Re: Would you try again?

I'm sorry to hear of your losses. I just wanted to share my friends story, she is almost 40 and last year she had 3 miscarriages inbetween 7 and 13 weeks. She tried again and now has a beautiful baby girl after having 2 boys and her dh has 2 boys. Goodluck.

Re: Thyroid and TTC A Girl...

I have hypothyroidism and 5 boys although I was only diagnosed 2 yrs ago before getting pregnant with last ds.  I think this was stopping me from becoming pregnant as I was ttc for 2 yrs, then I started taking armour thyroid and few months later became pregnant.  My levels are high again 13, I'm now taking 60 mg of armour, also my vitamin D levels are really low so now taking 2000 iu per...

Insanity DVD

Anyone tried the insanity dvd?  I just ordered it and could do with losing 50+lbs.  Hoping to be hot or hotter by the time I turn 40 in October.

Re: Homeopathic or holistic medicine for ADD or ADHD?

My son takes chewable probiotics and enzymes (trienza) daily and this helps him be calmer, not as bouncy.

Re: Has anyone ever thought of having a psychic reading with their IVF?

I had a reading with Sylvia Browne years ago and she told me I wouldn't have any more children.  I had my 5th ds a few years later.  She also told me I would be a millionaire with my own Holistic center, still waiting for this to happen.

Re: Anyone have their baby at 36 weeks?

My first ds was born at 36 weeks, he weighed 5lbs 14oz.  I didn't breastfeed.  He had jaundice and needed oxygen and came home 12 days later.  He is 21 now.  My 5th ds was also born at 36 weeks as my waters broke, he weighed 6lbs 10oz, he needed oxygen and antibiotics for pnuemonia and he stayed in the NICU for 18 days.  Breastfeeding was a struggle, he could barely keep a...

Re: Chances of 4 boys in a row?

I also have 5 boys, my oldest is 21 yrs and my youngest is 13 months.  I eat everything from the boy diet, if we try again I will change that.

Re: Thyroid/hormones effect on swaying

I think the coQ10 helps strengthen the egg but sways boy.  The infertility section has lots of suggestions for improving egg quality.

Re: Thyroid/hormones effect on swaying

I started taking my thyroid meds about 5 months before I got pregnant.  The last couple of months I started B6 and coQ10 which I think helped me get pregnant.

Re: Thyroid/hormones effect on swaying

I am currently taking armour thyroid for hypothyroidism.  It took me 2 years to get pregnant with my last ds.  I needed this medication to get my TSH levels back to normal.

Re: 4 Boys

I have 5 boys.  I didn't really sway with any of them, our last one took two years to conceive because of this I'm worried if I sway I'll never get pregnant and I'm almost 40.  I hope to convince dh to try again soon.  I'm going to start the diet, maybe try sylk lube and learn more about biorythms.  I mostly eat everything from the boy diet so that has to change.

Re: My EDD is closer and I fear of SIDS is kicking in again...

Having a fan in the babies room is supposed to help reduce the risk of sids according to this study by Kaiser: http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2008-10-06-SIDS-fans_N.htm I always have a fan on when my ds is sleeping as he has 4 noisy big brothers.

Re: First time flying with a toddler

Has anyone done a 10 hour flight with a 13 month old?  I want to visit my family in England this summer.  I've been putting it off as I'll be going alone and I don't know if I can cope as I'll probably have ds sitting on my lap the whole time.

Re: Is anyone using Conscious Discipline?

Interesting, I might buy the book after I've finished my potty training boys book.  I was just given advice by a psychiatrist friend about not saying NO to my 13 month old otherwise when he turns 2 that's all he will say, instead I should redirect him and say lets play with this toy or lets do this instead.

Re: biorhythms

This is all very interesting.  I have 5 boys and hope to convince dh to try again soon.  To check if this is correct for my boys do I need to remember the exact date they were conceived?   To use this for future purposes would I want to choose days where the emotional is the highest/positive and the physical is the lowest?  Do I need to be concerned about what the intellec...

Re: My 1 hr Refrigerator vs Incubator SU (a total bust)

I am really enjoying reading your experiments, the rm method sounds so much easier than su.  I was wondering about magnets as well.  If you put your shot glass on top of a magnet would that help attract more x sperm ?   Fascinating experiments, thank you for all your hard work.

Re: If you tried a baby for a long time (without swaying) was it a girl or boy?

It took me 2 years to get pregnant with 5th ds.

Re: Ages and having babies

I am 38 (39 next month).  My oldest ds is 21yrs old, born when I was 17. My youngest 5th ds was born in January of this year, he's now 8 months.  I would still love a girl if I can persuade dh.

Re: How many children have you got of the same gender??

I have 5 ds, no swaying.  I would love another one but don't think dh is interested.  I would like to do su/tbm but the last ds took 2 years to conceive, so would probably be too hard to get a bfp that way but doesn't stop me dreaming about it.

Re: Am I too old to have another baby?

Your definately not too old.  I was 38 when my ds was born 8 months ago.  I would love to have another and I'll be 39 next month and the last one took 2 years to conceive.  My oldest ds is 21.  My 15 yr old ds has been asked a few time if his baby brother is his when he pushes his stroller around while I'm getting my hair cut lol, he is tall though.
