I read that opks would detect hcg, but not until the levels were higher. Therefore, a pregnancy test would become positive first. Also that lh strips had alot more room for error because they were more cheaply made when compared to hcg tests. I would be interested to read the sites you found concerning opks as pregnancy tests. I wonder if statistically the women who used them to detect pregnancy...

Took my boys (and sisters) to Disneyland for the holidays...sorry I left without updating. Unfortunately AF did finally show up...as I was beginning to anticipate it would! Im on cd 6 today, but considering the cost of vials may be sitting out until after xmas!? I have a few more days to decide...

Well girls,
AF has yet to arrive, but I think I may be out just the same...I have not had a positive test yet (18 dpo) and am thinking that I am just having one of those wonky cycles that no one can really explain. I will definately update if anything changes (even if that is just to let you all know that the witch showed up). And Belles I can't wait to hear if you got the Beau ...

I'm at 17 dpo and have not tested today, but all previous tests have been bfn. I guess I'm still in this until af shows, but can't understand what's up... My cycles have always been 31-33 days and af was due on the 14th. I can't really tell if my chart is triphasic or not because I didn't bbt with my previous pregnancies. Who knows, still waiting and hoping.
I am so happy for you! (party). L...

Oh, Belles & Beaus does that ticker in your siggy mean what I think it means?!!! [HB] I sooo hope you got your BFP!!
I'm afraid things for me have unfortunately not been rainbows and butterflies. I'm not out of this yet, but having said that I can't figure out where I am exactly! I have been going crazy not being able to talk to you about any of this...my tests have all been - and m...

Oh the funny things kids say...my 5 yr old neice had a headache today and wanted to take some tylenol, but couldn't get the lid open (not even sure how she got the bottle in the first place). When I walked into the kitchen and saw her struggling, I took the bottle to help and explained that "it has a child-proof lid". She just looked at me in wonder and asked, "How does it know its me?" ...

I am so happy for you, and ty for all of the information regarding your test results I'm sure it is comforting to those who have tested early and not gotten the BFP they wanted...gives us all hope! Thanks, and Congrats![:-)]

I am stressing because I have tested again at 13 DPO and BFN. I have creamy CM af is due dstaurday and I think the cramps I have been having is my PCOS cycts. what was your CM before you had af or BFP?

I haven't had a BFP yet, but personally I rarely have any CM right before AF (dry) and with my boys I had abundant creamy CM pr...

So glad that everything went well for you Belles & Beaus...welcome to the waiting game! Don't let others discourage your choice...haven't any of them ever heard of Elle Magazine, Elle MacPherson, or "Elle" from Legally Blonde! It is a sweet, but hip and modern name...as she grows up she'll love it! I really hope we both get BFPs this month and have the chance to follow each others j...

Agreed...time seems to be slowing down! I have a ton of HCG tests, but probably won't start testing for a little while...right now I'm content, (impatient yes, but content) so I would rather not become discouraged over a pee stick that doesn't always know what its talking about! BTW, I wanted to tell you that I love your little girl's name! I consider...

hannah232008-- I'm not really familiar with the 5 day cut off...I only researched O+12 because that was the timing I intended to use...plus, cutoffs don't really apply to my situation as I have no control over xx and xy numbers because mine come in a vial. lol! I sincerely hope for your sake that you get the little girl you want, especially if this baby will be your last. (fingers crossed) Good Lu...

Geez! Here it is Halloween...I'm making goodies with my boys and sisters, putting the finishing touches on our costumes, getting ready for our yearly Halloween Party (It's going to be Epic!) and all I can think is "Come on BFP!" like a song on repeat. Here's hoping everyone in the 2ww has a wonderful Halloween and doesn't drive themself too crazy! On the bright side, I am dressing up as a Gypsy......

Fingers Crossed...that we both end up with the gender we are hoping for! I lost my DH in 9/11, so it's just me and my boys now...doing this all alone is tough, but I am hopeful that I will eventually welcome a new little wonder to complete my family.
How many dpo are you? and is this your first? just curious...[:-)]

I will be testing around the 11th of November (and probably a few times before that too [;)]) until either AF shows up or I get the BFP I've been hoping for. Anyone testing around the same time? I would love to hear your stories and how your sways went! I am nervously optimistic about my imperfect sway attempt. I want a princess badly, but it's out of my hands now and I know I will be happy ...

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting it back into the safe range?....maybe lowering the amount of cranberry or less CL? I know that everytime I have tested my ph with sylk, it has been 4.7. Would you recommend using it before my attempt if my ph tests too low? and how would that affect my sway?
Thank you for all of your replies...I'm just so close now I want to give myself the best chance...

I have been taking supplements and strictly following the girl diet for 8 wks now and was so happy when I saw that it was working to lower my ph. But I will be ovulating in the next couple of days and the closer my cm gets to ewcm the lower the ph gets! It has been between 4.25 and 4.12 on my digital tester for the past two weeks, but today it was 3.88...I am still following the same di...

I am ttc in October and have been worried about ions affecting my sway too. I know a lot of the girls who are ttc a girl buy Ki flow bracelets and necklaces, or you can buy a – ion bracelet on ebay—that’s what I did. I also have rock salt lamps…one by my bed and one I sit by during the day. I will also be taking a shower an hour prior to my next attempt because it is supposed to ...

Thank you HandprintOnMyHeart, I feel like a dunce. My bottle clearly says 36:1 Fruit eq...not sure how I missed it. SO one 500mg pill would be the fruit eq. of 18,000mg.
How about Crystal Light? Has anyone heard that it makes you more acidic...true or not? [:^)]

Cranberry (total of 1,500 to 10,000 mg a day if possible. This is based on equal to fresh fruit equivalent.. not amount on bottle. This part can be tricky. So, 10,000 ml equivalent to fresh fruit) take from af to O can take from your af to af (or stop at your o to save money)
Based on the fresh fruit equivalent...not amount on bottle? I have no idea what this mea...

I'm out ladies. After a week of declining hCG levels I had a miscarriage on Wednesday. My doctor is telling me that it is most likely due to an underactive thyroid...who knows!? [:'(] I am feeling pretty low and will definately be taking some time to recover before trying again. GL to you all!

Feeling so tired and fragile!
I woke up in the middle of the night because our cat Violet was scratching my rug next to my bed. I have been so tired lately I was initially annoyed and yelled at her, but then I noticed that she was behaving very strangely--sort of flopping back and forth on her sides like a fish-- and that she was having a hard time breathing. I immediately calle...

Mulva thanks for the laugh [:D]
I have funny dreams like that all the time...while we were on vacation a few weeks ago my sister said I sat up in the middle of the night and yelled, "they dropped the bomb, RUN!" Of course, that probably wasn't a funny dream (I can't really remember), but my sisters thought it was hilarious.
Now I am having more vivid dreams and remembering them as we...
