DD1 will only wear knickers with princesses on them. She will only wear trousers that have a soft elasticated waist (leggings or joggers). In France we celebrate Mardi Gras rather than halloween (the children dress up for school..) and I always put on fancy dress. Yup waistcoat = vest, lol!I think dyeing a lab coat is a great idea. You can get home dyes quite easily, which can be used in the washing machine. As you have lots of girlies, I'd choose a red dye, then the washes that you do after dyeing the jacketcan be pink/red washes, and you won't worry about any dye residue in the machine (this has never happened to anybody I know..but I gu...

Dyeing (not sure I spelt that correctly!) is pretty easy, most supermarkets have cheap dyes that you can use.Waistcoats are a nightmare to get right, I'd get a cheap bright shirt from a thrift store and cut it into a waistcoat using shearing scissors.
