Re: Hypospadia birth defect?

I asked the tech if everything looked "ok" (for soft markers, dates, etc) throughout the scan and she replied "Yes", but then right before my DH and I left she said the provider's office may call or go over everything at the next appointment. Thursday just can't get here fast enough now...

Hypospadia birth defect?

I'm wondering if any of you fellow ladies have had a boy that ended up having hypospadia?Yesterday, I had my midpregnancy anatomy scan and the tech said everything looked good (thankfully), but one thing kept sticking out to me. The "boy shot" just didn't seem right... I could see his penis sticking out, but there seemed to be lines going down th shaft. So I posted on IG and another pregnancy bo...

What is this? 20w ultrasound

Helloy July Mommas! So sorry, to bug everyone about my ultrasounds... [:S]  I had my anatomy scan today and everything looked great (Thank you, Lord!) and the tech asked if we wanted to know the gender.  We had an elective 16w ultrasound, so we said, "yes" since we already *knew* but wanted confirmation.  They said "Boy!" again, but there was one part of the ultrasound pic that ...

Boy ultrasound, but what's this?

So I had my anatomy scan today and everything looked great (Thank you, Lord!) and the tech asked if we wanted to know the gender. We had a 16w ultrasound, so we said, "yes" since we already *knew* but wanted confirmation. They said "Boy!" again, but there was one part of the ultrasound pic that looked like labial folds to me instead of a scrotum.Maybe I'm just worried since there have been so ma...

Re: Mixed... Is it a boy? Could it be a girl?

How fun!  I'm due the day after you and my DS will be turning 4 and my DD will be turning 2 this year after their brother is born... our kiddos are right along the same ages and in the same order!  Cute!  GL with your pregnancy!

Help with U/S determination... boy/girl?

Hello Fellow July Mommas! I just know someone will be able to help me and my frazzled, pregnant mind (LOL!) Currently, I'm pregnant with LO#3 due 7/20 and just happy as can be about it. My DH and I already have a DS and a DD, so we *thought* with this one we would be surprised and find out the gender at the delivery. Well, where we live there is an U/S place in the mall, so curiosity got the be...

Re: How accurate are U/S measurements for weight?

That's how my Dr is, but we've had a few "scares" with this LO, so that's the only reason I've had extra U/S's. I've heard they won't do a third trimester U/S regarding fundal height unless the discrepancy is >2cm either big/small. I know what you mean though, wanting to know what's going on with your babe. We're definitely in the same boat, Sister!

Re: How accurate are U/S measurements for weight?

Do you know about how much of a difference it makes once the baby drops?  My Dr did say she was down and engaged already, so I knew that was a factor in the fundal height, but didn't think it could make up the 4 cm difference.

Re: How accurate are U/S weight measurements?

That's what I'm thinking too... I tried measuring myself again last night and it's still about 32-33 cm.... just looking forward to my next OB appt so hopefully I can ask some questions. Ditto!  Ha! [;)]

Re: How accurate are U/S measurements for weight?

From what I'vebeen reading around, it seems that the U/S's tend to underpredict babys' weights... meaning they seem to think smaller than the baby really is!  Now I'm really starting to psych myself out with this baby!  I really wish the tech never mentioned the estimated weight at all... at least if this DD was going to be big, I would have rather not known instead of having another 3 w...

Re: How accurate are U/S weight measurements?

What's making me nervous is it seems like they underpredict most of the time!  I just don't get the concept of (small belly + avg. amniotic fluid = >avg. baby) [:S] I'm still waiting on the Dr's office to call with the "official" report conclusion so maybe I can ask, but I'm really starting to psych myself out on this baby!

How accurate are U/S measurements for weight?

[HS] Good Morning December Mommas & IG Friends!  I was just wondering how accurate are U/S measurements for estimated birth weight? This week at my 36-week check-up, my DR measured my fundal height at 32cm (previously 34cm at my 34 week appt.) so she ordered an U/S just to check on everything, which we did last night.  [pray] Thankfully the technician said everything looked great ...

Fundal measurements retrograding?

Would love any help about this.... to keep it short and sweet, I am 36w2d pregnant today and my DR measured my fundal height at 32cm at my weekly checkup.  I know sometimes there can be "small for date" measurements, but when we looked up my numbers from my 34th week checkup, I measured at 34cm.  Has anyone ever heard of this or gone through it?  I have an appointment for an u...

Anna Bell,  I absolutely know where you are right now!  I actually remember you from the December forums (So glad you finally have a sweet little sticky bean!! [:D]) Before we "found out" what we are having, I was just desperate for a girl!  It consumed my mind day in and day out... the idea that we finally were having a baby after our loss this year was great, but more s...

Confirmed Lydia Pinkham Believer for TTC a DD!

Good Afternoon Girls! I just have to say that I am a true-blue believe in using Lydia Pinkham's Herbal Compound to help TTC a girl!  [DD][hearts]  My husband's family has not had a girl in many generations!  It was truly just expected that each pregnancy was going to result in a boy... but the stubburn girl that I am I was to try and give swaying a go.  I used cranberry ...
