Love the post and all the responses! Very beautiful and I think it's so nice that some people out there in RL can be sweet about our family's makeups instead of rude about them!
Dreaming, your boys are such heartbreakers!! Can't wait to see how adorable number 4 boy is going to be! Precious, I'm sure!!!

I had a lot of the same thoughts/feelings when pregnant with DS2. We didn't have his name picked out till a few days before his birth, I wasn't even very excited about it. (I did however love my DS1's name and that helped the bond during pregnancy.) I was just curious about what he'd look like...I was expecting a clone of DS1 looks-wise, etc. I kept thinking "if only this had been my girl...it wou...

I had a ton of dreams before I found out I was having a girl. Some she was a girl, and others it was a baby boy. Some dreams I was OK with having a boy, and others I was troubled by having another boy (which worried me because I really thought i had gotten to a good place where if I had heard boy again I would have been fine). I did have more girl dreams overall than boy dreams, and in all my drea...

After I was already pregnant this time, I had dreams of both the baby being a boy or a girl. The girl dreams I was always super worried and kept checking to make the gender was really a "girl" ...my boy dreams I felt really sad about having another boy. I just chalked up the dreams to my mind trying to run through scenarios, and trying to help me move through some of my feelings. Because deep down...

I have both my ovaries and it was confirmed by ultrasound that I ovulated from my right and she is all girl. (Though I did have o pains on my left!)
I think this theory has some basis to it, but it is far from 100% correct, because if it was 100% correct, then I should be having boy 3, instead of my first DD.

babybleux, this is so beautiful! Thank you! When preg. with DS1, I could just not imagine taking care of a boy. I didn't want to deal with boy stuff, etc, I had only pictured having girls! Then he was born, and he was so handsome, I of course fell in love with him.But as he grew older, I saw so much of myself in him, that he really healed me and my pre-concieved notions about what 'having a boy' w...

Sad Dad,
I have always respected that you as a man would come on here and post. So, I'm glad you're still here with us :) When planning my sway, I was crazily checking out siggys for something similiar to what I was hoping for--I was always checking to see how many BB ended with a G on the end, which is what I wanted. It was very encouraging to see those two blues and then the pink.
My husband ...

Beadin, amazing words as always!
Cilantro, I popped on to see if you knew yet, and I can't say half as eloquently what many posters said, but I know you will love this little man with all your heart, and once he is born and he grows up some, you will understand the reason why he chose you to be his mommy. [HH]

Love this post. Very true and inspiration.
My two sons could not be more different as babies (2nd son is only 15 months) but does he really show his fiesty attitude! He is take charge, very smart, speaking words really well already, where DS1 is more of a momma's boy (so sweet, helpful, and loves to help us cook)...they are both boys, but very different.
I have a girl due in Sept and am just g...

my brother was the only boy in our family. He was the 3rd child, so he had my two older sisters, and when I came along, he was 7 and wanted a brother badly. We get along great though, and we are still the closest to each other than the other siblings. But he does have fond memories of our two older sisters giving him lots of attention. They apparently loved having a baby brother!

I swayed girl and I am having a girl coming in Sept. I do believe swaying can help, but is far, far from 100% or even close to that.

My 4 year old son always hugs me and says to me, "Mommy, you are my very best friend."
He is going to be a romancer when he grows up, with all the sweet, thoughtful loving things he always says!

I love the name you have chosen! It is so perfect!! Micah Curtis Witt...and I just love that you are honoring your father with the middle name!
DS2's middle name is Thomas and it was an honor to my Dad who had ELEVEN grandsons before DS2 was born, and he was number 12 grandson and finally my father got honored!
Big, big hugs hun...give it time, you are a super awesome fab momma, you...

my girl was very obvious at 18 w 5 d and the tech was over 100% sure and also did not stay or linger in that region long at all. She seemed very sure girl and that's what I'm expecting to see in Sept!

Congrats!
LIke others have suggested, forget the stereotypes! Your son will be who he wants to be...my DS1 is 4 and loves to bake cookies with me, is very sensitve to other needs, and loves to just color and draw...yes he also likes to play rough with dinosaurs soemtimes and build big giant towers of blocks just to watch them fall down...but he has a sweet side of him, and I love ever...

150% yes....I swayed girl because I wanted to experience the mother-daughter relationship, not to have someone to shop with or to dress a mini me...
I feel that in my childhood my mom dressed me in fancy clothes but I didn't really care, I just wanted to play with my older brother :) So while I had tomboy tendencies, I also did the girl stuff that was expected of me. I didn't rebel, I was/am very...

I am having a girl, she is baskeball shape, but higher than my boy pregancies, but looks similiar enough that my sister questioned the baby's gender. "Are you sure it's a girl?" the gender was 100% confirmed, but still my shape (baskeball) threw her off, though I am carrying higher than my boys.

I have two boys and am having a girl, so I can't answer your post fully or even let you know 'how' it is, but I know how I want it go.
I do NOT want the only girl to be spoiled rotten. I feel this gives her no real advantage in life, and just hinder her progress as she becomes a young woman. (FYI, I was the last child and was spoiled, and it took me a long time to come to terms with the idea tha...

Dreaming,
I don't come on here a lot anymore, but I just had to post...because I had my fingers crossed so hard for you!! I really do believe he is meant to be...I know that may be hard to cope with now, but once you meet him (and I know you are a deeply loving woman!) you will fall head over heels for your newest man. And thanks for sharing such awesome pics of your other boys...they are a...

Brat, for what it is worth, the U/S tech confirmed I did O from my right (as I did with my sons) and this time I am having a girl. While I do believe the idea that O'ing from your right can increase your chances of a boy (being that the right ovary is typically a sign of high fertility), I have seen cases of boys from left ovary as well.
I am excited to hear that you are expecting aga...

DreamingofXX,
I am a believer in the moon signs. I do agree that nothing is 100%, but my sway was light and I really believe O'ing in new moon + female sign of capricorn helped, since my boys were both male moon signs. DS1 was new moon though, DS2 full moon, but both male moon signs, and once I saw how it lined up for me (Nov. and Dec. of last year lined up like that) I wanted to go ahead and tr...
