I admit I'm a bit of a lurker. I don't always know what to say and also don't want to accidentally say something to hurt somebody's feelings. I've never understood why family cares what gender children YOU have. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had a dream that I had a baby that turned into a male kitten. (I knew it was a male because of the name I had given him) With my son I dreamt of both genders. I think with him it's because I wanted another daughter so badly. So, I'd say with me it was opposite with my daughter and downright confusing with my son.

I think it's possible that life experiences make us experience GD. I didn't have the same bad experience that you've had with males but I've dealt with enough rotten boys that it turned me off to having a son I think. It didn't happen with my SIL. She had two daughters with her first husband, and she and my brother have a daughter together. She's convinced that she can't make boys. LOL I think she really wants a son for my brother though. She's super attached to my son.

Psychedelique, don't feel bad about having GD for your first baby. There are plenty of women out there who have had it with their first. I have a couple of family members who had GD with their first. (one only had one child) A friend of mine did as well....
