If you are like me...my house is overflowing with toys.
I always ask people for a portion of memberships or gift certificates to the zoo, science center, etc. Or gift certificates to pottery painting, build a bear, local play places (pump it up). I love getting an 'activity' rather than a new toy to clutter my house.
Of course....it may not be as fun to open.

I had a failed great sway for DS#3......and then failed twice at HT. Then I had an oops and had my DG with no sway at all. My opinion....50/50 chance.

As far as looks....yes! As far as personallity....a huge NO!
She is a little blond haired blue eyed girl, who resembles me more than my husband (finally). But that is where my dream come true stops. I wish I could have just been happy she is a girl. But this little spitfire of a daughter is so stubborn, screams, hits, constantly wants to be held but not cuddly...

I just wanted to add to the flip side. There is not a guarentee with ICSI for fertilization...but it is supposed to help. However, it didn't help me much. I had 19 eggs, and only 5 fertilized using ICSI (and MS). And, I was told by my RE that it increases the odds ever so slightly of an extra chomosome, and of course one of my abnormal females had that.
I would reall...

OMG....me too! I truly felt that I was doing something wrong dressing her up. She looked just like my boys....but not really. She looks nothing like them. But every baby I had (and infants do look like...well...infants)...was a boy....and every time I looked at her she was a boy dressed in pink! I totally forgot about that!!

What you are feeling is SO normal. In fact, we are trying to get a forum for those that get the DG who have for many years felt GD. Its an odd mixture of feelings. You are happy, but don't realy believe that this is your girl. You get so defensive of the boys....because they don't seem 'good enough' now by strangers. You feel guilty for all the time GD has taken away ...

I let three of my 4 sleep on their belly from day 1. They just slept better that way. I don't believe that sids is from tummy sleeping at all. It could be many things....including what my mom belives (she is a nicu nurse) that most cases are group b strep infection (and not from the mom). A friend of mine from HS had triplets. One morning, around when the kids were 4 ...

I think you know what you want to do...just don't want any dependancies. I say let them, especially after their loss. Its not like he will be in high school and still in your bed, [;)]
All my kids have slept with me until about the age of 4 or 5....I like it too. My dh is gone most nights and I actually have most of them camp out in my room. I feel safer!

My daughter has had this weird...shall we say skin issue, in the groin (where her leg meets the torso) for at least a month. It has not spread, changed, dried up....nothing and I am starting to get worried. It is not a normal diaper rash and I don't know whether to be worried (starting to since it won't go away). I am only worried about the raised sack like things. The...

I too recommend sticking with piercing earrings. One, they lock so much better, and two, they are most likely still very hypoallergenic so it won't cause irriatation/allergy,
I have found some cute flower ones for 1/4 of the cost of piercing pagoda at this ebay store. They are great and shipping is so fast.

I had so much mucus with my last pregnancy....I didn't know what was going on. When I got about 30 weeks it got a lot thinner...and I had so much I kept thinking my water broke. It was a lot...all the time. I felt at many times I wet my pants!
Not to put any ideas in you head, but I only had it with my last pregnancy...the girl after 3 boys.

The only one I knew with was ds#3...after I had a very early convincing dream.
With my dd, I didn't know she was a girl. But for some reason I just became UN-jealous of all the little girls I would see around. Instead of crying, I was content. Maybe I knew, but didn't let myself really think it.

As one who did MS and had 19 eggs retrieved, and only 5 of those were fertilized using frozen ms sperm and ICSI....and of those 5, 4 were female (3 abnormal, one arrested before transfer) and one male....MS did its job of the 90% females. But I believe I would have had way more embies after fertilization and less abnormals if I would not have used MS.
My vote from my experience.....

Thats my third Ds too! (although I had more GD with #2...just didn't know what it was then). He is the center of attention wherever he goes. People always comment on how cute he is. I love him to bits too. He is always so easy going and happy!. I always say, if I could guarentee his personallity in a girl, I would go for #5 (but I cannot handle another one like ...

We are in a similar situation. Thinking of moving all three boys into the master, have dh and I in one of the bedrooms and Kate in the other bedroom. We have it all planned out, and I picked out everything for Kates room....its just getting the painting done and furniture moving which is taking its own sweet time.
I did go with a bigger girl theme (Kate is 20 months old). ...

I think people who do HT do believe it is 50/50. They just don't want to take that 1 in 2 risk to have another of the same gender. They want a certain # of kids and will do HT to make for CERTAIN that they get the DG. They know there is that possibility to get their DG next time naturally....but it is not certain. A 50/50 shot is NOT a pretty good shot at your DG when you...

Whenever I think about swaying I think....did all those millions of people that have girls (or boys) have to do this? Do those million of people have that environment, happen to be at that pH, or the exact timing. And the answer is no. And do those with a pp really change that much between the two kids? No to that too! Mother nature is smart......its as close to...

I used frozen MS sperm and personally would never again.
I had 19 eggs retreived, and after using ICSI, only 5 fertilized with frozen MS sperm. Of those 5, 3 were abnormal female, 1 normal male, and one normal female that arrested. And its not just frozen MS sperm, I don't think I would use MS again. I just don't think my dh spermies can handle it. I had multipule fo...

I say never....even if you get your desired gender. I am so jealous of those that got a daughter without trying, without spending lots of $$, without having 4 kids to get her....and so jealous of girls that are content and happy (neither of what mine is). I am a LOT less jealous now....but there is still those lingering pangs.

It is good that you are asking these questions....because I never thought it could happen to me.
I did MS/IVF/PGD, and while I didn't end up with all boy embies....I DID end up with only normal boy embies. Out of 5 embies that made it to PGD (out of 19 eggs), one was a normal male and 3 were abnormal female and one normal female arrested after PGD. So I went through it all to e...

I don't have a picture, but I saw a potty shot of my 10 weeker (almost 11) and there were three dots...and the center one most definetly was further out then the other two. There was for sure a 'protrusion'. I cried all the way home (didn't ask about gender, just looked VERY cloesly during scan).
Well you can just guess how surprised I was to get the CVS results a few days...
