Re: welcome Kaila Marie!

Thank you all!  This was our first biological child and I think that everything was moving so fast that I didn't have time to be scared when they discovered the cord.  Thankfully, everything else was fine. :-)   Can't wait to hear about everyone else's babies too.  Everyone's due dates are approaching so fast now!

welcome Kaila Marie!

Our little Kaila Marie arrived on 1/2 at 4:43 pm.  We had a scheduled induction and it turned out that the cord was partially wrapped around her neck.  Thankfully all went well and there were no other complications. :-)  Congrats to all of the other "New Year's" babies!!!

Re: Inducing on 1/2

Thank you!  I've heard that Pitocin is no picnic but we are anxious to meet this little one.  Does anyone have expereince with being induced for their first birth?  Any tips?  I'm a little aprehensive. :-)

Inducing on 1/2

Hi All, I was in L/D on Christmas Eve with out of control contractions that led nowhere.  I'm dilated to 4cm and 90% effaced.  So, the Dr. has decided to induce this Sunday (Jan 2nd).  So, it looks like there will be several babies making their debut this coming week!  Yay!

Re: Ready for our little one

Thanks for the info!!  That would be so great. :-)  My nurse friend told me that being dilated 1-2, you can walk around for a month and not go into labor.  But that 3 cm was a much better sign that it could happen soon.

Ready for our little one

Hi All-I have been so out of the loop throughout most of this pregnancy but have been checking the boards every now and then. :-)  Congrats to everyone one being SO close to their due dates and the little one who has already arrived! In a span of 5 days, I went from being 2 cm dilated 50% effaced to 3 cm and 70% effaced.  Since this is our first bio child, I actually had no id...

Re: And today I was asked...

People are ridiculous sometimes.  There's no filter between their head and their mouth.  I know it's not really the same thing but we have 3 adopted kids, two of which look nothing like my husband, and you should hear some of the insensitive things we get asked.  Don't worry about other people.  Just be thinking about a healthy, happy baby! :-)

When will you have your gender scan?

Just curious if anyone else has had their gender scans yet or will have theirs soon?  I know that since I'm due on Jan. 1st, I'm probably the first to have had one.  We had ours early at 14.5 weeks GA.  They were able to get great potty shots and tell us that our baby is a girl.  However, I'm suddenly having all of these worries that the scan is wrong or that something wi...
