome, funny kids I've ever met.  I know it's because she has my husband's personality of being laid back and just go with the flow.  Obviously, she has her issues and things she fights us on becaus...

I felt one!

I felt a baby move!  It was like a few little knocks on the side.  I know the difference between gas, the wiggles (early movements, felt those last week) and kicks.  I felt a few little nudges!  I think I'm excited for the first time since finding out I was having twins, because the excitement from first movements can cancel out the nerves.  Yay!!!!! Just had to share.&nb...

Re: Twin Nursing Pillows?

Pulling up an old thread to comment that I'm going to get the EZ-2-Nurse pillow because it has a concave design.  I am extremely large chested (I'm just under 4'10" and I'm an I cup while nursing) and I need to hold my breasts.  The shape of it should keep me from needing to hold the babies as well since they won't be able to roll.  Once they can they will have a good latch.

Re: best double strollers for twins

I got a used (but not used, even the wheels were clean and scratch free) Gracco DuoGlider last weekend.  I love that stroller, especially because the basket is big enough to stick an umbrella stroller into so if we're out with DD and she gets tired of walking we can take that out and one of us can push her.  My friend with twins offered me her double snap and go for the beginning so I'm...

Re: Who's all Knocked up with Twins Currently?

I'm 14 weeks along with twins.. umm, babies!  LOL - I'll know the sexes for sure hopefully at 16 weeks, so soon!  The u/s tech thought boy/?? and the doctor thought girl/girl.  I'm hoping at least one is a boy, the one the tech thought was a boy had all girl guesses on here.  We'll see I guess!  I have a two year old daughter and we are DONE after this, lol!  No...

Re: so glad i'm the only one due in april not getting my DG!

You know, at least you can say you tried SOMETHING to give yourself your DG.  I looked up the research for how to have a boy (I have a DD) because my husband only wanted 2 children.  He said 3 ONLY if the second was a girl so we could try for a boy.  Well, we decided to throw it all out the window because we could always try again for a girl and circumstances in our life made it tha...

Re: Anyone have good betas then bad u/s?

Ok, I just popped in here out of curiosity because I didn't do any HT for the twins I'm carrying.  I just saw this and wanted to comfort you that my entire first trimester my only symptoms were being tired and sore boobs.  I didn't get nauseous unless I forgot to eat or drink in the heat.  I even walked 35 out of 60 miles of the Breast Cancer 3 Day a few weeks ago at 12 we...

Re: Just found out Baby #3 is going to be boy #3 - I am glad I am not alone in my feelings.

This is my first time posting in this forum also, and the sad thing is that since my twins are guessed to be girls I was just thinking I would trade you a girl for a boy.  LOL - if only it could work like that, but it shouldn't...  I'm finding out in 2 weeks (or should be) and having trouble dealing with the fact that I might be the mother of 3 girls and no boys.  However, once we ...

Re: Twin Nub Shots 12 weeks 2 days - Guesses???

Just thought I'd bump one more time.  LOL - it's not like the guesses change the outcome, I'm just REALLY curious!
