E-mail from the FBI??

Did anyone else get this e-mail from the FBI??  I just got it today...  Hello,   My name is Michael Barretto and I work for the FBI/Department of Justice.  According to our records, you had bought a prenatal gender test from the website Baby Gender Mentor (Acu-Gen).  Since you are one of the people that purchased a test, I would like to ask a couple questions.  ...

Re: RGI in Chicago???

I love the tap shoes!  I'm a dance teacher so that picture is right up my alley!  I e-mailed RGI with some questions and got a response the same day which I thought was impressive.  I was given the name and number of a of Christina Lavin at RGI - she is a Genetic Counselor/PGD coordinator.  She has been extremely helpful.  She e-mailed me their PGD packet wh...

RGI in Chicago???

Has anyone done PGD/IVF at Reproductive Genetics Institute in Chicago???  I had a phone consult with them last week and am planning for May or June.  I live in Iowa and this is the closet clinic to me - it's about 4 hours away.  The IVF clinic in our area does PGD but their Ethics policy states that they can't do it for family balancing - they won't even do my labs - so frustrating!...

Re: Oh boy, and boy, and boy again...

I feel like you are telling my story bluebyblue!  When I found out I was having DS#3 I cried like a baby for days.  I initally found out via the infamous Baby Gender Mentor test.  I took the test early in its exsistence - before we all realized it was a hoax.  After I found this board I still had some hope for a DD as I was finding a lot of wrong results.  Needless to say,...

Re: Embryo donation and affording IVF/PGD

I donated eggs once right after college (about 10 years ago) and I was compensated $5000 plus travel expenses back then.  It was actually $1250 for completing the meds and $3750 for the retrival.  Look around at different agencies as our local one only paid $1800 total for an egg donation.  The one that I used was based out of California but had couples all over the countr...

X/Y ratio question

I am wondering about the X/Y sperm ratio that was talked about in a previous thread.  I have three boys and have been researching PGD.  We are planning to use the Fertility Institute in Las Vegas (www.fertility-docs.com).  They will test the X/Y ratio of the father's sperm prior to a couple making the decision about what they are actually going to do.  They have cases you can r...

Re: Mirena Questions

Except for the cramps I love it!  No period - there's something to be said for that.  I would just like to get to the root of the cramping - maybe it will eventually go away??  I'm not sure what's up with my OB/GYN - they told me that her next available appointment is next August so they aren't booking appointments and that she would call me.  Maybe I need to switch - hard...

Mirena Questions

Hi everyone!  I got the Mirena IUD after baby #3 was born last January as my OB/GYN really recommended it.  Is anyone out there also using it and, if so, are you having any troubles or has anyone gotten pregnant?  I have not had a period since the day I got it but I have cramps all of the time.  Plus, a mom I met at my son's swim lessons just got pregnant on it.  I called ...

Re: Roll Call ~~ TTC a Girl

I found this site after I took the BGM test and although I don't post very often I do read through about once a week.  I live in Iowa and just had DS #3 in January (Hayden - 5, Cameron -3 and Brennen - 6 mos).I have been wanting a DD for a long time and were even on the Dr. Phil show about it.  I am too scared to try any of the natural gender swaying methods as I just don't have eno...

Re: What's worse than skin-tight lycra bike shorts?

I live in Iowa - so cool that you are going on Ragbrai! I haven't been on-line much lately since the birth of baby #3 but I had some time this afternoon and when I saw the title of your post I had to read it!  And then to find out you're riding your bike across my neck of the woods!  Yikes, I couldn't tell you the last time I was even on a bike...

Re: EVERYONE!! IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ URGENT!

I just submitted the questionnaire.  My results were correct but I still don't feel that I got what I paid for.  I spent my entire pregnancy wondering - just like I would have if I hadn't bought the test.  Wang needs to go down in flames!

Re: Mirena IUD

I got the Mirena IUD about 3 weeks ago and so far so good!  I had been using the Ortho Evra patch prior to my last pregnancy and my doc doesn't like to prescribe that anymore (she had a 19 year old patient have a stroke on it).  She highly recommend this Mirena so I talked to my hubby about it and called my insurance company.  I love not having to worry about anything!

Re: not trying to start World War 3.....just a question.

I live in Iowa, in the heart of the mumps outbreak.  Some of the people getting the mumps were vaccinated, and some were not.  Those that were vaccinated have had much milder cases of this horrible disease.  A few years ago Iowa had an outbreak of Rubella as well.  The root of these outbreaks is speculated to be in our large Amish and Mennonite populations - they don't get...

All three of my sons were conceived on the day before O so keep your hopes up!  I'll be thinking of blue for you!

Congratulations!  You give me hope as I'm also a mom of three boys and wanting a girl!  Keep us updated!

Re: WATCH VIOLET AND I ON WORLD NEWS TONIGHT!!!!

Wow!  Our local news channel in Iowa even carried the story this morning!  Our local anchor talked about the story and then they showed your segment!  I was so happy that it was even getting coverage in my little corner of the world!

Re: Grayson is finally here!

Congrats!  He's wonderful!  I just had boy #3 on January 17th and I wouldn't change it for the world!  The nurses at the hospital told me that moms of three or more boys go straight to heaven - no questions asked!

Re: What I've heard about this site is true...

If you actually read through the posts on this site you will find that there are lots of us with correct BGM results - I'm one of them.  BUT, this doesn't mean that I think that this company is a good one.  Obviously I have no quarrel with my results - my quarrel is with the 99.9% certainty that they guarantee (used to guarantee, I guess, since that statement has disappeared from their w...

Re: Scared for u/s on 2/2...

How wonderful!!  I love hearing when people get what they are praying for!  I just had boy #3 so I'm still hoping for a girl - 4th time is a charm!

Re: Boy #2...

Does the freezing/un-freezing process negatively affect pregnancy rates?

Re: Ultarasound

Knowing when to stop seems to be the hardest part.  When we decided to try for #2 I thought for sure it would be a girl and we had boy #2.  We talked about doing Microsort for #3 and were even on the Dr. Phil show about it.  But, I waited about 2 1/2 years after #2 and by that time I just wanted a baby.  I took my temperature etc but got pregnant right away and, of course, it w...

Re: This maybe stupid..But would you ever try a psychic?

Dear Love,   I recently went to psychic medium while I was pregnant with my third son (he was just born 2 weeks ago).  My grandpa was one of the people that came forward for me and she said that he was holding a baby girl and said that she would come when I least expected it and that it wouldn't be by my plan.  She said that I had two more babies besides the one my grandpa was hol...

I must have missed an earlier post from you - how many boys do you have?

Re: Boy #2...

I'm almost 32 so I'm with you on not wanting to wait too long.  I tried just taking my temperature and trying to conceive about 3 days before ovulation on #2 and #3.  Obviously that didn't work out.  I just kept believing that I would have a girl - I still do.  I'm going to e-mail Microsort today - that's a fabulous idea.  I see that they have quite a few cooperating physi...
