Hey to everyone! I had been wanting to check in too, but have not gotten a chance to yet. Caroline is doing wonderfully and you would never know that she spent a day in the NICU. She is such a sweet baby with the most wonderful personality and is starting to laugh and smile, which just melts my heart! I will post pics soon - she has changed so much!
Glad to hear you and Ba...

Heather - I never in a MILLION years thought that I would have 6 children!! Like you, I thought that I would have a boy and then a girl and be done, but life had a different plan for me I guess. After having my first two and with my second DS, I knew there would be a third b/c I had to try for a DD; I had some GD with DS2 but not extremely bad b/c I knew we could financi...

Caroline had her 2 week appt 4 weeks ago and was up to 6 - 12 then, a pound more than birth weight. They did another PKU at that one. Her 6 week appt is next Tues 8th and I am anxious to see what she weighs - she has become quite the chunk !!! At that appt, she will get HIB, Prevnar and Pediarix (docs office gives us a schedule of immunizations). I'll just gi...

I can hardly believe that Caroline is 6 weeks tomorrow and I'll be heading back to work next week, the day after Labor Day - [:(]. I am so sad about returning - this is the first full maternity leave I have ever taken and I have enjoyed every minute of it !!!! I am lucky though in that my Mom quit her job and is becoming our full time "Nanny"; I had taken the kids to the same&nbs...

Well, I have 5 boys and just had my precious Caroline, thanks to IG and swaying!! We did 2 rounds of Microsort with IUI in 2004 and did not get preg either time, then consulted for IVF/PGD in March of 2008 and both decided that we just couldn't afford it, so I really studied IG and all the swaying techniques. Both DH and I swayed and we got our little princess [:)]. I am convince...

No, I had no idea at all and was shocked - don't worry yourself though - you probably are fine!! I still don't have any "symptoms" that would even lend me to believe that something was wrong - just that normal feeling that you get after having your 6th kid and not being quite healed yet ..... Let me know how you make out at your 6 wk checkup.

He asked me about that and I really don't have this too badly. However, if he has to keep my uterus from "falling out", then he said he could do this at the same time ..... might as well have it all done, huh??? I wonder how the Duggar woman's parts don't fall out ??? (18 kids and counting woman - she must have one tough uterus - LOL )

I knew that this baby, whether boy or girl, would be our last and luckily, with the help of IG, we have our little Caroline. DH had his "minor procedure" (he was snipped ...) this past Wednesday and now, it is a done deal. Before, we always had the option of having another child if we decided to but now, we no longer have that option and in a weird way, it makes me sad. I lo...

Geez, doc made it sound like it was nothing much at all and that it was just one night in the hospital ..... now, I don't know. I'm gonna wait and see what happens since I have no "outward" symptoms and I had no idea I even had it. However, if DTD is painful (and he said it may be), then I'll have to go ahead and get it done I guess ......

So, thinking my 6 week postpartum checkup would be routine, I was surprised to find out that I have stage ll uterine prolapse - where my muscles/ligaments in my pelvic floor are weak and my uterus is actually freakin' sliding down (TMI). It may stay where it is or it may descend even more - WTH? Doc said that it is not uncommon, esp after having so many kids, and that surgery...
